Newton's Nook - Similar but Different

Hello again.  Did you miss me?

Here is the cute little kitten I have been working on.  I don't mask often so it takes me a while to put together a card.  I want to practice over the next few months, so that I can get better and quicker at it.

I saw this card over on Pinterest and I just had to use it.  This is one of my favorite Newton's Nook sets.  But then I just love all of the Newton sets.

I am using it for the following challenges:
613 Ave Create - Anything Goes
   Cat's Pajamas - Tea/Coffee
   Crafty Sentiments - Anything Goes
Simon Says Wednesday - Anything Goes

Off to straighten the kitchen once again.  It is an endless job.  Chat with you later.  Have a great evening.

Easter Chickies

Hello and Happy Good Friday.  Spring break starts today and I am off for 10 whole days.  I am so looking forward to sleep in and just relaxing.  Ok, I have some projects to work on but I am going to relax too.

I am still working on Easter projects.  There are just so many cute ones on my list.  I am going to work on them and just save them til next year.

The Denami Easter stamps were still sitting on my desk so I decided to make one more card.  I used all pastel Eastery colors.  I just love the combo.  To finish it off, I added glitter on all of the chickies.

I am using it in the following challenges:
   Addicted to CAS - Birds
Pile It On - Circles and/or Squares
Double D - Just Wing It
   Crafty Sentiments - Anything Goes
   Die Cuttin Divas - Easter

Off to finish up a cute little kitten card.  See you soon.  Have a great evening.

Denami

Hello again.  Well this will be my last one for the day.

It is another Easter one.  It is using Denami Design stamps.  I adore their chick.  I added gemstones and glitter and then the ribbon has glitter shine down the edge also.

I am using it in the following challenges:
   Aud Sentiments - Bingo
   Paper Shelter - Easter
   Cute Card Thursday - Easter
Paper Craft Challenges - Anything Goes

Off to relax a little before better.  Chat with you tomorrow afternoon.  Have a great evening.

Stampendous Easter Chickies

Hello again.  I keep getting pulled away.  I have gotten the kitchen straighten.  Sort of.  I got it all cleaned and then I cooked dinner so I need to pick up from dinner.  I have washed some clothes (they need folding) and straighten the living room.

Here is a quick card for you.  I am still working on Easter even though I probably won't use the cards this year.  I will be ahead of the game next year.  I have another dozen cards I want to make.   We will see how many I get done this week.

This cutie is by Stampendous.  I have had it a few years and I decided it was time to use it again.  I just love all of these colors.  It is just so Springy.  I am going to change to color of the sentiment on the rest of these.  I don't think the yellow is dark enough.

I am going to add some winks of Stella to make the chicks shimmer.

I am going to use it for the following challenges:
   AudSentiment - Bingo
   Paper Shelter - Easter
   Cute Card Thursday - Easter
Gem of a Challenge - Easter
   Dream Valley - Spring Colors
   Newton Nooks - Color Inspirations

Off to finish these up and then fold some clothes.  Chat with you later.  Have a great evening.

Stampin Up

Hello and how are all of you doing?  I am going to play around some today in between straightening and cleaning.  Hopefully you will see a couple more post today.

I do not use purple.  It is my least favorite color.  I don't know why, it just is.  Last weekend, I went to a Stampin Up card making class.  This was one of the  cards we made.  I liked the card and stamp so much that I borrowed the set from a friend and made more cards.

I even got an order together and I am getting the set as my Sale-a-bration set.  So even though, I don't use purple a lot, you will be seeing it again with the stamp set.

It looks like the lavender flower is colored with markers but it isn't.  It is a stamp.  I have picked up several of Stampin Up Two step sets.  I just love how easy they are.

I am using the cards for the following challenges:
   Die Cuttin Divas - Flowers
   Cuttlebug Mania - Springtime
Simon Says Wednesday - Floral Flenzy
   Cupcake Inspiration - Flowers
613 Ave Create - Anything Goes

Well I off to clean up the mess left over from this project and straighten the kitchen.  Then I will be back with another card.  Chat with you soon.

Easter & Lawn Fawn

Hello and Happy Friday.  I am suppose to be cleaning and straightening up the house, but I sat down at my desk and started cleaning it.

I have had a busy week and it has taken me all week to make these cute little Easter boxes.  The boxes can be found here on Silhouette Online.  I just had to add something to them, so I stamped a Lawn Fawn Hoppy Easter bunny to them.

I have a couple of sets of Lawn Fawn on my desk.  I am hoping to play with them this weekend.

Well my desk is straightened so I guess I need to move on to the living room.  Chat with you later.  Have a great afternoon.

Back Again

Hello again.  I cleaned off my desk and this card was sitting on it so I decided to go ahead and post it.

It is by Newton's Nook.  I just love Newton.  I wish I was better at color cats.  I am planning on spending some time on practicing this summer..

Paper Shelter's challenge this week is hot or cold colors.  I am definitely a cold color person.  Very seldom do I use bright bold colors.  I lean more toward pastels.

I am going to use it in the following challenges:
Jo's Scrap Shack - anything Goes
   Craft Challenge - Anything Goes
   Crafty Creations - Anything Goes
Paper Shelter - Hot or Cold Colors

Off to fold some clothes.  Chat with you soon hopefully.  Have a great evening.

Easter

Hello and Happy Monday.  Today was errand day so I still need to do a few things around the house, but before I do that I want to post a card.

I made this one a couple of weeks ago at my weekend crop and I never posted it.  I really need to get my table cleaned off.  I have cards to post and cards to finish.  Plus I have a couple of new stamp sets to play with and I even got a couple of new copics.  I have got to find some time to play.....

I have enough Easter cards made, but that isn't going to stop me from making more.  Does any one want to exchange Easter cards?  I will exchange cards with the first 5 people who contact me.  My email address is psbpreston@gmail.com.

I just love how this bunny came out.  I love shaped cards.  I wish I had made more.  Every one who sees this one want it.  Oh well, I have a few more shaped ones I want to make.

I am using it in the following challenges:
City Crafters - Is Any Bunny There?
Fab N Funky - Anything But Square
    Simon Says Wednesday - Easter
Jo's Scrap Shack - Anything Goes

Hopefully I will be back in a little while.  Chat with you later.

One More St. Patty's Day one

Hello.  How are all of you?  I cleaned house Thursday and Friday so I would have time to play today.  I went to a card class this afternoon.  I had planned on coming home and cooking dinner and then heading to my craft room.  I don't know where the day went.

I did get one card done before I left and I did make one more card tonight so I guess I did ok.  Maybe I will get more done tomorrow.

This will probably be my last St. Patty's card for the year.  I tried to keep it simple and all on one layer.  This is a digital image from Power Poppy.  Next year, I want to print it bigger and put more detail into the coloring but I was working on simple tonight.

I am going to use it in the following challenges:
   Cute Card Thursday - Celebrate
Jo's Scrap Shack - Anything Goes
Craft Challenge - Anything Goes #11
Di's Digitals - Lots of Green
   CAS-ual Friday - Going Green
Crafty Gals - Make It Green
   Verse Stamps - Green

Off to clean my table.  I will try to post the card from this morning in a little while.  Have a great night.

Bugaboo & St Patrick's

Hello.  How is everyone's week going?  It is Hump day and I am so looking forward to the weekend.

I am still trying to finish up a few St. Patrick's Day cards.  This image is one of my favorite Bugaboo images.  The little bear is so cute. I just want to hug him.

As always, I am never going to get everything made that I want to, but there is always next year.

I am using it in the following challenges:
Catch The Bug - All Creatures Big and Small
Cut It Up - Digitally Yours
Di's Digital - Use Lots of Green
   Crafty Creations - Anything Goes

Chat with you later.  Have a great evening.

St Patrick's Day

Hello.  How are you today?  Do you change your chocks for daylight savings?  It is just a USA thing?  Any way, we do.  Normally, it isn't a big deal to me, but my husband and I was up late last night watching a movie and then I lost an hour and I am dragging today.  Oh well, that is way things go some times.

At the beginning of the year, I pulled out my Top Note die from Sizzix/Stampin Up.  I loved it when it came out, but I haven't used it in a while.  I want to use it some this year.  This is the second time, I have used it already and there is just so much you can use it for.

My husband and I are not Irish, but I am a crafter and I just have to make some St. Patrick's Day things.  So I cut out some top note die cuts and made these cute nugget holders.  I went ahead and cut out some for Valentine's, Easter,  Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas, so you will see them again.

Off to put up my scrap paper.  The pile is getting pretty big.  Chat with you later.

Sunshiny

Hello and welcome sunshine.  It is cold outside but the sun is out and it makes it look like a gorgeous day.  I just need to stay inside.

A couple of weeks ago, I pulled out my Denami Stamps.  Once upon a time, I loved the little chickies (ok, I admit it, I still love them).  I have so many of them.  I really need to use them more often.  You should see  a few more over then next few weeks.  I have the Easter ones sitting here.

It is hard to see in the picture but I added some glitter to each of the chickies.  I don't cover the whole chick, just the edge.  I don't like to clover their whole faces.

There are lots of layers of green and yellow to match the plaid.  I tend to do lots of layers.  I just love all of the different colors you can add to a card with just layers.

I am using it in the following challenges:
Di's Digital Challenges - Lots of Green
Die Cuttin Divas - Use Green
   Crafty Sentiments - Anything Goes
   Creative Knockouts - Anything Goes
As You Like It - Single or Mult Layers

Well off to vacuum the house.  Chat with you a little later.  Have a great afternoon.

Weekend means play time

Hello and welcome to the weekend.  I hope to have lots of time play this weekend.  We will see.

I have been terrible about making treats for everyone at work, so I decided to put some thing together for St. Patrick's Day.  No one will be expecting it.  I have a ton of these tubes so I thought I would use some of them up.  I left it simple.  I cut different size clovers out of vinyl and stuck them all over the tubes.  Each tube has smarties in them.

I think everyone will enjoy them.  Chat with you later today.  Have a great day and weekend.

Lawn Fawn

Hello.  One more.  I have had this one on my desk for a little while.  I just didn't know what sentiment to put on it.

I decided to use one from My Craft Spot (I so miss her shop).  It just simply says.  Have A Hoot.  On the inside I put Happy Birthday.  Not what I was looking for but my mind was blank on what to put on it.

The stamp is a Lawn Fawn.  I just love their stamps with matching thin cuts.  I used my wood texture folder to make the tree.  Then I sponged an orange brown inside the circle to represent the inside of the tree.

I am using this for the following challenges:
Alphabet Challenge - Y is Your Choice
Creative Knockouts - Dies and/or Punches
Jo's Scrap Shack - Anything Goes
Lawn Fawn - Fun With Dies

This is probably it for tonight.  I hope to see you tomorrow.  Have a great evening.

Back again

Hello.  I am back again.  I am working on cleaning off my desk.

This card has been sitting on it, waiting on me to make the post so I can send it to my son.  I am not good at coloring dogs but I like to make one from time to time to send to my son.  I left this one white with some gray shading.  The stamp is part of the Tim Holtz/Sizzix Dog Talk Set.  It is such a cute set.  I really need to use it more often.

The paper is a digital  paper from Happy Heart Studio from Etsy.  I just love her paper.  It is so affordable and prints great.

I am using it in the following challenges:
   Craft Challenge - Anything Goes
   Crafty Sentiments - Anything Goes
Aud Sentiments - Anything Goes + Sentiment
   Crafty Creations - Anything Goes

Off to see what else I can find on my desk and craft table.  Chat with you later.

Friday

Hello and Happy Friday.  I am still trying to get over my cold and sinus infection but I am determined to get a few things done today.  On the top of my list is getting my desk and craft table cleaned off.  It doing that I will probably get a list of other things I want to do but I have got to start somewhere.

My sister called the other night and wanted to make something.  She hadn't made any St. Patrick's Day cards so we decided one this corner box card.   It is the first time, I have made a corner one and it came out pretty good.  You have to be careful when you glue the inside pieces together.  If you are off, the least little bit, it doesn't fold correctly.  Or at least that is what I think.

I am using it in the following challenges:
   Craft Challenge - Anything  Goes
   Crafty Sentiments - Anything Goes

Off to work on my desk.  Hopefully I will be back later  with something else.

St. Patrick's Day Elephant

Hello again.  As promised, here is another card for you.  I started this card last year but I never finished it.

I used a basic circle easel card.  I added the Edward St Pat Circle from Bugaboo.  I just love the Edward elephants from Bugaboo.

I am using it in the following challenges:
Cut It Up - Anything Goes
Aud Sentiments - Anything Goes + Sentiment
   Crafty Creations - Anything Goes
   Crafty Gals - Anything Goes

Off to relax before I head to bed.  Chat with you tomorrow.

Quilt Die Again

Hello.  I am still trying to get over a cold and I still need to clean off my table but I am getting there slowly but surely.

I made another card using the quilt die.  This one is a BCA card.  I just love making these cards.  I have several friends who look forward to getting one from time to time.

After putting the quilt pieces together, I added a gem in the middle.  I printed the sentiment and added the ribbon brad.

I am using this card in the following challenges:
Simon Says Wednesday - Anything Goes
Just Add Ink - Color Challenge
Cute Card Thursday - Anything Goes

I am off to straighten the kitchen and get a shower.  I know it is late, but I would like to post one more card tonight.  Hopefully, I will make it.  So check back in a bit and see if I get it done.  Have a great evening.

Saturday Afternoon

Hello and How are all of you doing today?  I came down with a cold (or at least I hope it is a cold and not the flu) Thursday and I have felt awful.  So all of my craft time just didn't happen.  Oh well.

I made these cute little treat bags last weekend at my crop.  I put jelly beans in them.  They are now all ready for Easter morning.  I made six but I only needed 4 so I will have a couple of extras, in case I need a little treat.

I will chat at you later.  Have a good afternoon.

Friday Morning

Hello and Happy Friday.  It is early and I have no idea what the day will hold but I wanted to start off with a little something.

Last weekend, on my way out of town, I stopped at Hobby Lobby.  I wanted to make sure I didn't run out of tape for my tape runner so I stopped to get a refill.  On the way, to the adhesives, I saw these cute little boxes.  They were normally a dollar but they were 40% off so I just couldn't pass them up.  I picked up two blue ones and two pinks ones.

I thought they would be cute holding some Easter candy.  I cut out this cute bunny monogram and since they were so small I just stuck to first initials.  Too cute.

Have a great day and start to the weekend.  Chat with you later.

Spring time?

Hello and how are all of you?  Where did February go?  I can't believe today is March 1st.  I am ready for Spring.  It has rained most of the day, but about an half an hour ago, it started snowing.  Big huge flakes.  I can't believe that it is snowing.

Last weekend, I went to a crop with my craft buddies.  They all worked on their scrapbooks, but I took cards to work on.  I did pretty good.  I made three small albums, 6 Easter treat boxes, and 60 cards.  Plus I cut out a bunch of Hershey Kisses bottoms and some digital project life cards.  I also updated my March & April planner calendars.  So I feel like I had a productive weekend.  Plus I had so much fun.

I was tired when I got home and my sinus/allergies are acting up so I didn't spend a lot of time in my craft room this week.  I am hoping to have more time over the next few days.  This morning, when I got up, I decided to cut some thing quick.  I decided on these cute little bunny petal boxes.  Just too cute.  You can find the pattern here.

I am using it in the following challenges:
   Cupcake Inspiration - White
Jo's Scrap Shack - Anything Goes
   Crafty Sentiments - Anything Goes

Chat with you later.  Have a great afternoon.
