Rockets Red Glare

Hello.  I love the 4th of July.  I am a very proud American and I appreciate all of our wonderful military for what they do for this country.

I have had this pattern open on my cameo design studio for over a week.  I am mailing my cards out tomorrow and I knew today was my last chance to make it.  It was a quick and easy pattern and I just love it.

I am going to use it for the following challenges:
   Die Cutting Divas - Patriotic
Craft Spot by Kimberly - Shaped Cards
Repeat Impressions - Shaped or Fun Fold Cards

Have a great evening.

Ice Cream

Hello again.   I have a couple of cards I still want to finish up.  This is the first one.

The challenge over at Clear It Out is sponsored by Meljen's Designs and the theme is your favorite ice cream color.  I decided to use the ice cream sundae image from Meljen and color it my favorite ice cream color.  Strawberry.  It has butterscotch running off the top of it with Cool Whip and a cherry.

Butterscotch doesn't really go with strawberry ice cream but I don't like fudge or hot chocolate on my ice cream.

Have a bowl of ice cream this evening and relax.

Similar but different

Hello.  I am always surfing the web.  We all do it and I hope my page inspires you to relax and have some fun.

Chick-n-Scrap is a great source for inspiration.  I enjoy seeing what she is making.  I saw this card on her site.  I liked it so much that I decided that I would make my own version of the card.  I hope you like both of them and if you have time please check out Chick-n-Scrap.  Thank you Jessica for sharing such a great card.

I added the gem star and gems instead of sequins.  The red border is glittery and a ribbon at the bottom.  This card was fun to make.

Off to clean my craft table before I start cooking dinner.

DeeDee Designs

Hello.  Another late night.  I just love how quiet the house is and it is just the best time to play.

A couple of weeks ago, I ran across DeeDee Designs' monthly challenge.  I just love the monthly designs so I added it to my list.  And as always, I am doing a card at the last minute.  I really didn't know what to do with the little piggy in the inner tube, but I finally decided to keep it simple.

I used the sketch from Digi Sketch challenges.  It was an easy one and I thought the piggy would look good in the middle of the card.

I hope you have a great night.

Another one

Hello, me again.  I started this card last night and I wanted to finish it before I head off to work.  This is one of the images I won from Sassy Cheryl.  She has some of the cutest kids images.  I will definitely be going back to purchase some more.

Isn't this little girl with her dog just the cutest.

I used the Repeat Impressions' sketch (J2514) for the card.  It had lots of layers but it work really well with this image.  I just love how it came out.  I also used more of my perler beads.  I love having some many colors available. I textured the pink background.

The other thing, I loved about this card, is that I used a lot of scraps for it.  It is always good to use up some of the pieces.

The Chocolate Coffee Cards' challenge, this week, is Summer Days.  I am going to use this card for that challenge also.

I really enjoyed this sketch.  I will be using it again.  Have a great day.

Squigglefly

Hello.  When I saw that Squigglefly was a one layer challenge.  I immediately knew which digital stamp I was going to use.  It is a freebie over at Squigglefly, but still a great choice for a one layer card.  When you print it the size is a little off and you have a little bit of the card showing but really like how it came out.

I know this is a short post but I want to finish off these cards before I head to work.  Hopefully I will play around tonight.

Sunset and vacation

Hello.  It is Friday again.  I hope every one has a great weekend.

It is time for another challenge at Cut It Up Challenges.  I can't wait to see what every one comes up with.  It was a hard challenge for me, but I like the way the card came out.

The theme is Twilight.  So let's break out of the box and come up with some great projects.  The prize this time, will be a $10 gift card from Kadoodle Bug Designs.

My stamping buddy is going on vacation this weekend and I am going to give her the card.  I hope she gets to see lots of sunsets.

I hope everyone joins us over at Cut It Up Challenges for this great challenge.

Patriotic

Hello.  Yes, it is late again and I am playing.  I am usually a night owl.  I love the hours between 10:30 and 1:00 am.  I can get so much done during that time. Tonight I am working on patriotic cards.  I want to send my cards out next week.

This image is from Sweet N Sassy.  I just love the little mouse, Cocoa.  I colored over the stars.  They are just too small to color around, so I added some pearls for the stars.

I used the sketch from Sketch Saturday for this card.  I was originally going to make a standard size card but decided at the last minute to make it 5 X 5.

I am going to use this card in the following challenges:
Sweet N Sassy - All About Animals
   Sketch Saturday - Sketch 315

Have a great night.

Late Night

Hello.  It is the middle of the night here and I am just sitting down to play.  I really need to work on some patriotic cards.  I have several Meljen's Designs that I love for red, white and blue.  I am sure you will see the other images next week.

The Patriotic Bear is the one I picked tonight.  He is just so cute.  I adore him.  I added stars down the side and a red paper textured with my stripe folder as the background.  I thought about adding glitter but I like him just the way he is.  The stars also have swiss dots on them.

I am going to use the card for the following challenges:
Brown Sugar Challenges - Dots and/or Stripes
   Meljen's Designs - Textures
   Creative Cutting - 4th of July/Patriotic
Craftin Desert Divas - Red, White & Blue

Good night.

Just Because Candy Box

Hello.

I need to make some just because boxes.  I love having some on hand so if some thing comes up, I have some thing ready. When I saw that the challenge over at The Paper Shelter was Anything But a Card.  I knew I would be making some.

The images at The Paper Shelter are so elegant and detailed, that I decided to use one of the colored images.  I love the little florist.  Just too adorable.

I decided to put her on the tea bag box from Silhouette Online.  I love that the little box has sides on it.  It was suppose to have a honeycomb layer on it, but I left it off and just put a square of green paper with a swirly texture on it. I also printed two copies of the image and I layered it with foam tape.

That was my quick and easy project for the day.  Off to see what else I can get into.  Have a great day.

Stars and Stripes Rockets

Hello.  I hope everyone is having a great day.  It is rainy here and it is just the perfect day to sit in my craft room and play.

I haven't put out my 4th of July decorations yet.  I plan on doing it later this week.  I saw this cute rockets over at Consumer Crafts.  I didn't have the paper mache tubes so I just used toilet paper tubes.  I made two but I will be making a few more once I decide what kind of cup I will be using.

I didn't make them as candy boxes because I was afraid that would make them to heavy.  I will post a picture once I get them in the cup and sitting on my entryway table.

I am going to use them for the Stars and Stripes challenge over at Scrappy Mom's.  I have a couple of patriotic projects I want to work on this week.  I hope I find the time.

Have a good day.

From The Heart

Hello again.  My crafting buddies' son got his driver's license this week and I wanted to down him a card in the mail.  He is so excited about being able to drive now.

I decided to use the sketch from From The Heart.  I used the Birthday Pickup for the card.  I used the eraser feature in my cameo program and erased the presents out of the back of the truck.  I hope  that is ok.  I also flipped the sketch around.

You can tell from the picture but the light blue strip has a swiss dot texture on it.   And I also used some more of my homemade gems.

Have a great night.

Birthday cards

Hello.  How is your Saturday going?  I worked but now I am home spending some time in my craft room.

I have been in need of some birthday cards so I took one of Bird's Cards' card covers and added a butterfly birthday circle from Silhouette Online.  My card cover was a little smaller than I wanted so I added a line of swiss dots down the side of my card.  Then some ribbon and another butterfly and my card was complete.  I used peach this time because I feel like I have been using a lot of blue and pink.

I am going to use the card in the Tuesday Throwdown challenge.  The theme is Celebrations.

Have a great evening.  Hopefully I will be back later.

Sailor

Hello.  I am so enjoying school being out for the summer.  So many projects to work on.

I needed another baby shower card so I just had to cut the sailor card from Silhouette Online.  The color is off on the collar but it still came out cute.  It is a little bigger than I usually make my cards, but I am not mailing it so I don't have to worry about the extra postage.

I am going to use it for the Repeat Impressions' Designer's Choice Challenge (baby things).

Off to work on a few things.  I will be back later.

There is always bees in the summer

Hello on a hot muggy day.  I am proud of my self.  I am actually going to get a card made for The Paper Shelter challenge.

The challenge over at The Paper Shelter is Summer Time.  Well, you can't have summer without bees and isn't this just the cutest bee ever.   This little bee can fly around my patio any time.  I won't even swat at him.

I liked the yellow pattern paper.  It somehow reminded me of a honeycomb.  The saying is from Imagine That.  I decided to use a creme ribbon instead of a white one.  To me, it blended with the card better than a white one would have.  I used the sketch over at Repeat Impressions to make the card.

I am going to use this  card in the following challenges:
The Paper Shelter - Summer Time
   Brown Sugar Challenges - Summer
Love To Create - Anything Goes
Clear It Out - Anything Goes
Die-Cuttin Divas - Things With Wings (I cut the circles and the saying with my Cameo)
   Repeat Impressions - Sketch J1114

Off to eat a late lunch.  Hopefully I will be back later.

Nautical

Hello and Happy Father's Day to all the Dads out there.  I hope you have a great day. I am working today so we will celebrate Father's Day afterwards.

I wanted to make a quick card before heading to work.  I purchased this little boat from Silhouette Online last week.  It was a new design and I just thought it was too cute not to purchase.  The sample was red, white and blue and I will probably make a red, white, & blue one at some point but today, I stuck with all blue.  It went together so well.  I love it even more.

I am going to use the card for the following challenges:
   Creative Card Crew - Nautical
   Sketch Saturday - Sketch 314

Now I am off to get ready for work.  Chat with you later.

Father's Day again

One more Father's Day Card.  Or at least I think this is my last one.  I have one more I want to make but I don't know if I will get it made tonight.

This is another Silhouette Online pattern.   I just fell in love with it.  I am always glad to see tool cards.

Once again, have a great evening.

SVG Cutting Files

Hello....

As promised, I made a fish bowl slider card with the original fish.  I don't know which one I like best.  The original fish is different but I do like him. He looks so happy.

 Have a great evening.

Sketch Saturday

Hello.  I was checking out the new sketch over at Sketch Saturday and I won the sketch challenge this week.  I was just shocked.

The upcoming sketch looks like a fun one.  I can't wait to play with it.

Have a good one...

Whimsie Doodles

Hello.  I hope everyone is having a great evening.

The challenge over at Whimsie Doodles this month was animals.  I knew when I saw it that I was going to use these fish.

The card is a slider card from SVG Cutting Files.  I cut a few extras so I could make one with the fish from SVG Cutting Files.  Hopefully I will post it tomorrow.

Have a great evening.

Cut It Up Challenges

Hello.  Happy Friday.

It is time for another Cut It Up Challenge.  The theme, this week, is Weddings.  Must use bells.

I don't normal make wedding/anniverary cards.  I don't know why, I just don't.  So when I saw this challenge, I knew it would be a hard one for me.  But I had a couple of sets from Silhouette Online that had the wedding theme, so I made a simple card but it came out elegant, I think.

 We have some great sponsors.

As Cute As A Button  -  $20 Gift Code

Die Versions - $15 Gift Card

I hope everyone joins us at Cut It Up for this challenge.  Have a great weekend.

Father's Day again

Hello.  Today was the last day of school.  I am so looking forward to a few days of quiet crafting time next week.  But first I need to do a little cleaning around the house.

In the meantime, I am still making Father's Day cards.  I have already mailed my Dad's and FIL's cards, but my husband will probably get a couple of cards.

My husband is an electrician and the Little Beaver from Meljen's is the perfect image.  He does the estimates so he always has blueprints and most jobs require hard hats.  I wasn't sure what color to use.  I thought I had a blue pattern paper with Dad all over it, but I couldn't find it, so I decided to go with the dark dark red. I made the Dad in yellow to add some more color to it.

I am going to use it in the following challenges:
   Sketch Saturday - Sketch 313
   Glitter N Sparkle - Use a Digi
   Meljen's Design - Dad
CMC Copic Challenges - Anything Goes
   Tuesday Throwdown - Special Man

I hope everyone has a great weekend.

Father In Law

Hello.  I am mailing Father's Days cards out today.  I needed one more for my Father-in-law.  I saw this cute card on Silhouette Online and thought it would be a good card.  I didn't do the stitching on it.   Instead I added a ribbon and textured the ribbon on the bottom of the card.

The pattern called for the inside to be a different color, but I decided not to add it.  If I had added the color, I would have added a dark color and I knew you couldn't write on it.

I am going to use this card for the Digi Sketch Challenge.  The challenge, this week, is For the Men or a sketch.  Since it is a Father's Day card.   I thought it would work.

I hopefully will be back later with something new.  Have a good afternoon.

Sunshine

Hello.  We have been having some gorgeous days lately.  In honor of them, I just had to make this card that I  saw on Kimberly's Crafty Spot.  It was just so cute.  The sunshine is a Miss Kate Cuttables file.

Instead of the banner across the bottom, I added a tag attached with twine.

I am going to use the card for the following challenges:
   Creative Cutting - Anything Goes
Crafting Desert Divas - Favorite Color (yellow)

Have a great evening.
