Meljens Design - Pretty In Pink

I haven't been over on Meljen's Design's website in a while and I am so glad I went over.  I have several of her digital stamps.  If you haven't been over there, check it out.  The bears are just so cute.

The challenge is "Pretty In Pink".  I have been working on my 4th of July cards as you know and it was nice to make some thing in a different color.  I decided the "Soda for Two" would be perfect in pink.

I hope everyone has a great evening.  If you are getting rain like me, please stay dry.

Patriotic Rocking Card

I really wanted to participate in the challenge over at Cameo Creation, so I decided to make one more rocking card.  Instead of using the scallop, I went with a different one.  I also used the scalloped circle from Silhouette Online.

I hope you enjoy the card.

Repeat Impressions - DCC619

I missed the What If? Challenge on Repeat Impressions this week, so I really wanted to make sure to get the DCC619 Summer challenge completed.  The Rocking card by Lori Whitlock was perfect for this.  I thought the Repeat Impressions Daffodils were perfect.  I cut out an couple of extra ones and 3D the flowers.

Riley & Company - Riley1313

I love my Riley stamps.  The little moose is so cute.  I ordered a few new ones a couple of weeks ago.  They have been sitting on my craft table ever since.  I thought I would play with them a little bit.

The first one just had to be my patriotic Riley since I am still working on 4th of July cards.  I cut the card with my silhouette cameo.  The rocking cards (there are three different styles)  from Lori Whitlock worked great for this card and it made putting them together easy.

I am going to use the card in the Riley1313 challenge that started today.  You have two weeks to enter.

I hope you have a great evening.

Big Eyes

I have got so many things I want to make.  I will never catch up.  I saw this little turtle over on pinterest and I just had to make him for my son's friend who loves turtles.

It is a really simple card, but I do like how it came out.  I used one of my texture folders for the background and the saying stamp is by Rubber Stampede.

The coloring doesn't look quite right but it will just have to do.  I cut the turtle using the print and cut feature on my silhouette.  It is so nice not to have to cut every thing out any more.  At least on my digital stamps.

I am not sure where the turtle came from so if any one seeing this knows, please let me know.

Silhouette 201 - Beach Step Card

I calling this more advance just because it is a lot of work and time.  I have been wanting to make one of these for a while.  I finally took the time.  It has taken me most of the day to figure out what I want where.

All of the pieces came from Silhouette Online.  The back step (the palm tree) is done using the Beach Scene and so are the two small shell on the front step.  The sandcastle is from the Beach Set.  The sand pail is from Fun at the Beach by Miss Kate Cuttables.  Lastly, the lighthouse is the lighthouse from Silhouette also.  I think that is it.

I want to make a few of these for friends, so I probably won't have anything else today.

Oh, I forgot.  I am using this for two challenges.  First, the Silhouette Weekly Shape Challenge.  And then I found another challenge using the Silhouette and it had a summer theme also.  It was Cameo Creation Challenge

Have a great weekend.

Whimsie Doodle - 4th of July Girl

I finally finished my Whimsie Doodle girl.  I can't believe I started this on Monday and I am just finishing it.

I originally saw this card on Splitcoaststampers.  I just had to make some to send out.  Thanks so much Kelly for the idea.  It was fun to put together.

I was just over on Whimsical Designs and they are having a patriotic challenge so I think I will enter this card in the challenge.

Have a great weekend.

I am so excited

I am so excited.  I just checked the Silhouette Online blog and I won this week's challenge.  It is the perfect start to the weekend.

I love the 4th of July, so I really enjoyed making my banner.

Have a great weekend.

Silhouette 101 - 4th of July Fireworks

I still haven't completed my 4th of July girl card but hopefully I will get a chance to finish it later tonight or tomorrow.  My sister and I spent the day skyping.  I made my fireplace banner and she worked on a couple of cards.  Right before we got off, I started this card.

I saw a similiar one on Julie's Krafty Korner.  I like it so much that I had to put one together for July 4th.

I have always been a huge supporter of our US military.  I love making red, white and blue cards.  So I am really enjoying working on my 4th of July cards.  Something tells me that I will be sending out as many of them as I do Christmas.

I hope you enjoy today's cards.

Silhouette Weekly Shape Challenge

It is time to make a card for the Silhouette Weekly Shape Challenge.  I really enjoy this challenge.  If you have a cutting machine, you should go check it out.

This week we had to use the Banner, Tags and Background set.  I really liked this set and will be using it alot.

I used the little pointed tag at the bottom.  I duplicated it and then flipped it over and took out the circle.  Then I cut a bunch in different patriotic patterns.

I also cut out some small stars and the 3d Star from Silhouette.  The 3D star was my center piece and the banners made an adorable swag for my fireplace.

Patriotic Box - Revisited

I told you I would post a picture with the candy sitting around the plate.  So here it is.

Next I am posting my Silhouette Weekly Shape Challenge.  See you in a few minutes.

Whimsie Doodle - USA Lizzie

While I was working on my Canada Girl, I also came up with two USA cards.  4th of July is right around the corner and I want to make a few cards for friends and family.

One of my goals for the summer is to organize some of my digital folders.  I love my Whimsie Doodle images.  They are all so cute and fun to play with.  You will be seeing lots of them over the next few weeks.

The first USA card was USA Lizzie by Whimsie Doodle.   I just think she is perfect to show some good ole red, white and blue.  I also used the Star Ribbon from Silhouette.  The little white stars are textured with one of my embossing folders.

I hope you like my card.

Whimsie Doodle - Canada Day Girl

I have a friend who lives in Canada.  She loves getting my cards so I just had to make this card for her.  When I started it, I wasn't even thinking about Canada Day.  But it will be perfect.  She will be so surprised when she gets it.

The Canada card and leaves are by Silhouette and the little girl holding hands with the beaver are from Whimsie Doodle.  I used one of my texture folders for the leaves.  There is glitter on the leaf on the little girl's shirt and a red gem on the sparkle.

I just love how it came out.  I am working on a US version for the 4th of July.

I hope everyone is having a great week.

Whimsie Doodle - Turtle with Birthday Balloons

I made this card several weeks ago for one of my son's friends.  I printed out some extras and I finally sat down tonight and finished them.  The turtle is from Whimsie Doodles.  I just love their digital stamps.  I will be playing with a few more next week.

Father's Day Card #2

Actually I guess this is card #3.  I really liked this pattern from Silhouette.  I have a similar one with Mom that I had meant to make for Mother's Day but I ran out of time.

My father-in-law's card was blue and didn't have the tools on it.  I just ran out of time, so his was very basic.  I didn't even take a picture of it before I mailed it.  Sorry about that.

I may be wrong but I think my son will probably pick this card as the one he gives to his Dad so I added the tools on it since my husband is an electrican.  The stamp is by Stamps N More.  I have had it for several years so I don't know if it is still for sale or not.

I hope all the Dads out there have a wonderful Father's Day.

Father's Day Card #1

This is the first Father's Day card, I made.  I used red because that is my husband's favorite color.  The pattern came from Bird's Cards.  It was an easy card to put together.  The little background pattern even cut really good.  Only one spot was messed up.

This is just one of the cards.  My dad is getting the card I made for the Silhouette challenge and my father-in-law is getting another Silhouette pattern.  I will post it next.  Since I made an additional one of each card, my son can pick the one he wants to give to his Dad.

I have a great evening.

Silhouette Weekly Shape Challenge

I am ahead of the challenge this week.  I usually don't get around to working on this until Thursday, but I had to get my Father's Day cards in the mail so I did this earlier.

I used the free shape of the week instead of fonts. I thought it was perfect since Father's Day was this weekend.

I hope it is acceptable.  I shrunk the toolbox down and layered it on a 5 X 5 card with Silhouette's DIY Tools as the background.  I wish I had used something besides read as the bottom layer.

Silhouette Weekly Shape Challenge

I took a few minutes tonight (really it was several hours) to make a card for the Silhouette Weekly Shape Challenge.  It took forever because I couldn't figure out what to do.  But it is finally done.

Have a great evening.

Silhouette 101 - Patriotic Box

I saw this box/basket over on Lori Whitlock's site and I just had to make a couple.  I am going to make three of them and then display them on my message counter with some candy or something.  I will post a picture of the finished project.  It will probably be tomorrow before I get back to the grocery store to buy the candy.

The box is from the Flower Pot with Tray.  I didn't resize it or anything.  I added the stars and then just backed the pot with white paper.  The stars are the spiral flowers by Lori Whitlock.  This is the link for the star and this is the round one.  I sized both of these down to right under 2".  I then taped them onto a popsicle stick.

I will try to post the finished project later in the week.

Have a great day.

Silhouette 101 - 3D Turtle

As I have mentioned before, one of my son's best friends loves turtles.  Her birthday is this week so I just had to make this turtle for her.  I will be filling it with candy for her.

Have a great day.
