Last post of the month

Howdy once again.  This is my last month of the month and I made 20.  I am trying real hard to have at least 20 post each month.

This is one of my favorite images for the month.  It is by From The Heart.  They have some amazing images.  This is the monthly challenge image.  I have told myself a dozen times this month, that I needed to make a card with it, but once again, I waited until the last minute.

I layered the top flower square three times.  The others are only layered twice.  I added a ribbon and some pearls.

I am going to use this card in the following challenges:
From The Heart - Monthly challenge
   Glitter N Sparkle - Ribbon
Casual Friday - 3 of Something

Have a great evening.

Spring Day

Hello again.  This is the last one for tonight.

I made this card a couple of weeks ago.  It is one of Samantha Walkers' new interactive cards.  I had some trouble with the slider but I did get it to work.  I wish there was a way to use the brads and have them closed looser.  I might play with it another day.

Once again, have a great evening.

Whimsie Doodles

Hello again.  My sister isn't feeling good today so I had to play by myself.  I decided to playing with the Whimsie Doodle's challenge.  It was April Showers/water.  I had these two fish from Whimsie Doodles' so I just had to use them.

I didn't want the whole background to be of water so I added the orange stripe.  I printed the sentiment on my computer.

Have a great night.

Strawberry Season

Hello.  I hope everyone is having a great sunny day.  It is rainy here, but the sun has come out for short periods of time.

It is strawberry season.  I just had to make some strawberry cards.  This is the first one.  It is the basic strawberry card from Silhouette Online and then I used the Strawberry Fairy from Meljen's Designs.  I just love both of them together.

I also added some glitter on the strawberry.

I am going to use this in the following challenges:
   Tuesday Throwdown - Sparkle
   Die Cuttin Divas - Girly
   Creative Card Crew - Girly
Brown Sugar Challenge - Anything Goes

Have a great evening.

Meljen's Designs

Hello.  I decided to combine some challenges today using one of my Meljen's Designs' images.  This little beaver has been on my stamps to play with list for some time.

My husband is an electrician and he does most of the paperwork for his company so I am going to have the card sitting on his desk when he gets home.

I really liked how well he colored up.  I added a swirl texture to the base card.  Twine across the top of the card to hold the charm and dimensional tape to the back of the beaver.

I am using the card for the following challenges:
   Meljen's Designs - Metal embellishments
   Repeat Impressions - Masculine
Clear It Out - Animals with striped paper
   Sketch Saturday - Sketch #307

Off to get a few things done in the kitchen.  Hopefully I will be back later with another card.  Have a great afternoon.

Ladybugs

Hello, happy Thursday.  One more get up until the weekend.

I love ladybugs so when I saw the monthly progressive challenge at Imagine That, I was so happy.  I love the rainboots.  I purchased several more so you will be seeing others.  I also used some of the digital paper from Imagine That.  I then added a ladybug button and ribbon and my card was ready to go.

I followed the sketch on Sketch Saturday.  I really liked how quick and easy it was to put together.  You might be seeing it again, too.  I am also going to use the card in the Digi Sketch Challenge (floral).

Off to make a few more of these cards.

Meljen's Designs

Howdy, once again.   I really wanted to enter the Meljen's Designs' challenge.  However, it is an Easter theme and I really didn't want to make an Easter card since Easter has come and gone.  I had the Little Puddle Duck sitting on my desk and I decided to use him.  Duckies can be used for Easter and since it is spring, it isn't unusual to get rain.  I added some flowers and butterflies.  I think it came out pretty good.

Have a good night and I will hopefully be back tomorrow.

Spring Flowers

Hello.  This is a cutting files (flower pot center step card) by Lori Whitlock.  I have so many of her cutting files.  She makes some great cutting files.  You can get them on Silhouette Online or her SVG site.

I saw this card several weeks ago and I purchased it immediately.  I finally got around to making it.  I used pastel colors over the bright colors of summer.  I added a ribbon at the bottom and a butterfly.

I found the butterflies at Hobby Lobby today in their Easter clearance section.  They will be perfect this spring/summer.  They came with the glitter and the pearl in the center.

I am going to use this card in the following challenges:
   Creative Cutting - Spring
   Glitter N Sparkle -  Spring
   Lori Whitlock - Flowers

I hopefully will be back later with another card.  In the meantime, have a great afternoon.

Cut It Up

Hello.  If you celebrate Easter and Good Friday, I hope you have a great start to the holiday weekend.  It is time for another challenge at Cut It Up.

I am excited to see this challenge.  The theme is Birthday cards.  We all use them and I am always looking for more ideas, so I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with.  The sponsors this month is Becky at Creative Crazy.  She will be sending the winner a ribbon trio and a $15 credit to Scrappy Dew.

I used the floral birthday cake from Silhouette Online.  I love the flower pattern.  I cut this card to big for the standard envelope so I will be sizing it down for the next cut.  Plus I might add a digital stamp to the size.  If I make the changes I will let you know.

I hope to see you over at Cut It Up.  Have a great weekend.

Bunny

As promised, here is one more card.  I have two more sets of cards to finish and I will be all caught up.   Hopefully later tonight.

This is one of the cards that I started on Monday.  It isn't one of my favorites, but I cut the pieces so I wanted to finish it.  Plus I need to finish my Easter cards.

Every thing is from Miss Kate Cuttables.

Off to make dinner.  Hopefully I will be back later.

Lori Whitlock

Hey, it's me again.  I saw this card by Lori Whitlock on her site.  I knew when I saw it that I was going to have make some.  I brought the pattern immediately and left the picture up on my computer.  One of my goals for today is to close some of the windows I have opened.

This card is quick and easy to put together and it is great for spring.  I think it would be great late summer as a sunflower.  So you might see it again.

I will be posting one more card and then it is time to start dinner.  Enjoy the afternoon.

Catching Up

Hello.  I am still trying to finish up some cards that I started Monday when I was playing around with my Mother and sister.  My Mother made the inside of this card first and then had to make the outside.  I decided to go with something simple.

I bought this several weeks ago and it kind of went with the inside (eggs and bunnies).  I cut one with the  Happy Easter and one without.  I love the tulips on the inside.

I am going to use this card in the Polka Doodle animals challenges (it has bunnies, that should work, right?)

I am off to see what else I can get into.  Hopefully I will be back in a little while....

Whimsie Doodles - Guest Designer

Hello.  In Whimsie Doodle's last challenge, I was picked to be a Guest Designer.  It is such an honor.  Whimsie Doodles is one of my favorite companies.  Lizzie has been put into so many digital, for so many holiday and seasons.  I just adore her and all the others.

For this card, I used one of Silhouette Online's trifold card (Easter, of course).  I thought the Lizzie and Jayson would fit perfectly on the back panel.  I kept the hatching egg and the hoppy easter and added a little chickie.

I stuck with the yellow from the chickie and added green.  Not my normal Spring colors but I like how it came out.

Since I used polka dots and stripes in my background paper, I am going to use this card in the Sweet N Sassy dots or stripes challenge and the Chocolate Coffee Cards' stripes challenge.  I am also going to enter the Easter challenges at Repeat Impressions and My Craft Spot.

I hope everyone has a great day.

Meljen's Designs

Meljen's Designs' is celebrating their 4th Anniversary of opening.  For their challenge this time around, they gave out a free image to use.  It was these to adorable little kids having a tea party.

I haven't made an easel card in a while, so I put the image on the Square Frill Easel card from My Scrap Chick.  It ended up being a little too pink so I added a blue ribbon with a pink button in the middle.  I really liked the lace look.

I think it will make a great birthday card.  I am going to put the cards in my OWH box.

For some unknown reason, I couldn't get a good picture of it sitting as an easel so I just put the front in my card holder.

I am using this card for the following challenges:
   Meljen's Designs - 4th Anniversary
   Eureka - Ribbon & Bows
Love To Create - Anything Goes w/ Kids
Craftin Desert Divas - Anything Goes

I am off to do a few more things.  Once again, have a great afternoon.

Tri-fold spring card

Hello. This is another card from Monday.  I have one more card after this one, but I need to finish it up first.

This is one of the new tri-fold cards from Silhouette Online.  I only made two.  I wish I had made more.  I embossed the tree with my tree texture folder and added the cat to the fence.  When we started it, I thought it was going to be a small card, but I love the size of it.

I am  going to use the card in the following challenges"
Get Inky - Spring or Easter
   Creative Card Crew - Spring

Hopefully, I will be back later with something else.  Have a great afternoon.

First Day of Spring Break

Hello.  I work in our local school as a cook, so when the school is closed, I am off.  This week is Spring Break.  I have the whole week, and I am so glad.  I have so many things I needed to do around the house.

I did a few things this morning and then my Mom, sister and I got on ooVoo and played around.  I have several cards to post.  I will try to get more posted tomorrow.

This card was a new design today on Silhouette Online.  My sister saw it and she immediately said we had to get it.  I wasn't going to use lavender/purple (it isn't one of my favorite colors), but at the last minute, I changed my mind.  I also decided not to use it for Easter/Spring.  I am going to use them as sympathy cards.

Have a great night.

Stand Up Card

Hello again.  Now for our first project of the day.  I purchased a lot of the stand up cards on Silhouette Online last week.  So we all decided to make the Easter one.

These cards were so quick and easy to put together.  We didn't cut the envelopes.  I want to try the strawberry one next.  I am going to put my message on the back of the card.

I am going to use this card for the following challenges:
   Creative Cutting - Easter
Love To Create - Color Inspired

Off to make something else.  Chat with you all soon.

More Belly Boxes

Hello...My sister and I have several belly boxes, we want to make for Easter, but first we had to make the tiger ones.  My nieces and nephews will be getting these for Easter.  They are all Auburn University fans/students.

I will be back in a little while with another project.  My Mother joined my sister and I today on skype and we have been making Easter cards.

Cut It Up

It is time for another Cut It Up challenge.  The theme is Easter and it was perfect for me because I am in Spring mode.  We are still having some cold days but the white stuff is basically gone and I am ready for the Spring flowers.

I decided to use this Easter Egg from Silhouette Online.  The picture on the site was all white but I decided to color the flowers to add some color.  I just love how it came out.

The sponsor for this week is As Cute As a Button.

Make sure to get your card/project in.  I can't wait to see what you come up with.  Have a great day.

Bunny Belly Box

Before I go to bed I wanted to post a project I made yesterday, but it was so busy around here that I never did get to post the pictures.

I have fallen in love with the belly boxes at My Scrap Chick.  They are just so cute.  I made the elephant a few weeks ago and now I am working on the Easter ones.  She had all of the belly boxes on sale last week so I picked up several.  You will be seeing several over the next few weeks.

This one is the Bunny Belly Trio.  I made a brown one and a gray one.  My husband said the gray one was his favorite.  What do you think?

I have the lamb,  trio bunny and chickie to make for Easter.  I can't wait to see them all finished lined up on my counter.  I am going to need some more straw for the bellies.

I am off to do a few things before I head to bed.  Chat with all of you tomorrow.

Favorites of the month

Is it really April?  I really hope we start getting some spring weather soon.  I am on spring break next week and I can't wait.  I want to work in the yard a little bit and then get a couple of projects done on the inside.

Plus I want lots of play time.  I have started a list of things I want to work on.  Hopefully you will see at least one post every day next week.

Speaking of post, I didn't hit my goal of 25-30, but I was really close so I am happy with that.  I know there will be months where life gets in the way.  Last month was one of those months.

I am still cutting back on challenges.  I love doing them, but my list of things to work on is never ending so I am going to do some challenges and then some just for the fun of it projects.  I was chosen as a Guest Designer on Whimsie Doodles Designs and a won a challenge over at Action Wobbles.  I was excited about both of these.

Now for the Top 5 favorite cards that I made in the month of March.

I hope you have enjoyed my look back over March.  I also want to take a moment to thank every one who had left a comment on my blog.  Or every one that just looks through the pages.  I really appreciate it.

Have a great weekend and I will see you again soon.
