Meljen's Designs

Hello.  One last card. As I have mentioned before, I am a big support of Breast Cancer Awareness.  I always try to do a couple of projects for the month of October.

Today, I decided to work with one of Meljen's Designs' ribbon images.  She has a couple that I like.  The one I picked was the Pink Ribbon Teddy.  I also decided to work with the Sugar Pea sketch challenge.  I really liked how the card came out.

I am using it in the following challenges:
   Sugar Pea - Sketch
Digital Delights - Cute & Cuddly
Wags N Whiskers - Furry Friends
   Treasured Times - Anything Goes

After this, I am off to bed.  Going into work early tomorrow.

Craftin Desert Divas

Hello again.  I spent some time this afternoon going through the Craftin Desert Divas/Kadoodle Bug Designs/Too Cute by Jessica facebook hop.  Some great ideas.  It made me want to play with the new set of Craftin' Desert Divas' stamps that I got in the mail this week.

I am completely happy with this but I was running out of time.  I like the tree but don't like the tree.  I may have to start over.  I wanted the card to focus on the leaves and not the pumpkin.  I think every card I have made lately has been pumpkins and orange.

I am using this in the following challenges:
   Craftin' Desert Divas - Fall
   Die Cuttin Divas - Fall
Cuttlebug Mania - Anything Die Cut
   Wednesday Inspiration - Autumn Colors
Cute Card Thursday - Dies & Punches (Tree & Leaves)
My Mum's Craft Shop - Dies or Punches
Brown Sugar Challenges - Anything Goes

Have a great afternoon.

Meljen

Hello and farewell to the end of September.  I can't believe Wednesday is the first of October.  I have already started my fall cards, but I guess I need to start Hallween.

So I started this morning, by pulling out some already printed images.  The stack is getting smaller, thankfully.  I had this little Frankie from Meljen and I thought he would be a good card to start Halloween.

I colored him with my copics and then started looking for paper.  I found the spider paper in my digital paper folder (I am trying to use it more).  It is by Lori Whitlock.  I thought the spider over his head would work. The black and green polka dot paper was actually white and black and I colored the dots green.

I didn't have a lot of room for a sentiment so I thought I would cut something.  I thought about using another color to make it stand out, but decided to just stick with green.

I am using this in the following challenges:
   Sketch N Stash - Sketch
   Marker Pop - Green
Crafting From The Heart - Anything Goes
   Paper Take Weekly - Cute
Through The Craft Room Door - Anything Goes
   Crafty Girls - Anything Goes
   Crafty Hazelnut's - Anything Goes

Have a great morning.

Miss Kate

Hello.  This is Sarah here.  I was given a huge honor last week.  I was picked to be a guest designer on Miss Kate Cuttables.  I am still shocked.  I love Miss Kate Cuttables files.  She has such a great selection.

I picked the I Love Autumn file.  Since I have a Silhouette Cameo, I had to convert the file to a studio file.  Then I enlarged the whole group so that the biggest background piece was 4 1/2 X 5.  I wanted to make a card that was close to A2.  After that, I duplicated the largest background piece, flipped one piece horizontal and then welded the pieces together.   All that was left was to cut the pieces and put the card together.

I love fall and how easy this card was to put together.  Please take a moment and go over to Miss Kate Cuttables, there are some great cutting files available.

Edward Elephant

Hello and happy HUMP day.  I work at our local school (K-12) so we see all of the kids.  One of the ladies loves asking what day it is on Wednesday.  The Elementary students will yell back.  IT'S HUMP DAY!  Regardless how many times you hear it, it still makes you smile.

Still everyone in the family is huge University of Alabama fans, I am always looking for elephants.  I had forgotten, I purchased this fall elephant from Bugaboo.  Once I saw him, in the folder, I just had to make a couple of cards.  I am sure my Mother-In-Law will love it.

I am using it in the following challenges:
Alphabet Challenges - P is for Pretty Petals (Sunflowers)
   Repeat Impressions - Fall
Simon Says Wednesday - Anything Goes
2 Cute Ink Challenges - Fall
613 Ave Create - Anything Goes
   Digi Sketch Challenge - Sketch

My husband is working late, so I am sure I will be back later with another project.  Have a great afternoon.

Bugaboo

Hello.  It is only Tuesday and it has been a long week.  Hopefully, I will wake up in the morning to a better day.  I am still organizing folders.  I hit my Bugaboo folder on Sunday and I found 3 fall images that I am just going to have to use.

One of them is this image.  It is called Jar Autumn.  A really simple image but so  perfect for Fall.  I used my copic markers to color it.  Then used digital paper by Happy Hearts Studio.

I am going to use it in the following challenges:
Little Miss Muffet - Anything Goes
Cute Card Thursday - Awesome Autumn
   Digital Delights - Fall Colors
Word Art Wednesday - Anything Goes
Creative Corner - Favorite Colors (Love Fall Colors)
Scribbles & Scraps - Anything Goes
   Sketch Saturday - Sketch #328

Have a great evening.

From The Heart

Hello.  It is the weekend and I decided to stay up a little later and work in my craft room.  The weather has cooled off here in Michigan and it has really put me in the fall mood.

I am slowing pulling out my fall papers and stamps.  Tonight, I decided to work in my digital stamp folder.  I like to make a list of my stamps for the different season so I will know what I want to play with.  I have quite a few Fall one, but then I think Fall is my favorite season.

I decided to play with From The Heart's Sunflower and Pumpkin.  I also used some digital paper from Happy Hearts Studio.  Originally, I left the bottom panel plain but it needed something so I used my swiss dots embossing folder.

I am going to use it for the following challenges:
Glitter N Sparkle - Use a punch.  (border across top of image)
Pile It On - Flowers and/or Feathers
From The Heart - Sketch #79
   Artistic Inspiration - Anything Goes
Clear It Out - Polka Dots
Craft Your Passion - Harvest Time
Crafting From The Heart - Anything Goes
   Crafty Sentiments - Autumn Colors

Thanks so much for looking and I hope you have a great weekend.

Cut It Up

Hello.  I am so late.  This was suppose to post this morning and I never did save it.  It has been open on my computer since last night.  I am so sorry.

It is time for another challenge at Cut It Up.  It is a theme that is near and dear to my heart.   Breast Cancer Awareness - It must have a 3D element. The sponsor, this time, is Cute As A Button.  You will be winning a $20 Gift card.

I started with the candy bar holder on Silhouette Online.  There are several with different edges.  Then I cut out the cute little owl from KaDoodle Designs.  I love owls and I just had to try this one.  I enlarged the small ribbon and put it on the other side and then wrapped some twine around the opening.

I am planning on making these for everyone at work.  It may take me forever to get them all cut and put together.  But it will be fun.

I hope to see every one over at Cut It Up.  I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with.

Have a great night.

Imagine That

Hello and Happy Thursday.  I wanted to take a moment this morning to post a card using Imagine That by Kris stamps and paper.

I decided to do another diorama.  Humphrey looks so cute peeking out of the opening.  I also used some of Kris' digital paper.  The sunflower paper printed so good.  I even printed it on printer paper (I didn't want to make the card any thicker).  It didn't bleed or anything.  If you have never looked through Kris' papers take a few minutes and look.  She has a great selection.

I am posting this a day early so make sure to go over to Imagine That by Kris' blog tomorrow for some more great project ideas. Also don't forget you still have time to enter the progressive challenge.

Time to head to work.  Have a great day.

A Quick One

Hello.  Just a quick post and then I am off to bed.

I bought this step card a couple of weeks ago and tonight while do a few things on my desk, I decided to cut it.  I figured it would take a little while to cut the delicate yellow panel.  After I finished the paperwork, I put the card together.  It needs some gems on the butterfly's body, but I am out of clear gems.  I guess a trip to hobby lobby is in my future.

I am going to use the card for the following challenges:
   City Crafters - Butterflies
Fab N Funky - Cute with Buttons
PaperTake Weekly - Repeat a pattern (Buttons)
Wags N Whiskers - For The Girls (Butterflies are girly)
   Cupcake Inspiration - Color Inspired
Ave 613 Create - Anything Goes

Have a good night.  Chat with you tomorrow after work.

Fall Wheelbarrow

Hello.  I was looking around on SVG Cutting Files the other day and found this cute little wheelbarrow.  I bought it thinking it would be great for the SVG Cutting Files challenge

This evening, I sat down and made it.  The only thing I did differently from the pattern was I cut two of the leg section.  I was afraid one would not be strong enough to hold it up.  I also added my apple ribbon around the top.

Inside the wheelbarrow, I have Hershey Kisses.  I didn't have any fall circles so I took my Easter set and erased the center.  Then I found a print and cut set with apples and leaves and added them to the circles.  Printed and then cut them and I had cute little bottoms for my kisses.

I am going to use it in the following challenges:
   SVG Cutting Files - Fall
Craft Your Passion - Going Around in Circles (The kiss bottoms)
Mark's Finest Papers - Country Fair (Apples)
   Crafting Station - Anything Goes
   Milk Coffee Challenge - Fall
   Silhouette Challenges - 3D Fall

Have a great night.

Pumpkin PigWit

Hello again.  I am still using up some of the images that I have printed and not used.  I really need to stop printing them if I don't have a project in mind.   But I like to print a full page so I am always adding images to the page.

This is Pumpkin Pigwit from From The Heart.  It is so cute and different.   I followed one of the tutorials from their blog hop.  I haven't made a diorama card in a while so it was fun to put together.  I cut the opening with one of my spellbinder dies.  Then I cut the small pumpkin with my silhouette.

I am going to use this card in the following challenges:
Die Cutting Divas - Photo Inspired
Clear It Out - Fancy Folds
   Wednesday's Inspiration - Anything Goes
Sweet N Sassy - Fall Theme
   Treasured Times - Anything Goes
   Creative Cutting - Anything Goes

This is probably it for tonight, so I hope everyone has great night.

Ladybug Bear

Hello on this nice Fall day.  Even though, Fall doesn't start until the end of the month, we are having a nice Fall day today.  It puts me in the mood for apple cider and candy corn.

It is also putting me in the mood to work on some Fall cards, so I have a feeling my summer projects are going to get put away whether they are done or not.

I made this ladybug bear a couple of weeks ago.  He has been sitting on my desk all of that time, waiting on me to make a card.   He takes up most of the card so I didn't want to make the card to busy.  I decided to use the sketch from Peachy Keen.  You can't see all of the layers but they are there.

I am going to use this card in the following challenges:
   Peachy Keen - Sketch
   Artistic Inspirations - Anything Goes
Crafty Girls - Anything Goes #26
Creative Fingers - Anything Goes and/or Flowers

I hope to be back later with something else.  Have a good one.

Outside the box

Hello.  I have one quick one for you and then I am heading to bed.  I am going to read until I fall asleep.  I am reading the Mortal Instrument series and I can't put the books (tablet) down.

I wanted to make something with the new Meljen's Design image.  It is the cutest little teacher mouse.  For some unknown reason, I am still making back to school cards.  There has been so many cute stamps this year.

I went outside the box, I made the main color teal.  That is not a color I use a lot but I didn't want to use red or pink.  So teal it was. I followed the sketch on Sketch N Stash.  Most of their sample cards were square but I used the standard A2 size.

I am going to use it in the following challenges:
   Glitter N Sparkle - Use A Digi
Cupcake Inspiration - Apples for the Teacher
   Sketch N Stash - Sketch #42
   Pile It On - Pencils
   Marker Pop - Anything Goes
   Cute Card Thursday - Cute
Sugar Pea - Monthly Challenge - Anything Goes

I have a great evening and I will be back tomorrow.

Miss Kate Cuttables

Hello.  I hope every one is ready for the weekend.  It has been a good week at work but I am looking forward to the weekend.  I am only working Sunday this week, so Saturday I hope to most of the day in my craft room.

When Miss Kate came out with this new fall owl, I just had to have it.  I sat down today and made him.  He comes sitting on some pumpkins but I thought he would look good on the card by himself.
I didn't put a sentiment on the front I wanted to highlight the owl.  I also embossed the last panel.

I used a sketch from Imagine That.  Did you know that Imagine That had sketches?  You can find them in the shop under Gallery tab.  I used #23 for this card.  Instead of a bow on my ribbon, I added some of my perler beads as accents.

I am going to use this card in the following challenges:
Crafting When You Can - Borrow A Sketch
Paper Players - Happy Fall Yall
Sweet Stampin - The Great Outdoors (Owls are outdoors)
Crafting From The Heart - Anything Goes
   Cuttlebug Mania - Anything Embossed
Craftin Desert Divas - Anything Goes

I hope you have a great evening.

From The Heart

Hello Again.  As I have said before, I just love the little chickies from Denami Designs.  The birdbrains from From The Heart remind me of them.  So today, I decided to play with the newest birdbrain image.  It will make some great birthday cards.

My first cut was of the image in a bracket Then I used my trace feature and cut out a few more birds.  I decided to use the sketch from From The Heart.    Using the sketch made the rest of the card easy to put together.

I am using this card in the following challenges:
From The Heart - Sketch #77
From The Heart - Monthly Progressive
   Repeat Impressions - Celebrate Birthday
Word Art Wednesday - Anything Goes
   Creative Corner - Cutesy Animals
2 Cute Ink Challenges - Anything Goes

Have a great evening.

Quick and Easy

Hello.  I hope every one is enjoying this last day of the weekend.  I didn't do a lot yesterday and today I am messing around in my craft room.

The weekend challange over at Meljen's facebook page is a cute little spider.  I decided to add a little witch to it.  I went looking over at Meljen's shop.  She has every thing 50% off right now.  She had three little witches.  I couldn't decide which one I wanted to use.  I ended up buying two of them (I already had one).  I wish I had resized the spider but he looks ok the way he is. I kept the card simple.  Not a lot of layers.

I am going to use the card in the following challenges:
Love To Create - Photo Inspired
   Meljen's Mini Weekend Challange
Great Impressions - Get Your Spook On
   Artistic Inspiration - Anything Goes
Paper Makeup Stamps - Anything Digital Goes
Ave 613 Create - Anything Goes
CASology - Under (I put my sentiment under the image)

I hope you have a great afternoon.

Cut It Up

Good Morning.  It is time for another Cut It Up challenge.  It is International Day of Peace.  Use the colors of a country you have or would like to visit.

I used red, white and blue from the good ole USA.  There are several countries I want to visit, but there are a lot of place in the US that I want to see also.  Grand Canyon, Disney World, Washington DC, the list could go on and on.  So that is why I decided to use the USA.

The sponsor is Kadoodle Bug Designs.  This bear is from Kadoodle Bug.  If you haven't be over to Kadoodle Bug's site.  Check it out, I am sure you will find some thing you like.  There are some great cutting files.

I didn't resize this bear, I decided to use it as a refrigerator magnet. It was so easy to put together.

I look forward to seeing you over at Cut It Up.  Have a great day.

Play Time

Hello.  Finally spending some time in my craft room.

I printed out this little mouse from Meljen's and I wanted to use him on something.  I decided to use the sketch from Your Next Stamp.  I used some fall paper to add some color to the card.  Then I cut out one of the acorn to add the 3d effect.

I am going to use it in the following challenges:
   Your Next Stamp - Sketch
   Fan-Tastic Tuesday - Anything Goes
   Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes
   Penny's Challenges - Anything Goes

I don't know if I will be back tonight.  Have a good one.

Back To School

Hello.  Happy happy Thursday.  School/work started back this week and it has been crazy.  When I get home I just want to relax.  But normal every day things have gotten in the way.  Hopefully I will be back on track next week.

In the meantime, here is the bouquet of tootsie roll pops that I took to school on the first day.  Every one loved them.  It was something different and we were able to use it as a decoration for a few days.

I am going to use it in the following challenges:
Wags N Whiskers - Back to School
Craft on Your Passion - Back To School
Clear It Out - Anything Goes
   Crafty Sentiments - Anything Goes
Wednesday Inspirational - Back To School
Milk Coffee Challenge - Back To School
Sweet 7 Challenges - Back To School

I will see you again tonight hopefully, but if not, have a great night.

Imagine That Lighthouse

Hello.  I hope everyone is having a great day.  As I mentioned earlier in the month, I was selected to be a Guest Designer for Imagine That.  I am still shocked that I get to make cards for such a great lady.  Kris has been amazing to work with.  I am going to have so much fun over the next two months.

Today, I decided to use Imagine That's Lighthouse set.  I printed it out and left in on my table for a couple of days.  When I finally sat down to make some thing, my mind was blank.  I colored the image just knowing I would think of some thing.  In the end, I went with a simple layout.  I don't like plain backgrounds so I pulled out a sizzix texture folder.  I also added a little seagull flying over the top of the lighthouse.

I also used one of the sentiments in the inside of the card.  As you will notice, I cut a small strip of the paper from the front of the card and added it down the side.  I don't carry my theme into the card often, but I really like it.  I need to do this more often.

I hope you enjoy the card and please go over to Imagine That and check out all of Kris' great set and her digital paper.  You won't be disappointed.  She also has a monthly progressive challenge.

Have a great day.

Meljen's Designs

Hello.  I hope everyone is doing well.  Yesterday was the first day back at school/work.  It was a good day but still crazy.  I came home ready to play but I just didn't feel like it.  Today I had some things to do but I am finally in my craft room.

I decided to start by combining some challenges and I went to one of my favorite folders.  Meljen's Designs.  Melissa just has some great images.  I haven't been ready to go into fall, but I am getting there.  It was the first thing I looked at today. This is one of my oldest images by Meljen's.  I think her little mouse is so cute.  She has put him in some great scenes.

I am using this card in the following challenges:
   Crafty Creations - Something Old
   Delightful Challenges - Layers
   Meljen's Designs - Sketch
Scribbles & Scraps - Anything Goes
613 Ave Create - Anything Goes
Crafting From The Heart - Anything Goes

Have a great evening.
