Cut It Up Challenges

Hello and Happy Friday.  I have been so busy lately that I haven't participated in the Cut It Up Challenges.  I wanted to make sure to catch up with all of my friends over there, so here is a card for the challenge.

The theme is Friendship.  In my way of thinking, love and friendship go hand in hand so I thought this sentiment would work.  The image and sentiment are from From The Heart.  I also cut a small ice cream cone for the inside of the card.

The sponsor this week is Heartfelt Creations.  The winner will get a $20.00 gift certificate.  I can't wait to see everyone's cards.

Have a great weekend.

Monster Mash

Hello and Good Morning. Have you ever had one of those mornings/days where you just have to walk away?  Today is that day.  My cutting machine is just not happy with me today.  First, the paper slipped, so I cleaned my mat and got it all sticky again.  Then it wouldn't cut all the way through the paper so I adjusted the blade and it still wouldn't cut.  So I replaced the blade.  I shouldn't need a new this one hasn't been used that much.  But I replaced it anyway.  It still didn't cut really well.  So I am turning it off and walking away.  I have clothes to fold any way.

Before I go, let me show you the card I am working on.  I got enough cut out to put one together.  I am using the sketch from Paper Play Sketches.  I just love their sketches.

I know I used this little monster a few days ago but he was just so cute and still on my cutting machine's drawing board so here he is.  I am using up some of my scraps so it is taking longer to cut him, but I have so many scraps to use.  Once again, I put a wobble behind him.

I am using him in the following challenges:
   Crafty Sentiments - Anything Goes
Paper Play Sketches - Sketch #47
Jo's Scrap Shack - Anything Goes
Connie Can Crop - Use Your Stash

Chat with you later.  Hopefully, my machine will like me better this afternoon.

RWB Thinking of You

Hello.  How is everyone doing?  As always, I have been busy.  I started back working at my second job and it has kept me busy and then my son has been here visiting for the last few days and it has been wonderful having him here.  It just means I haven't had a lot of computer time.  He is out of the house tonight so I sat down for a little while.

I decided to pull one of my to finish projects.  It is red, white and blue but instead of a patriotic sentiment, I just put thinking of you on it.  I thought it would be nice to send to my in-laws.  My father-in-law is retired Army and all of us are proud of him and his service to this country.  I know he will like the red, white and blue theme.

I am using it in the following challenges:
Fab N Funky - Use Patterned Paper
   Penny's - Anything Goes #338
   Simon Says Wednesday - Stars
   Crafty Calendar - Anything Goes

Hello again

Hello.  I have a bunch of cards started but not finished.  I am really bad about making a card, then putting the pieces together in a ziplock to finish when I get together with friends.  I have been so busy that I have missed the last monthly get together.  So I want to finish up some of these kits.

I used this card for the 4th of July and I finished all of them except two.  Now they are all done.  I like the fold on it.  And of course, it has an elephant on it so it is perfect for most of my family.

I am using it in the following challenges:
Glitter N Sparkle - Red, White & Blue
Paper Play Sketches - Red, White & Blue
Inspiration Destination - Anything Goes #132

Chat with you later.

Happy Birthday

Hello.  Where has this week gone?  I can't believe it is Friday already.

I have been trying to pull some of my old digitals out of their folders and using them.  This is an old Meijen image.  I so miss her.  She had some great images.   I guess I will just have to be happy with the ones I have.

Lots of layers on it and of course it is pink.  I am once again on a pink kick.  I am going to have to quit using pink so much.

I am using it in the following challenges:
Di's Digitals - Layer It Up
   Penny's - Anything Goes #337
In The Pink - Special Occasion
   Creative Knockouts - Birthday Wishes

Meow

Hello.  How is everyone today?  It hasn't starting raining yet today but it sure is muggy.  I couldn't concentrate on anything last night so I have a million things cut and laying all over my desk.

This meow title is one of them.  I cut a bunch of them.  So now I have to use them.  It is hard to tell in the picture but the cat is gray and white.  I added some texture to the stripe to add some dimension.

I take my card pics on top of my fish tank.  And that is my cat's favorite place to lay when I am moving around the house.  Usually when I place a card on it to take a picture, she moves.  Not today, so you get a shot of her too.  I thought it appropriate since it is a cat card.

I am using this card in the following challenges:
CAS-ual Friday - Tic Tac Toe
Sunny Day Crafting - A is for Animals
Brown Sugar - Anything Goes #258
Gem of a Challenge - Animals
Word Art Wednesday - Anything Goes

I have a few things to do around the house, but I want to finish these and the monster cards from yesterday.  So I will be back.  Chat with you later.

Monster Mash

Hello on a rainy Monday.  I think it is suppose to rain most of the week.  Lots of time inside.  Now just to get my to do list done so I can hang out here.

I have a love hate thing going with Miss Kate Cutables.  I love her images.  They are so detailed and adorable.  I love all of the layers.  It makes every thing pop.  The hate part comes in when I have to cut all of the layers.  You have to get the right colors and each has to be cut separately.  But it is worth it in the end.

Isn't this the cutest monster?  I don't make a lot of children's cards but I just had to make him.  I only cut two of them but I am going to go back and make more.  My niece's son will be getting him in the mail.  I even added a wobble on the back so Liam will have fun playing with the card.

I am going to use the card in the following challenges:
   AudSentiment - For A Child
Fab N Funky - Little Boys & Girls
Paper Play Sketches - Sketch #46
   Tuesday Throwdown - Monster Mash

Chat with all of you later.

Pizza my Heart

Hello and Happy Sunday  I am going to head out in a little while to buy groceries for the week.  Before I went I wanted to make a quick card.

My husband runs his own business and the office part is in our home.  He isn't very organized so his desk is usually a mess.  He spent yesterday cleaning it off.  I thought I would surprise him with a card in the middle of his desk.  I put this together late last night.

When I saw the challenge over at CASology, I figured I wouldn't do it.  With a pizza theme, I was at a loss what to do.  This was in my Valentines folder so I thought why not.  It would be a good card for my husband's desk.  Instead of cutting all the pieces.  I filled in the colors, grouped them together and printed them.  Then I just had to cut the red shadow piece.

I added a polka dot texture to the top since I hate blank space and that is the card.  Simple and quick to do.

I am using it in the following challenges:
   CASology - Pizza
Through The Purple Haze - Spots and/or Stripes
Crafty Creations - Anything Goes #345

Off to get my groceries.  Chat with you later.

Roses

Hello.  I had hoped to send some time in the craft room today, but I didn't get as much time as I wanted.  But I am not the least bit sleepy so I could be up for a while so maybe I will play around now.

I love roses.  This is one of my favorite stamps.  I use it on a regular basis.  So you will probably see it again.

I am going to use it in the following challenges:
Freshly Made Sketches - Sketch #395
   CAS on Sunday - Flowers
   Penny's - Anything Goes #336
   MHK Designs - Flowers
Jo's Scrap Shack - Anything Goes

Deepest Sympathy

Hello again,

Just a quick one.  Then I am off to water the flowers outside.

I don't make a lot of white on white cards but I need a sympathy card so I thought this would be simple and perfect for the occasion.  I really want to add gems to the centers of the flowers but I don't think that would work for this card.

I am using it in the following challenges:
Addicted to CAS - White on White
City Crafters - White & Black
Inspiration Destination - Anything Goes #131

Chat with you tomorrow.

Ladybugs

Hello.  For some unknown reason, it feels like it should be Saturday instead of Friday.  Oh well,  I am just going to have to keep correcting myself.

I decided to make a card real quick before I head out to do some errands.  I printed this cute little girl a couple of days ago and I haven't taken the time to color her.  I thought she would look really cute on the Sketch Saturday sketch.  I had already printed her out so I couldn't put her in an oval but I like the rectangle.

I cheated on the sketch.  Instead of cutting the red polka dot paper, I put two ribbons criss crossing across the paper.   I tried putting a ladybug button on the bottom of the card but with the red polka dots, it was lost on the page.  I also put some glossy accent on the ladybugs to finish off the card.

I am using it for the following challenges:
Catch The Bug - Anything Goes
   Sketch Saturday - Sketch #470
   Crafty Sentiments - Anything Goes
Crafty Gals - Anything Goes #130
   Wednesday's Inspiration - Dots and/or Stripes

Off to run some errands.  I am hoping to be back later this afternoon.

SVG Cuts Patriotic House

Hello.  I know I haven't posted in a while.  I am trying to get a little bit more organized so I will be able to post more often.

So far it has been a busy summer.  Mainly working on things around the house.

I love the houses from SVG Cuts.  I saw a patriotic one on Pinterest and I knew I just had to make it.  The one on Pinterest has three floors but two was enough for me.   I knew it would take me a while to put it together but man, this was a project.

I did the Halloween house last year and I just love it.  This one took longer than the Halloween one.  Plus I had trouble with the roof.  It was hard to get together and glued onto the house.  But I finally got it done.

I plan on leaving it out until Labor Day so I can enjoy it.

I am going to use it for the following challenges:
   Cupcake Inspirations - Patriotic
   Glitter N Sparkle - Freedom
Jo's Scrap Shack - Anything Goes
Curtain Call - Red, White & Blue
Simon Says Monday - Red, White & Blue

Off to clean off my table.  Chat with you later.
