Another Challenge

Ok, here is my last challenge for the night.  It is the free digital image challenge at From The Heart.  I love this image and will use it again.

I am also going to use the card for the Get Inky - Onward & Upward challenge.

Have a great night.

CAS

I started this card for the Digi Darla challenge and it ended before I finished.  I am going to use it for Sketch Saturday #287 and Parade Your Crafts

I know it is a simple card but I really like how it came out.  It will go in my stash of cards for next year.

One more challenge card to make for tonight.

Imagine That

I have a several challenges to work on this evening.  This is the first one.

Imagine That Digi Stamps offers a free digital stamp each month if you compete in the previous month's challenge.  This month, it was 'Birthday Sea Horse'.  It has been such a busy month that I have waited until the end to get it done.  I won't wait next month.

I decided to combine challenges and use the Catch The Bug sketch #146 on the same card.  I wasn't sure about the combination when I started but I do like the colors.

Off to make something else.  See you soon.

Glitter N Sparkle & Whimsie Doodles

It was a great day for family time.  My husband, son and I spend the afternoon watching movies together.  It was a nice wonderful.  One I will remember for a long time.

I found some time this evening to make another card.  I decided to use another Whimsie Doodle image.  This time it was the Snowman Slushie.  I put it on the Snowflake Swing Card from Silhouette Online.  I just love these swing cards.  I made the Snowman small enough to fit on the bottom of the front section.  I added glitter to the center snowflake.

I am going to enter this in the following challenges:

I hope everyone had a great day.

Sketch Saturday & Whimsie Doodles

I woke up this morning ready to play, but I had a few things to do first.  I finally made it to my craft room right after lunch.  I was looking for some thing Christmasy so this is what I came up with.

This is the Elves Watching digital by Whimsie Doodles.  It comes with the words.  I  used the sketch from Sketch Saturday.  I did flip the sketch around to make my bigger circles work.  I also added glitter to the hat.

I am also playing around with the font size.  Let me know what you think.

Have a great day.

Cut It Up Challenges

It is time for another challenge at Cut It Up Challenges.  This week's challenge is Giving Thanks.  Make a card as a thank you or make a thank you gift.  You must use a die cut of some kind.

The sponsor is $5.00 gift card from Digital Delights

I made these little gift boxes from Silhouette Online for my Thanksgiving table as a little "I am grateful for you" gift.  I put peanut butter balls inside.  When I took the picture the peanut butter balls were made so they aren't in the picture.

Make sure you go over and enter the challenge.  We will also be announcing the winner of the last challenge.

Have a great day.

More Christmas Tags

I made another set of Christmas tags.  I will probably have too many tags but they are so fun to make.  I still have a few more images I want to use so you will be seeing more of these.

These were made with the Christmas Gingerbread Girl from Silhouette Online.  I cut the bow off of some of them and made boys.

Have a great night or morning since it is now 3am.  I am going to be tired tomorrow.

Happy Thanksgiving & Christmas Tags

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone in the U.S..  I hope you had a great day with family and friends.

I had some time today so I used the tutorial on Lori Whitlock's site to make Christmas tags by welding and offsetting.  I made a snowman tag several days ago and I really wanted to make some more shapes.  This was the perfect time for it.

The shape I used for this challenge was the 5 pc layered Christmas tree.  I thought this would look good with a white background instead of a designer paper.  Then I cut the tree out of designer paper.

Have a great night.

Eureka Stamps

I had meant to get a lot done today, but I didn't.  Maybe later tonight.  I did make this card for some challenges.  I used the "Farmer Crow" from Meljen's Designs and the acorn card is from Silhouette Online.  I think it came out really good.  I just love the little crow.

Here are the challenges I am entering the card in:
   Eureka Stamps - Thanksgiving
   Chocolate Coffee Cards - Grateful
   Repeat Impressions - Thanksgiving
   QKR Stampede - Thanksgiving.

Have a great evening.  Hopefully I will be back with some thing later.

Digi Darla & Incy Wincy Designs

The challenge this week at Digi Darla's was a copy cat image.  It was a cornucopia.  I decided to combine it with the Incy Wincy Designs' Easel challenge.  It is always nice to combine challenges.  It helps me stand up to date.

I used one of the Silhouette Online Halloween easel cards.  I took off the spiders and pumpkins and just left the back ground squares.  It is a 4" square so mailing it should be standard.  I have mailed all of my Thanksgiving cards for this year so I will save it until next year.

I will probably be back later with some thing else.  In the meantime, have a great afternoon.

Bugaboo Stamps

I wasn't sleepy so I decided to stay up and play around a little bit.  I meant to finish addressing my Thanksgiving cards but I printed this Bugaboo tree out earlier today and it just kept calling my name.

I printed it to use for the Bingo challenge at Catch the Bug.  The tree is just so cute.  I can imagine my tree doing this from all the ornaments on it.  I used red and yellow gems and white brads.  The elements I needed to complete the bingo were brads, starts with "t" (Tree) and bugaboo image.

I decided to use the sketch #43 on From the Heart.  I really liked the clean and simple look of the sketch.  It worked really well with the Christmas tree.  Instead of a short ribbon, I ran my ribbon the whole length of the designer paper.

I really need to finish my Thanksgiving cards so I am off of here for a little while.  Have a great night.

Christmas Gift Tags

I am just beginning my Christmas shopping so soon I will be wrapping presents.  I thought I would make some gift tags for them.  I saw the tutorial over at Lori Whitlock and I thought I would like it.  I didn't print the tags.  I cut them instead.  I thought it would give me a more 3D look.

This is super easy to do and I will be making more of these.

I am going to use the gift tags in the following challenges:
Silhouette Online - Gift Wrap Essentials
Creative Cutting - Christmas; not a Card
   Glitter N Sparkle - Tags

Have a great night.

Meljen's Designs

Here is a CAS card for Meljen's In A Word challenge. You can't see it but there is a leaf pattern textured on the bottom of the card.

I am also planning on using this card in the Parade Your Crafts; Grateful challenge.

Have a great day.

Little Miss Muffet

I made this card to go with the gift bag.  She is just so darling.  I think it will be a great birthday card.  I used the holey circles card from Silhouette Online.  I love being able to go into my Silhouette Library and pick out a card that is simple and easy but different.

I hope you have a great night.

Yet Another Challenge

I know you probably get tired of challenges, but they motivate me to make things.  I would normally make things but challenges help me with themes and just general ideas.

One of the girls at work is turning 40 tomorrow.  She really isn't looking forward to it.  So I knew I wanted to do something for her.  When I saw the challenge at C.R.A.F.T., I knew a gift bag would be perfect and give me a project for this challenge.

I made it simple.  I just put words on it.   This is the first time, I have decorated a gift bag.  Who knows I may have to make an Alabama bag for my son when he comes home from college for Thanksgiving next week.

Have a great night.

Cute Reindeer Bag

This little reindeer is a new design over at Silhouette Online this week.  I just had to cut him out.  He is just so cute.  I am going to use it for the Silhouette Challenge - Holiday challenge

I have another challenge I want to work on so hopefully I will be back in a little while.

Repeat Impressions

I haven't played with my Repeat Impressions stamps in a while and their challenge was Snow Fun so I pulled out my stamps and played with one of the penguins.

I decided to put him on a swing card.  Yes, I am still making these cards.  They are just so quick and easy to make and they are just adorable.    I did something different this time.  I cut the card out of my base color and then I cut it out of the pattern paper I wanted to use.  Once it was cut I just cut the two edge pieces.  No more  measuring or any thing, just a perfect cut.  I will do this again.

I cut out enough pieces to make four cards, so I will be putting the finishing touches on them later tonight.

I am also entering this card in the following challenges.
   Curtain Call - CAS Christmas
   Silhouette Challenges - Holiday
Clear It Out - Anything with a a Snowflake
   Tuesday Throwdown - Snowbirds

Have a great afternoon.  Hopefully I will be back later with something else.

Craft Spot & Saturday Sketch

Here is the card for the Pinterest Inspired challenge at Craft Spot.  I wish I had more time to work on this, but with all of my computer problems, it just didn't work out that way.  I am also using it for the sketch at Saturday Sketch.

That is it for tonight.  Have a good one.

Clear It Out - Smores

The challenge at Clear It Out is Smores with a stash of brown/white.  I saw this set of Moose Smores over at Little Scraps of Heaven and I just had to cut it.  I think I will use it for the next bonfire.  The kids won't care one way or another but he will be cute.

You can see the purple glue on the card but it will dry clear.

I have one more challenge to post and then I will be finished for the night.  So I will be right back.

Stella Sketch

I really wanted to get some challenges completed tonight, but I finished some projects instead.  Oh well, that is the way things happen some times.

I did finish this turkey card.  It is a digital stamp from Meljen's Designs.  I printed and cut it with my silhouette cameo.  Then I had to color him.  I thought he would look really cute on the Stella Sketch at Catch The Bug.  I really liked the look of the sketch and how great the colors went together with the turkey.  You probably can't tell but the white circle has dots on it from my texture folder.

I am also entering this card into the following challenges:
   2 Creative Chicks - Thanksgiving
   Love to Create - Thanksgiving
   Silhouette Challenges - Holidays
   Get Inky - Thanksgiving

Off to finish the other three of these cards.  See you all later.  Have a nice night.

KaDoodle Bug - Cocoa Bear

I saw this bear on KaDoodle Bug this week as a
freebie.  I just had to have and make him.  He is just too cute.  Is is definitely a favorite in my Christmas/Winter cards.

I took off the pink swirl on the card and added a snowflake.  I also made the straw out of a real straw.  Once he was all put together, I put him on an easel card.  I adore him.  Too cute.

I am going to use him in the Crafty Catz, anything but square challenge.

Western Cards

I can't believe I only have 14 post for the month of November so far.  I am going to have to get busy.  I should have a couple of cards to post tomorrow.

My niece loves horses and so does a very dear friend so when this card showed up at Silhouette Online, I just knew I had to make it.  The wagon wheel didn't make the cut.  The paper kept getting eaten, so I will have to look for something else.

But it is bed time (past time) and I wanted to get the card posted.

I am going to enter it into the following challenges:

Catch The Bug - Round Up
QKR Stampede - Western

I hope you are having a great weekend.  I am working all weekend but hopefully I will get some stamping time.

Meljen's Design

The challenge this week at Meljen's Designs is Friends Forever

My computer died this weekend and I had to have a new one.  My husband never said anything, he just went online and ordered me a new one.  It came in today.  It will take me all weekend to get it set up, but I do like it even with Windows 8 on it.

I thought I would make a small token as a thank you to give to him.  And since he is my best friend, I thought I could use it for the Friends Forever challenge.  I used the Teddy Cookie stamp.  My husband's favorite candy bar is the Cookies ' N Creme bars so I dropped a few of them in the pillow box.

I also used my polka dot texture folder on the pillow box.  Then I added a plaid ribbon.

Have a nice night.

Denami Design & Curtain Call

I am not 100% happy with the card.  I may have to make some changes to it, but that is nothing new.  I am always changing things on my cards when I make several.  I was going to do a Christmas wreath but decided at the last minute to make a fall one.

I am going to use the card for the Curtain Call Welcome Home challenge.

Well I am off to bed.  Have a great night.

Silhouette Online

As you have probably noticed if you read my blog regularly, I love the 3D projects on Silhouette Online.  I knew when I saw the 3D acorn that it would go really well with all of the fall decorations on my mantle.  I just had to cut it.

I wasn't completely happy with it, but it did find a home on my coffee table instead of the mantle.  To me, the bottom of the acorn is too tall.  It needs to be shorter and rounder.  When I asked my husband, what is was, he didn't know.

Have a nice evening.

Bugaboo Stamps

When I saw this little elf, I knew he would be perfect for the rocking cards.   It is still one of my favorite cards.  There is just so much you can do and they are so easy to put together.

The blue and white paper is one of my favorites.  I just love this paper.  I try to keep some in stock so I will always have it to use.  It is by Pebbles and called Baby of Mine.  It comes in pink and blue.  I usually have both.

I am going to use the little elf on the Digi Darla's Photo #87 challenge and the Chocolate Coffee Cards' Monocromatic challenge.

Have a nice evening.

Denami Designs

I pulled out my Denami Designs' stamps today and started playing around with them.  I had the Sunday Sketch and Stamp Sketch #181 for this card.  The cornucopia is a little small but I think it looks good on all of the other layers.

I might at a small Happy Thanksgiving to the green pennant.  I haven't decided yet.  I like the little buttons.  I am almost out of them.  I guess I need to add them to my craft shopping list.

This card will also be used in the QKR Stampede's Anything Goes Harvest Challenge.

I am planning on using my Denami stamps again between now and Thanksgiving.

Have a nice evening.

Thankful Leaves

As promised, here is another project for you.  It is the Thankful card from Silhouette Online.  I made it two different ways.  I couldn't decide which way I liked best.  I have trouble getting script words to cut on my cameo but I thought these came out pretty good.

I will be entering it in the following challenges:
Incy Wincy - Ribbon, Twine or Fibre
   Eureka - Fall Leaves
   Cardz TV - Thankful
   Creative Cutting - Thanksgiving

I hope you have a great weekend.

Silhouette Online

Yesterday while talking on the phone with my sister, I decided I would make some quick and easy.  So I opened Silhouette Design Studio (actually it was already opened) to see what I had that I could cut quickly and then put together with little or no fuss.

This reindeer box was what I came up with.  I left it the original size and I cut two of them.  I thought they would be perfect for stockings.  Next time, I will shrink it down just a little.  But they came out great.  Fast to cut and easy to put together.  I want to make a few more with different things on them.

I am going to enter him in the C.R.A.F.T. - Christmas challenge.

I have another challenge entry to post so I will be back in a little while.  Have fun until then.

Silhouette Weekly Shape Challenge

The challenge this week at Silhouette Online was pillow boxes.  I used to love to make pillow boxes.  I can remember cutting them out by hand.  It seemed to take forever, especially since I never made just one.

So it was fun going back to an old favorite, especially since it is easier to make them now.  I just tell my cameo to cut and in a few minutes I have one ready to be glued together.

My originally thought was to make some Christmas ones, but I have a several migraines this week.  I really didn't feel like making any thing to complicated.

I shrunk the pillow box down so I could get two boxes on a 8 1/2 X 11 sheet of paper. Then I had some turkeys on my craft table that I had cut for the bulletin board at work, so I decided to use one of them.  I used a texture folder to put some swirls on the box and then tied a ribbon on the box and added the turkey.

My son is coming home from college tomorrow for the weekend and I think I will fill it with candy and put it on his bed as a small surprise.  It will be an early Thanksgiving treat.

Have a nice night.

Meljen

I am stuck on the pull tab card from Silhouette right now.  It is just so cute and easy to put together.  I used Frankie Face from Meljen's Designs tonight.  I am going to use it in the last Halloween challenge at Meljen's.

I forgot the ribbon on the pull tab.  I will add it tomorrow.

Have a great night.

Little Miss Muffet

This was a free digital one week right before Halloween and I really wanted to use him on a Halloween card, but I ran out of time.  So when Little Miss Muffet decided to run one more Halloween challenge, I knew I would use this bat.

I am also going to use it for the sketch on Sketch Saturday.

I hope you enjoy it and have a nice afternoon.

Turkey Time

As you know I love shaped cards, I purchased this turkey right after I bought my Silhouette so now that it is almost Thanksgiving, I just had to cut him.

I made two different sizes.  I thought the first two were a little big so I shrunk him down and made to more.  He is so fun.  I am going to cut some to put on the bulletin board at work.

I am using this in the following challenges:
Catch The Bug - November Anything Goes
   Creative Cutting - Thanksgiving

Also since he is Thanksgiving related.  I want to encourage every one to go over to Cut It Up Challenges and enter the Thanksgiving Challenge.  It runs until November 13th.  It is sponsored this month by Norma Pimentel (Stampin'Up Demonstrator) and As Cute as a Button.

I will be back later with another project I am sure.

Meljen's Designs

I started this card thinking I would enter it into the Incy Wincy Red & White challenge, but it ended before I finished, so I looked around and decided to use the  From The Heart sketch.  It is a fairly simple sketch and I really liked it.  I had the card completed and took a picture before I realized that I hadn't added the ribbon, so I had to retake the picture.

I am also using this card for the paper piercing challenge at Crafty Catz.

Have a nice evening.

Catch The Bug

When I saw the photo challenge over at Catch The Bug, I immediately thought of all of the 3D vegetables and fruits I have.  I quickly cut a few of them to use for this challenge.  I just love how they come out.  I cut the strawberry, carrot and apple.  I need to look for more to add to my collection.  :)

Have a great night.  I will see you tomorrow after work.

Cut It Up

It is time for another challenge at Cut It Up.  This week's challenge is Thanksgiving.  It is sponsored by Norma Pimentai (Stampin' Up Demonstrator).  With Thanksgiving right around the corner, this should be an easy one.   Please make sure to join us.

Also stop by and see what all of the design team has come up with.

Have a great day.
