Silhouette Weekly Shape Challenge

It is finally football season!!!  I worked today but I put a football game on the tv shortly after coming in the door.  My husband had one on in his office, but I had to put one of too.   It has been a great opening weekend.

I am watching the Clemson vs Georgia right now and trying to finish up some projects. So there might be more post as the evening/night goes by.

This is the free shape this week at Silhouette Online.  I wasn't sure if I would ever cut it but I saw it on Silhouette Blog and I decided to cut one out.  It is a quick cut and easy to put together.  I like it so much that I might be making some for the first day of school.

The butterfly is also a Silhouette Online file.  It is by Lori Whitlock.  I have quite a few butterflies but I think this one is one of my favorites.

Since it is the free shape of the week and also has a shape on it, I am going to entering it into the weekly shape challenge.

Have a great evening.

Parade Your Craft - Picnic Challenge

I started this card Wednesday or Thursday and I just haven't had time to color the little boy.  The little boy is by Whimsie Doodles. And the little pendants and sayings are by My Craft Spot by Kimberly.

I am going to use the card for the challenge over at Parade Your Craft.

Have a great evening.  If you watch college football, I hope you have had a great day on Kickoff Day.

Birthday Cake Explosion Box

I never did post the pink birthday box.  I just love how these came out and how easy they were to put together.

I didn't put anything on the top of the cake.  If I decide later I want to put some thing on it, I can add it then.  I like the little flowers on the side of the cake.

Craft Spot by Kimberly

I do alot of challenges because I feel like it inspires me to make cards.  When I win one, it just shocks me.   And I am excited to tell you, that I won the 3D challenge over at Craft Spot by Kimberly

Have a nice evening.

Lori Whitlock's Birthday Cake Box

When Lori Whitlock came out with the square explosion box, I fell in love with it.  Then she came out with the round cake.  I just adore both of these.  I just had to make one of them.

My son's birthday is this month, so I made one for him.  I even added a 22 to the top of the cake.  And since it was for my son, I just had to make it his favorite color and his favorite college football team had to be on it some where.

I started a pink one and I will post it in a little while.

I am going to enter this one into the Silhouette Online weekly shape challenge.

Have a great evening.

Cut It Up Design Team

I have a big announcement.  I was selected as one of the new Design Team members for Cut It Up Challenge.  I am so excited.  It should be so much fun.

Cut It Cut Challenge post challenges every two weeks.  A prize is given to the randomly picked person and then a Top 3 is picked by the Design Team.  You must following the challenge theme and it must have a die cut on it some where.  If you don't follow the site, you should check it out.

The current challenge is Back to School Altered Notebook and it runs until September 4th.  Once again, you should check it out.

Have a great day everyone.

Back to School

I don't normally make back to school cards but I had a niece who was all excited to go back to college so I made her a card.  I might take a few to work with me also since I do work at a school.

The little girl is from Whimsie Doodles.  I think she just looks like she is ready for the first day of school.

I got the layout from a sketch at C.R.A.F.T. challenge.  And I am also using the card for the Back to School challenge at The Pink Elephant.

This is probably it for tonight.  I plan on spending some time playing tomorrow.  Have a good evening.

Football Season

It is football season.  College football starts this weekend.  Every one in my house is excited and ready to watch some football.

So I decided to make some cards for some of the men in the family.  I thought it would be perfect for Meljen's Fancy Font challenge.  And I  am also using it in the Whimsical Designs' School Color challenge.

Have a great day everyone.

Tuesday Throwdown - Top 3

I was picked as one of the Top 3 at Tuesday Throwdown.  Thank you ladies for picking my card.  I will be back later with a new card.

Last one for tonight - Curtain Call

Last one for tonight.  It is getting late and I have to work tomorrow.  But before retiring for the night, I wanted to make a card for Curtain Call's Carnival challenge. I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with this challenge, but then I saw this card by Lori Whitlock.  It was just perfect.

See you later...

Silhouette 101 - Another Easel Card

I can't believe I forgot to post this card.  It is another easel card from My Scrap Chick.  I just love these patterns.  They are so much fun to put together.

Have a great night.

Silhouette 101 - My Scrap Chick

I just love the patterns over at My Scrap Chick.  This is one of her easel cards.  I will be making a few more easel cards over the next few days.  I started this one on Friday, but I had a wisdom tooth cut out and I didn't get it finished.   I finally finished it tonight.

I am going to use it for a couple of challenges....Craft Spot by Kimberly's 3D challenge, CardzTV's PopIt Up challenge, Tuesday Throwdown's scrap challenge (I used scraps for everything even the card), QKR Stampede's Anything Goes and Little Scrap Pieces' Anything Goes challenge.

I hope you have a great weekend.

Craft Spot by Kimberly

A couple of weeks ago, I won a  challenge at Craft Spot by Kimberly.  The prize was a set of tag dies.  I wanted to show every one a picture of the dies.  They are just wonderful.  I don' t know what yet, but I plan on using them to some thing soon.

Thank you so much for the dies.  They will get a lot of use.

Have a great day and weekend.

Meljen's Designs

I really liked the swing cards on Silhouette Online.  I think I will probably end up with all of them.  I got the square one today and I decided to use Meljen's seagull in the center.  I then cut out a lighthouse and seagull to accent the card.  I used one of my texture folders for the background.  This was a fun card to put together.

Have a great day.

Meljens Designs & Cardz TV

I won this apple barrel from Meljens Designs a couple of weeks ago and I really wanted to use it.  I probably won't send the cards out until closer to Fall, but I really wanted to use the stamp.

I cut the rabbit and some of the apples out and popped them.  I also added some crystal lacquer to the apples so they are shiny.  The swirl behind the frame is a spellbinder swirl.

I am entering it into the 'Frame It' challenge at Meljens Designs and the 'Seeing Red' challenge at CardzTV.

Have a great afternoon.

Organizing Unmounted Stamps

While I had my Impression Obsession stamps out, I decided to put them in DVD cases.  I purchased a 100 blank cases from Amazon.  So I will be doing more of these as time goes by.  I also bought a bookcase to put the stamp cases.  I am looking forward to getting everything organized.

Have a great one.

Impression Obsessions - Let's Hear It For The Boys challenge

I love IO's stamps.  I mainly have fall and Christmas stamps so some of their challenges are hard for me, but I do love a challenge.  This one is 'Let's Hear It For The Boys'.  I pull out my lighthouse scene.  I just love the sailboat on the side.

While I have my IO stamps out, I am going to get them organized a little better.  I want to put all the unmounted stamps in DVD cases.

I hope everyone is having a great week.

Repeat Impressions - Revision

Ok, I decided to play around with the card a little more.  There was a couple of things I didn't like.  My husband, however, really liked it.  He liked the first one the best.  What do you think?  I like the second one.

Repeat Impressions

I have missed the last few Repeat Impressions' challenges, so I really wanted to get this one done.  I liked the sketch but I am not so sure about what I came up with.  I may play around some more with it.

I cut the fish out and popped a foam dot behind it.  I added texture to the actual card.  I wish I had used something besides white.

That is about it.  Hope you have a nice evening.

Revision:  I made another version of this card, if you want to see it, click here.

Riley & Company

The challenge over at Riley & Company is Spots, Dots and Circles.  I decided to use my Present Riley and put him on the Silhouette Card Base #7 card.  I really like that the front is a circle and the little dots going around the last layer. I decided to use pastel colors so it would also work for  Tuesday Throwdown, but I missed the challenge.  On well, I will do better next time.

I have a really good friend that has a birthday this weekend so the card is going into the mail right away.  She will just adore Riley Moose.

Have a great evening everyone.

Purses

I love to keep candy boxes on hand, just in case I need to give one to someone.  I saw these purses by Lori Whitlock and I just had to make a couple.  I think I am going to make some Christmas ones.

This is the last of my started projects.  Now on to something new.  Well, after I cut some Christmas purses.

Have a great day.

Black & Yellow = Bees & challenges

Finally, no migraine.  Hopefully I will get some things finished today.  I started this card on Wednesday and I finally finished it today.  I just love the little hexagons.  Most of the paper was white and black so I took a copic marker and colored the white area yellow.

I am going to use the card for the Whimsical Design's Bingo challenge (it has stamps, die cuts, and embossing), the QKR Stampede's Bugs challenge and the Little Scrap Pieces' Anything Goes challenge.

While I have the hexagon shape set up on my cutter, I will probably use it on another card.

See all of you soon with another project.

Our Daily Bread Sketch

I went over to 'Our Daily Bread' the other day and noticed that they had a sketch challenge.  I don't have alot of their stamps, but I do have some and I feel like I don't use them as much as I should, so I thought this was a good opportunity.

I used the 'Flag' stamp in the middle circle with some glitter for the stars.  I am going to leave the flag out because I really want to use it with their bicycle stamp for Labor Day cards.  I might even work on them tonight, since I am running out of time.

I work today so I won't get to stamp as much as I would like.  I have two projects started but I haven't finished them.  We will see if today is the day or not.

Have a great Sunday everyone.

QKR Stampede

Just a quick note, before I head off to work.  I got chosen for the Top 5 over at QKR Stampede this week for the No Squares Challenge.  Thank you so much ladies for picking my card.

Enjoy what is left of your weekend.

Lori Whitlock

I just love Lori Whitlock's cutting files.  They cut so well and she has some great ideas for using the files.  I saw a similar card on her site and I just had to try and duplicate it.  With different paper, of course.

The card is the a2 lori whitlock card base lace card on Silhouette Online, the butterflies are the layered butterfly and the flower is the 3d lori whitlock flower.  You have to resize the butterflies and the flower.  I think I will use a different flower next time.

I am going to use this card for two buggy challenges at Whimsical Designs and Cut It Up Challenges.

I think that is it for tonight.  I will catch all of you tomorrow hopefully.  If not, have a great weekend.

My Craft Spot by Kimberly

I entered the clean and simple challenge over at My Craft Spot by Kimberly and I won.  Once again, I am just shocked.  Thanks so much everyone for the comments.  I really appreciate them.

Late Night Skype Session

My sister and I had another late night skype session.  My sister wanted to work on her Meljens Designs' challenge, so we went through our digital stamps to see which ones we both had.  We came up with the Sunflower Buggies.  And since it is a sunflower, it had to be a bright yellow card.

I also added a ladybug on a leaf brad by the Eyelet Outlet.

I think I will let this be my Anything Goes for Whimsical Designs.

See you tomorrow.  Have a great night.

Meljens Design - Wish you were here challenge

Back again.  With my challenge for Meljens Designs.   Since the theme was "Wish you were here", I decided to send another card to my son.  When he was growing up, I called him, Stink.  I still call him that occasionally, so I thought the Little Shunk would be perfect.

I used the flip card from Silhouette Online and I made a small mistake when cutting the skunk out but I think it will be ok.  My son probably won't even notice.

This is probably it for the night.  Have a good evening/night.

Meljens Designs

I just went over to Meljens Designs to see when their challenge ends and I won second place in the challenge last week.  I love Meljens' Digital stamps so I am looking forward to picking out two new stamps.

Something new to play with.  I can't wait.  I will be back in a little while with a new Meljen card for the current challenge.

Have a good one.

Repeat Impressions & some challenges

I started this card to be used in the Repeat Impressions' challenge.  I had it done and I just forgot to post it.  Too late now.  It is okay, I really like the stamp and I would have made the card anyway.

I picked up the brads at the Novi convention a few weeks ago and I thought they would work out great on the bottom of the card.  The saying stamp is from Our Daily Bread Designs.

I think I will use the card in two challenges; Parade Your Crafts' Down By The Sea challenge and Little Scrap Pieces' Day at the Beach challenge.

I hope every one is having a good week.  I have one more day left before I have to work.
