Imagine That

Hello.  I tell myself every month that I am going to get my Imagine That monthly challenge card done early.  Well, here I sit putting the finishing touches on my card.  I cut and colored it over two weeks ago, but I never put the card together.

I think this kitty is adorable and I made the flowers into daisies and I love daisies.

I am going to enter this card into the following challenges:
   Imagine That - Monthly Challenge
   Creative Card Crew - Animals
Polka Doodle - Spring Is In The Air
Craftin Desert Divas - Anything Goes

I hope you have a great night.

Action Wobbles

Hello everyone.  I hope you are having a great day.

I have been trying to win a challenge at Action Wobbles for some time.  I just love the little wobbles.  Today, I finally won one.  It made my day.  Now to come up with something to add a wobble to with a Spring theme.

Repeat Impressions

Hello again.  I haven't played with my Repeat Impressions' stamps in a while and I am in Spring mood.  I have several flower stamps so I pulled them and this is what I came up with.  I am sure you will see a few more of the flowers later.

I think I am going to use this card for my next OWH box.  I am behind.  I need to get some more made so I can get the box in the mail.

The Designer's Choice Challenge over at Repeat Impressions is Flower Show.  I will be using this card for that challenge.

I need to finish up some projects that are sitting on my desk, so I probably won't have anything else new today.  Plus my husband just called and he is on his way home from work, so it is time to cook dinner.  See all of you later.

Bunny Shaped Card

Hello. Miss Kate Cuttables.  I just had to make my own.  This is alittle different.  I didn't want to copy it completely.  Thank you for such a great idea.
I saw a similar card on

I added an Action Wobble to the egg.  Instead of a solid brown paper for the chocolate bunny, I used a marble background paper.  I really like how he came out.

I will be entering the card in the following challenges:
   Action Wobble - Shaped Card
   Silhouette Online - Anything Goes
   Eureka - No Square Cards
   Tuesday Throwdown - Dimension

Have a great afternoon.

Jelly Beans

Hello.  Happy Monday.  I hope everyone had a great day.

I haven't had a lot of time to stamp but I took a few minutes tonight to make a couple of cards.  This is the first one.

I just love the Birdbrain digitals images from 'From The Heart'  The fat little bird is just so cute.  I should have made the image a little bigger but I was afraid if I did, you wouldn't be able to see the sparkly jelly beans in the background.

One of the first things I do when the Easter candy hits the store is buy some jelly beans.  I always have to try the different brands.  I want to find the best ones for the Easter baskets.  I thought about adding some crystal lacquer on the beans but I was afraid it would be too much.

I am going to enter this card into the following challenges.
Curtain Call - Farm Fresh (the mason jar)
Scrappy Mom - Glitter (the jelly beans in the background)
Die Cuttin Divas - Snacks (jelly beans)
My Craft Spot by Kimberly - Anything Goes

Have a great night.  I might or might not be back later.

Just Playing Around

Tonight I have just been playing around with my Imagine That digis and some sketches from OWH.  I love the sketches at OWH.  They have the measurements so you don't have to guess.  I also had a couple of Imagine That digis printed and ready to play with, so why not combine the two.

The first image was Sweet Deer.  I like hiding cards for my husband and I thought this would make a sweet card.  My son in college is also getting one. I used sketch #216.  I textured the final layer.   I think both will like the deers.

Well, it is extremely late and I am off to get some rest.  See you in a few hours.

Cut It Up

Good morning.  I hope everyone is ready for the weekend.

It is time for another Cut It Up challenge.  This one is Anything Goes.  It will be so much for to see what everyone comes up with.  It is being sponsored by Bug Bites.

Even though there is still snow on the ground and it is still somewhat cold, I am ready for spring.  It can't come soon enough.

I don't know when I purchased the flower shaped card from Silhouette Online, but I saw it and knew it was time to cut it out.  It is too small for a not inside but it will be great for a quick hello.

I hope to see you over at Cut It Up for the new challenge.  Have a great weekend.

Meljen's Designs & more

Hello.  I am behind on post.  It is only 10 days before the month ends and I only have 13 post.  Hopefully I will have some time to play this weekend.

Today, I am working on Meljen's Designs' Lucky You challenge.  I had fun making St. Patrick's Day cards this year.  I didn't get them all mailed but it was so much fun.  Next year, I will be ahead of the game.

I am using the Sketch Saturday sketch #301 for this card.  The long strip was suppose to have rounded corners, but I have misplaced my rounder.  I have been looking for it for a couple of weeks.  I may just buy a new one.  Then I have no green buttons.  I found this dark green, but I was really wanting green green.  Oh well, it works.  When I put the
twine in the button I used three pieces so it would look fuller.  I was afraid one piece wouldn't look right.

I really like the card.  I love the cupcakes in Meljen's collection.

I am using this card in the following challenges:
   Meljen's Designs - Lucky You
   Trendy Twine - Good Luck
   Glitter N Sparkle - Green/St. Patrick's
   Creative Cutting - Anything Goes
   Sketch Saturday - Sketch 301
Craftin Desert Divas - Buttons, Ribbon, Twine or Brads

Have a great evening.

St. Patrick's Day

Happy St. Patrick's Day.  I am not Irish but I always wear green.  The elementary age kids like to see us all dressed for the various holidays.

My sister and I do alot of our card making together on skype.  So our cards are usually similar.  However, today in the mail, I got this cute leprechaun.  He is just so adorable.  Thanks Connie for thinking of me.

I don't know if I will get anything made today since I will be out of town overnight.  I want to get some things cut that I can take with me.  We will see.

Bunny with carrot

Hello.  A few weeks ago, I found SVG Cutting Files.  They have some really cute cutting files.  I purchased a couple of things and I have only made the dumbbell candy holder.  Then this week, I discovered they had a blog and a challenge.

I will spend quite some time looking around the blog, but in the meantime, I wanted to make sure to enter the challenge.  The theme is 'Spring'.  One of the things I purchased was the  bunny shaped, and it is perfect for the challenge.

He is just so cute.  The only thing I am going to do differently on the others, will be to put a foam dot behind his nose, so it will stand out a little more.

I am off to make a few more and enter this in the SVG Cutting Files Spring challenge.

Hello from snowy Michigan

Hello.  Well, we had another day off from work (I work at the local school).  We got about 8-10 inches of snow last night.  Hopefully it will be the last one of the year.

I was hoping to have lots of playtime today, but instead I worked on some projects around the house.  That is okay.  I really needed to get some of these other projects done.

I did get my sketch from OWH.  I just love their sketches.  They give you the measurements for all the pieces.  That makes it so much easier.  No guessing.

Here is sketch #215.  I thought my new Denami Designs' stamps would be great for this card.  I used the little chickie in the pot on the inside of the card.  I like it when I take the time to continue the theme on the inside of the card.

I am going to use this card for the following challenges
Little Tangles - Inside the Card
Craft Spot by Kimberly - Cute Critters

I will hopefully be back with some thing else later.

Black & White and one other color

Hello.  I am not real good at black and white cards.   But the challenge at Repeat Impressions is Black and White and one other color.  I immediately thought of St. Patrick's Day and these cute little cats from Silhouette Online.

I sized down the cat and grass so it would fit the whole length of my card.  Then I cut a black scalloped edge.  Then I added green ribbon the top and bottom.  It is a good CAS card and it was quick to put together.

I am going to use the card in the following challenges:
Repeat Impressions - Black, White and One Other Color
Silhouette Challenges - Create a Scene
   Get Inky - Green/St. Patrick's Day

Hopefully I will be back later with some thing else.

Paper Shelter & Bees

Hello again.  I am getting into the Spring mood.  To bad the weather won't agree with me.  We are expecting snow tomorrow night and Wednesday.  We could get up to 6 inches.  I love snow but I am ready for the winter to end.

In order to bring some sunshine into my craft room, I decided to make this yellow bee hive.  I used the Bee Bear from The Paper Shelter and the little flower is from Imagine That.   I should have made the bear a little bear. Next time.

I am going to enter this card into the following challenges:
The Paper Shelter - Anything Goes
Glitter N Sparkle - Anything Goes
Love To Create - Anything Goes

It is late so I am finished for the night.  Have a good one wherever you are.

Incy Wincy Designs

Hello.  It is time for another challenge at Incy Wincy Designs.  It is a great one.  I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with.

The theme is 'Black and White and one other color'.  It is being sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps.  The winner will get 7 digital stamps.  Yes, I did type 7 digital stamps.  Isn't that a great deal?

I went outside the normal box.  Instead of my primary colors being black and white, I made my main color green and used shades of black and white.  I thought this digital stamp (Edward St Pat Circle) by Bugaboo, looked really good in the middle of the swing card.

I hope to see all of you over at Incy Wincy Designs.  Good luck.

From The Heart

Hello.  I hope everyone is ready for a great weekend.

Today, I decided to go ahead and make a card using From The Heart's Monthly stamp.  You had two choices.  Hamlet the pig with a clover or a butterfly.  I wanted to play with both, but decided to do the clover one first since St. Patrick's Day is a little over a week away.

The Sketch #56 was perfect for the piglet.  I like using circles in the corner  of a card.  I stuck with different shades of green.  I added the clover ribbon and a clover gem.

I am going to use this card for the following challenges:
From the Heart - Sketch 56
From the Heart - Monthly Stamp Challenge
Creative Cutting - St. Patrick's Day
Scrappy Mom - Green & Gold (The gold is in the paper)

I hopefully will be back later with some thing else.

Cut It Up

It is time for another Challenge at Cut It Up Challenges.  The theme, this time, is Green.  It can be Spring, St. Patrick's Day, or just some thing with lots of Green.  The sponsor is As Cute as a Button.

I am so ready for Spring.  It is time to get rid of all of the snow.

I made a St. Patrick's Day card.  I layered it with two shades of green and then the white layer is textured with a embossing folder.  I wrapped some green and white twine around the white and then put my clover on top of that.

I hope to see you over at Cut It Up Challenges.

Have a great day and weekend.

Just for fun

Hello everyone.  Earlier this week, Lori Whitlock posted the cutting files on Silhouette Online for the new box card pattern.  I have been wanting to make some of these.  I decided to try the Easter box.  These are so much fun to make.  I will be doing several more of these.  I will probably space them out so I don't get tired of the pattern.

The pattern is smaller than I originally thought but after playing with it.  I can see lots of possibilities.  The little chickie with the flower is by Denami Designs.

Have a great evening.

The Paper Shelter

Good afternoon.  I hope everyone is having a super day.  It is still extremely cold here, but if you stand at the window and look out, it is nice and sunny.

This sleeping elephant has been on my craft table since right after Christmas.  I finally took the time yesterday to color him.  Today, I put the card together.  I just love the little boy sleeping on top of the elephant.

I discovered 'The Paper Shelter' the week before Christmas.  They have so many adorable digital stamps.  I just need to find the time to play with them.  I am going to use this card in the 'Animal Magic' challenge.  I think this is the first time, I have gotten a card made for one of their challenges.  Hopefully I will find some extra time to play with more of their products.

See you later....

Babies, again

Hello.  Two more baby cards and I am finished with them for a while.

The first one is the rocking horse card.  I didn't like the card as much because it was welded together at the bottom of the rocker.  So you can't even set it up on a table.  I picked a darker paper and I think it would have been better with a pale blue or brown.

The second card is a blue onesie with a small truck on the front.  This card is just adorable.  I did change the pattern a little bit.  The card was much too big for me.  I like standard A2 size.  So I decreased the size and then  duplicated, flipped
and welded two together.  Instead of cutting two pieces and gluing them together.

Now I just need to buy the gifts for the baby showers.

Hopefully I will be back later with some more new projects.  Have a great sunny afternoon.

Favorites of the Month

Once again, it is time to look back at the past month.  I had 29 post this month.  I was shocked when I noticed this.   I thought I had at least one slow week, but I obviously made up for the slow times.

I did some challenges.  Not as many as I was doing.  I think it is time to re-evaluate and decide how many challenges I want to do.  I was picked as a winner in to challenges and picked for the top 3 in another challenge.  I will continue to do challenges.   They inspire me to stamp outside the box at times, and I need that.  I tend to make similar cards without the challenges.

Picking my 5 favorite cards, this month, is almost impossible.

I hope the coming month brings some warmer weather.  It will be a little early for spring but I hope we get some signs that it isn't too far away.

Enjoy your weekend.
