Silhouette 101 - Mother's Day Card

Once again, my sister and I had a skype session with our silhouettes.  We decided to play around with the "For You" card on silhouette online.  I changed the colors and didn't add a ribbon but I liked how it came out.

It is late and I think I will go read my book for a while before going to bed.  I will be back tomorrow with an announcement.

Have a good night.

Silhouette 101 - Spring Rain

My sister saw a card over on Bird's website last week that she really liked so we put it on our to be cut list.  It has taken me two days to get the four cards completely.  I just couldn't seem to finish the cards.  I finally sat down tonight and finished them.  I think they came out really cute.

I hope everyone had a great weekend and that the upcoming week is just as great.  Make sure to check back during the week because I have a big announcement.

Silhouette 101 - Mother's Day

I went over to Svgcuts to pick up the free svg file for the week and I just had to pick up the Mother's Day set.  I have already made a Mother's day card but I made another one today.  I think both my Mother and Mother-in-law will be getting several cards from me this year.

I really like this one.  Well, I hope everyone has a great weekend.

Repeat Impressions - Shaped Cards DCC424

This is today's project.  Yesterday Repeat Impressions posted their Designer's Choice Challenge.  It was shaped cards.  This was right up my alley.  I just love shaped cards as you probably know by now.  This is the first card that I came up with.

The tulip shaped card is from Silhouette Online and the stamp is from Repeat Impression.  It is the crocuses stamp but it reminds me of tulips, so that is how I used it here.  I love the stamp and have used it a couple of times lately.

I hope you enjoy the card.

Silhouette 101 - 3D Butterfly

I know everyone is tried of hearing about the silhouette but I am so enjoying it.  I am still stamping and making cards but it is so much easier with my cutter.  Last night, I wanted some thing quick and easy so I cut out this butterfly card.  All I added was the ribbon.  Two months ago, it would have taken a while to get the butterflies punched into the cards.

I don't get much traffic or comments so in attempt to increase my comments, I am offering this card to any one who leaves a comment between now and May 30, 2013.  The color may be different but it will be the butterfly card.  Just leave a comment and I will get in touch with you to get your mailing address.

I hope you have a great day.  I will see you in a little while with some thing from today.

Silhouette 101 - "B" Box

My son comes home from college this weekend.  It is hard to believe that it is time for him to come home for the summer.

As a surprise, I made the Silhouette "B" box.  It came out pretty good.  I filled it with one of his favorite candies, Jolly Ranchers.

Riley Spring - Riley 0813

This morning I decided to play with a challenge.  I picked the one over on Riley and Co.  It was to make a spring card.  I didn't want to use the same Riley with flowers again so I went with this bouncy ball riley.

I added the flower to make it more springy.

I hope you enjoy the card.  Have a great day.

Silhouette 101 - Umbellras

Here is the other card we made last night.  My sister find a similar card on pinterest.  I don't have the link so I will just post the card for now.

I love the little gems as raindrops.

Have a great day.

Silhouette 101 - Butterfly

Hello everyone.  I hope you are having a great weekend.  It was cold here but we did see the sun for a short while.

My sister called me late last night and we played around with our silhouettes.  She loved this butterfly so that was the first project.  I don't normally use purple but I had some sitting here that had three similar colors.  So purple it is.  I am not sure where my sister got the butterfly.

I hope everyone enjoys the card.

Silhouette 101 - Police Car

My nephew is a South Carolina state trooper.  I am so proud of him. It was what he always wanted to do and it loves his job.  I am always looking for related stamps to send cards to him.  His birthday is at the end of the month so the police card over on Silhouette Online was perfect.

I hope he enjoys the card.  Have a great weekend.

Silhouette 101 - Butterfly Shaped Card

This card came from Cutting Cafe.  I have had it for a while.  When I purchased it, I was just going to cut it with scissors but now I don't have to.

This week's cards

I haven't done a lot of creating this week.  I started two cards but I didn't finish them until tonight.  Both of them are cards, I cut with my silhouette.  I am still enjoying it.

The first card is the Rose Frame card from Bird's Cards.  I just love her site.  She has some great ideas and she usually offers the cutting files for free.  If you have a cutter, you should check out her site.

I hope you enjoy the card and have a great weekend.

Repeat Impressions - DCC327 Spring Flowers

As some of you know, I love doing the challenges over at Repeat Impressions.  The Designer's Choice Challenge (DCC327) last week was Spring Flowers.  It was just perfect for me because I have had spring fever for a few days now.

I cut the step card out with my silhouette.  It sure makes making cards easier.

I hope you like the card.

Silhouette 101 - Just Because

My son is a gamer.  So when I saw this pattern, I knew it was perfect for my son.  I only cut out a couple of them.  I haven't heard what he thought of the card but that isn't unusual.  He probably didn't check his mail.  He only checks it every few days.

Silhouette 101 - Bee Hive

I am learning so much about my Silhouette Cameo.  It is just so much fun.  It has been so nice having this week off from work.  I don't know what I am going to do next week when I have to go back to work.  I guess I will just have to make time every afternoon to play around.

I made this card for my BIL for his birthday in a couple of weeks.  I got the files from Birds Cards, but I combined a few and made it my own.  I hope he likes the card.

Chat with you all later.

Silhouette 101 - Mom

I haven't felt good today so I want to cut something simple/easy.  I had this Mom card marked for Mother's Day so I decided to go ahead and cut it.  I really liked how it came out.  I have a few feeling that my Mom and Mom-in-law are going to get more than one card.

Which brings up a question, would you rather get cards mailed individually or a big envelope with several cards inside?  Let me know what you think.

If you have a cutter of any kind, you really need to check out Birds Cards.  She has some amazing files on her site and she put all of them up there for free.

Off to clean up the house a little.  Catch all of you later.

Silhouette 101 - Daisy Edge

I found this card over on Birds Card.  It had to be resized to make a regular card but it was practice for me and so with it.  I just love the card.  My sister had trouble with it.  I haven't heard whether she got it finished or not.  I hope so.

I hope you enjoyed the card.  Have a great evening.

Riley Challenge - Riley 0613

I can't believe I used the same stamp for the last two challenges, but it is a cute little Riley and it is almost spring.  I may have to go over to the Riley & Co site and purchase a few more stamps.  Most of my Riley's are winter and fall stamps.

The challenge over on Riley & Co was to use twine on the card.  I had trouble coming up with some thing so that is why I posted my card at the last minute.

I hope you like the card.  Have a great night.

Silhouette 101 - Lighthouse

Okay, here is today's silhouette project.  I have had this file for a while and just have never taken the time to make it so today I cut it with my new cameo.  It was just so much fun.  I can't tell you how much I enjoy my silhouette cameo.

I am going to sit down and do some actual stamping tonight.  I have a couple of challenges I want to make.

Have a great night.

Silhouette 101 - Step Card

I think my Silhouette projects are going under the heading of Silhouette 101.  There is just so much to learn.  But I am so enjoying the time.  My sister also bought one so every evening we get together on Skype and we make one project.  It doesn't matter how long it takes.  I usually make 6-8 cards, my sister only makes 1 or 2.  I have got to stop and actually send out some cards.  I have a whole stack sitting on my desk.

A friend is coming over this afternoon to stamp.  I am planning on working with my Riley stamps.  So hopefully there will be another card posted late this evening.

This card is made using the house step card over on Silhouette Online.  I wasn't sure about it at first but my sister really wanted to make the card so that is what we did.  I just adore it.  It is going to be another spring time card.  I used the tulips from there also.

I hope everyone has a special week.
