Christmas Countdown - Day 8

Hello again.  It is Friday and I am looking forward to the weekend.  I am working both days but I get to sleep in a little later and Saturday is my evening to hang with my husband.  I don't know what we will be doing, probably having a game night.  It will be fun.

My treat for today is TicTac holders.  This is one of my husband's least favorite treats but I love making the boxes so he  knows they will be in the countdown somewhere.  I used two patterns.  I like the snowflake one the best.  But the ornament is cute, too.

Have a great day and don't forget to come back tomorrow for day 9.

Christmas Countdown - Day 7

Hello and good morning.

I just adore the gable boxes.  I have made quite a few of them.  In fact, you will see some more of them over the next few weeks.  This set has a Santa, a Mrs Claus, a Girl Elf and a Boy Elf.  They are just so cute.  I found the pattern on Silhouette Online.

Have a great day and I will see you again tomorrow for Day 8.

Christmas Countdown - Day 6

Happy Hump Day.  The Elementary age kids at my job just love hump day.  We always ask what day it is and they will yell at the top of their lungs that it is HUMP DAY.

Today, I filled these cute little triangles with lots of candy and then added a print & cut pattern to the outside.

Have a great day and I will see you tomorrow with Day 7.

Christmas Countdown - Day 5

Good Tuesday morning.  This is one of those gifts that I use every Christmas.  I have enough for stockings and then a couple of extras for the countdown.  I fill them with something different every year.  This year I used M&Ms.

I found them at Hobby Lobby.  They have the Santa ones and also Snowmen.  Extra durable so I can use them over and over.

Have a great day and I will see you again tomorrow with day 6.

Christmas Countdown - Day 4

Good morning.  I just love these.  I filled them with chocolate, of course.

Here is the pattern if you want to make some.  Just be careful when putting them together.  The slot on the top is real close to the edge and tears easily.

Have a great day and I will see you tomorrow with day 5.

Christmas Countdown - Day 3

Here is my surprise for day 3.  It isn't one of my favorites.  It just seems plain.  Oh well,  they will enjoy the Reese's Peanut Butter Cups that are inside.

I found the pattern on Silhouette Online.

Have a great day and I will see you tomorrow with day 4.

Christmas Countdown - Day 2

Good morning.  The fun has begun.  I just love leaving these gifts in odd spots around the house.

I saw similar jars in the store and I just had to make some.  Once every thing dried, I filled them with M&Ms and the second day was done.

Have a great day and see you tomorrow with day 3.

Christmas Countdown - Day 1

Hello.  I can't believe it is December 1st.  Where has this year gone?  Oh well, time to get my countdown started.

Every year, my husband and son get a small token/gift every day until Christmas day.  I just love making the treat boxes and this is my way of using them.  Some I use every year, others they keep for themselves.  I always tell my son not to throw the treat boxes away.  To keep the ones he wants and then give me the others back.  I usually get about half of them back and that is okay.  It gets me ahead on the next year.

Over the next 25 days, I will posted quick daily notes on what the gift was and if there was a pattern, where I got it from.

This is day 1.  A friend gave me the idea.  It has 50 Hershey kisses in it.  Two for each day (I get one and my husband will get one and my son and his girlfriend will get one each every day until Christmas.)

Have a great day and I will see you tomorrow for day 2.

Frankenstein

Hello.  Happy Tuesday.  I didn't make it back last night, but I have one for tonight.  Since it was  kind of late, I decided to make a quick one.  I thought this Frankenstein was so cute.  A little bigger than I thought but quick and easy to put together.

Have a great night.

Pumpkin Gable Boxes

Hello.  I haven't felt like making anything lately.  So tonight I said down to see what I could come up with.  I only have one Halloween treat box made.  I really need a few more.

I love gable boxes.  They are just so easy to make and can be so cute.  So I pulled up the files of these pumpkins ones by Lori Whitlock.  I didn't want to make the solid orange so I printed some orange pattern paper and started cutting.  They came out so cute.

Well I am off to clean the supper dishes.  Hopefully I will be back a little later.

The theme is Breast Cancer Awareness.  This is a cause that is near and dear to my heart so I was so looking forward to making a card for this challenge.

Scrap Challenge - Day 4 & The Last Day

Hello.  Me and my internet is having so much fun trying to figure out the problem.  We woke up to no internet this morning.  My husband finally got it working so here I am.

I had so much left over from my kits that I had trouble figuring out what to work with first.  I made these three cards and all I need to do is add some sentiments.

Make sure you go over to Katie and Evelyn's blogs to check out what they made.

Off to clean off my craft table before I have to head to work.

Scrap Challenge - Day 3

Hello.  I am late posting this.  It has been a week.

For those just coming over to my blog.  A couple of friends and I decided to do a challenge together.  We each made a kit for every one with 4 images, 4 papers, embellishments and die cuts. We had to make a project with each kit and then the last day we will use the leftover pieces to make something.

The kit for today was my kit.  I just loved the image from Bugaboo and the card went together really well.  However, it took me forever to decided what to put on the bottom step.

Make sure you go over to Katie and Evelyn's blogs to check out what they made with my kit.

Chat with you later.

Scrap Challenge - Day 2

Hello.  How is everyone today?

It is day two of the scrap challenge.  Today, we used Evelyn's kit.  She had some get die cuts in it.  Plus I loved the stamped images.

Here is what I came up with.  I made two cards that I just adore. Thanks so much Evelyn for a fun kit.

I just knew when I saw the yellow windows, I was going to make a shaker card.

Make sure you check out what Katie and Evelyn came up with.

Have a great day.

Scrap Challenge

Hello and Happy Tuesday.  I hope this actually post.  I am having trouble with my internet.  My husband is working on it in between other things so hopefully he will figure it out soon.

A couple of us ladies from Cut It Up Challenges decided to do a challenge among ourselves.  We each made up kits to send to the others.  4 stamped images, embellishments and paper.  We each had to make a card with the kits and then one final one with all of the leftovers.  We will be posting them over the next four days.

Here is the first one.  The kit was from Katie.  I just loved all of the yellow in it.  Also check out Evelyn's blog to see what she did with the kit.

Come back tomorrow to see another card this one from Evelyn's kit.  Have a great day.

Similar but Different

Hello.  How is everyone?  I took a moment to make a card today.

My sister picked out this little girl from Whimsie Doodles a couple of weeks ago.  She made the card and I just didn't have the time to play that day.  I finally sat down and put the card together.  Mine is a little different but I like the results.

I am using it in the following challenges:
   Cute Card Thursday - Embossing
Word Art Wednesday - Anything Goes
Jo's Scrap Shack - Anything Goes

Chat with you tomorrow hopefully.

Hero Arts Purr

Hello.  Are are all of you on this early Wednesday morning?  I had trouble sleeping so I decided to just get up and play around in my stamp room.

I have a really good friend who is always laughing at me because she says I am bad about getting obsessed with a subject (cats for example) and then I buy a million stamps of the subject.  She is right to a certain point.  I feel like trends get started and all the stamp companies jump on board and then every where I look I see another cat.  And every one is different.  So I end up getting several.

Now some things, she is right about.  I love elephants and 9 times out of 10 if I see an elephant, I am buying it.

Cats and dogs are on my radar right now.  Every company has a set and they are all adorable.  I am trying to stop looking.  I have enough.  I did pick up this set from Hero Arts the other day.  I liked the sentiments and I just knew I would use it a lot.    I do wish the cats were a tad bigger.

I decided to keep this card simple.  Which is unusual for me but as I said I didn't get a lot of sleep last night.

I am using it in the following challenges:
   Creative Knockouts - Furry Friends
Just Add Ink - Choose Two
   Simon Says Wednesday - Splatter
Through The Purple Haze - Anything Goes #130

Chat with you later.

Cut It Up Challenges

Hello and Happy Friday.  I have been so busy lately that I haven't participated in the Cut It Up Challenges.  I wanted to make sure to catch up with all of my friends over there, so here is a card for the challenge.

The theme is Friendship.  In my way of thinking, love and friendship go hand in hand so I thought this sentiment would work.  The image and sentiment are from From The Heart.  I also cut a small ice cream cone for the inside of the card.

The sponsor this week is Heartfelt Creations.  The winner will get a $20.00 gift certificate.  I can't wait to see everyone's cards.

Have a great weekend.

Monster Mash

Hello and Good Morning. Have you ever had one of those mornings/days where you just have to walk away?  Today is that day.  My cutting machine is just not happy with me today.  First, the paper slipped, so I cleaned my mat and got it all sticky again.  Then it wouldn't cut all the way through the paper so I adjusted the blade and it still wouldn't cut.  So I replaced the blade.  I shouldn't need a new this one hasn't been used that much.  But I replaced it anyway.  It still didn't cut really well.  So I am turning it off and walking away.  I have clothes to fold any way.

Before I go, let me show you the card I am working on.  I got enough cut out to put one together.  I am using the sketch from Paper Play Sketches.  I just love their sketches.

I know I used this little monster a few days ago but he was just so cute and still on my cutting machine's drawing board so here he is.  I am using up some of my scraps so it is taking longer to cut him, but I have so many scraps to use.  Once again, I put a wobble behind him.

I am using him in the following challenges:
   Crafty Sentiments - Anything Goes
Paper Play Sketches - Sketch #47
Jo's Scrap Shack - Anything Goes
Connie Can Crop - Use Your Stash

Chat with you later.  Hopefully, my machine will like me better this afternoon.

RWB Thinking of You

Hello.  How is everyone doing?  As always, I have been busy.  I started back working at my second job and it has kept me busy and then my son has been here visiting for the last few days and it has been wonderful having him here.  It just means I haven't had a lot of computer time.  He is out of the house tonight so I sat down for a little while.

I decided to pull one of my to finish projects.  It is red, white and blue but instead of a patriotic sentiment, I just put thinking of you on it.  I thought it would be nice to send to my in-laws.  My father-in-law is retired Army and all of us are proud of him and his service to this country.  I know he will like the red, white and blue theme.

I am using it in the following challenges:
Fab N Funky - Use Patterned Paper
   Penny's - Anything Goes #338
   Simon Says Wednesday - Stars
   Crafty Calendar - Anything Goes

Chat with you later.

Hello again

Hello.  I have a bunch of cards started but not finished.  I am really bad about making a card, then putting the pieces together in a ziplock to finish when I get together with friends.  I have been so busy that I have missed the last monthly get together.  So I want to finish up some of these kits.

I used this card for the 4th of July and I finished all of them except two.  Now they are all done.  I like the fold on it.  And of course, it has an elephant on it so it is perfect for most of my family.

I am using it in the following challenges:
Glitter N Sparkle - Red, White & Blue
Paper Play Sketches - Red, White & Blue
Inspiration Destination - Anything Goes #132

Chat with you later.

Happy Birthday

Hello.  Where has this week gone?  I can't believe it is Friday already.

I have been trying to pull some of my old digitals out of their folders and using them.  This is an old Meijen image.  I so miss her.  She had some great images.   I guess I will just have to be happy with the ones I have.

Lots of layers on it and of course it is pink.  I am once again on a pink kick.  I am going to have to quit using pink so much.

I am using it in the following challenges:
Di's Digitals - Layer It Up
   Penny's - Anything Goes #337
In The Pink - Special Occasion
   Creative Knockouts - Birthday Wishes

Chat with you later.

Meow

Hello.  How is everyone today?  It hasn't starting raining yet today but it sure is muggy.  I couldn't concentrate on anything last night so I have a million things cut and laying all over my desk.

This meow title is one of them.  I cut a bunch of them.  So now I have to use them.  It is hard to tell in the picture but the cat is gray and white.  I added some texture to the stripe to add some dimension.

I take my card pics on top of my fish tank.  And that is my cat's favorite place to lay when I am moving around the house.  Usually when I place a card on it to take a picture, she moves.  Not today, so you get a shot of her too.  I thought it appropriate since it is a cat card.

I am using this card in the following challenges:
CAS-ual Friday - Tic Tac Toe
Sunny Day Crafting - A is for Animals
Brown Sugar - Anything Goes #258
Gem of a Challenge - Animals
Word Art Wednesday - Anything Goes

I have a few things to do around the house, but I want to finish these and the monster cards from yesterday.  So I will be back.  Chat with you later.
