Alabama House

Hello and Happy New Year's Day.  As you know if you come by my blog often.  My family is a huge Alabama fan.  The championship games start today.  Alabama is
playing Michigan State which is strange since we leave in Michigan.  A lot of our friends will be cheering for Michigan State.  Oh well.

I have had this house sitting on my craft table for a while.  I finally sat down and finished it.  This one is for my son.  I have another one on my desk, but it needs to be painted before I decorate it.  I may work on it tonight during the game.  It will go into the spare bedroom which if my Alabama room.

It was so much fun to put together.  Have a great day.

Snowman

Hello.  Just a quick post.  I need to enter this card real quick in a challenge.

I thought this snowman over on the Silhouette Online store was so cute, I just had to make him into a card.  My sister is going to be so upset that I made him without her.  She was going to play but then some thing came up and she had to leave.  I started without her.

I had the hat band and glasses out of red glittery paper.  He is just too cute.  I don't know if I will save him for next Christmas or use him as a Winter card.

I am using this card in the following challenges:
Crafting From The Heart - Anything Goes #92
Crafty Creations - Anything Goes #305
Crafty Gals - Anything Goes #52
   Cupcake Inspiration - Snowman #340
   Give a Crafter A Cookie - Snowman
Glitter N Sparkle - Glittery Sparkly Christmas

Have a great evening.

From The Heart

Good afternoon.  Time to get back into the swing of things.  I am working on a few challenges.  The first one I picked was From The Heart.  I just love their Progressive challenge.

This month, it was a Christmas image so I will have a card or two down for next year.  The image is called So Joyful and it a cute little bear with a stack of presents.  I printed the image larger so it will cover most of the card.  I added the sentiment 'Merriest Wishes' from Momenta.  Then I added three perler beads on the bottom of the  card.    And that was it.

I am using it in the following challenges:
From The Heart - Progressive Challenge
   613 Ave Create - Anything Goes #156
Gem of a Challenge - Anything Christmas
   Brown Sugar - Christmas
Through The Craft Room Door - Anything Goes
   Crazy Hazelnut's - Patterned Paper

That is it for now.  Chat with you later.

Christmas Gift Tags

Hello.  This evening I worked on more gift tags.  I should be all set for Christmas 2016.  But who knows I may make more later.  There are just so many cute tags out there.  All of these can be found in the Silhouette Online store.

Have a great night and I will chat with you sometime Monday.

Christmas is Over

Hello.  I can't believe I didn't post anything during the month of December.  Sorry about that.  Now that Christmas is over, I am hoping to get back in the swing of things.  My sister and I really want to get back to making things.  Hopefully tomorrow, we will both have a couple of hours.

I worked on updating my challenge list last night so I will be making some cards for those and I want to finish up some unfinished projects.  I think every Sunday, I am going to try to work on holiday projects.  The first few will be Christmas and then I will move on to Valentines.  Hopefully, this will help me get some things done.

As I said, I am working on Christmas,  this year, I had all of my gift tags made in advance and it was wonderful.  So I want to restock for next year.  Today, I decided to use some stickers left over from my planner and some tags I had forever.  I also pulled out some of my washi tape.  Nothing fancy, but these are done.

Chat with all of you later.  Have a great day.

Leaves, Leaves and more Leaves

Hello again.

If you come to my blog regularly, you know I love the trio cards on Silhouette Online.  I purchased the leaves weeks ago.  I finally sat down and made a card.   The leaves took up most of the space and that is ok.  I don't like a lot of empty space.

I am using the card in the following challenges:
   Pile It On - Leaves
   Wednesday's Inspiration - Anything Goes
Word Art Wednesday - Anything Goes
   Crazy Hazelnut's - Anything Goes
Hiding In My Craft Room - Anything Goes

Off to clean up my desk and table now.

Pumpkins

Hello.  I didn't make it home for lunch and when I got home I watched the Alabama football game.  GO BAMA.  Now it is playtime.

The first thing, I wanted to work on was the Stella Sketch at Catch The Bug.  I haven't done one of their challenges in a while.  I always enjoy the sketches.  Since I was still in Alabama mood, I grabbed one of the Fall elephant images off of my table and colored it up.  You can't tell from the picture but I cut out an extra middle pumpkin and top sunflower, added some foam tape and 3Ded them.

Instead of orange gems on the top corner, I used clear ones.  I thought I had enough orange on it.

I am using it in the following challenges:
Catch The Bug - Sketch #317
   City Crafter - Die It
Through The Craft Room Door - Anything Goes
Inspiration Destination - Anything Goes #59

Off to play some more.  Chat with you later.

Thanksgiving Turkey

Hello.  I have been working on my Thanksgiving cards.  I still need to send out some cards.  I am hoping to work on that this evening during the Alabama football game.

I just loved this card from the Silhouette Online.  It is by Lori Whitlock.  I just love her patterns.  She has added a picture of the card and suggested colors for each cut.  It makes the card much easier to put together.

It was originally set up as a traditional card but I decided to just put my message in the slide portion.  There won't be a lot of space but it will work.  I added goggly eyes and the the leaves at the bottom corner.

It is hard to tell but the pull out tag was embossed with my dots texture folder.  I don't like a lot of empty space so I thought the dots would help.  I also used hemp cord was by string.

The Let's Talk Turkey stamp is from a $1 set that I found up by the  register at JoAnn's ETC.

I am using this card in the following challenges:
Ave 613 Create - Anything Goes
Craft Your Passion - Anything Goes
Crafting From The Heart - Anything Goes
   Cupcake Inspiration - Tags #335
   Crafty Gals - Thankful

I am off to get ready for work.  I will try to post another card during my lunch.  Have a great morning.

Thanksgiving Turkey

Hello again.

I just love Thanksgiving.  It is one of my favorite times of the year.  It starts with Halloween, then Thanksgiving and ends with Christmas.  It is just a great time of the year.  Lots of family and friends.

I have tried the shadow cards a couple of time and I just wasn't sure.  So when my sister wanted to try this card, I was so sure.  But it came out great.  I just love it.  Now a question for you, the frame on the top layer, is it a pattern paper?  No, it isn't.  It was white and I distressed it.  I think it came out great.

I am going to use it in the following challenges:
   Crafty Gals - Autumn Hues
   Crafty Creations - Colourful
   Inspiration Destination - Anything Goes
Paper Shelter - Layer On Layer
   Simon Says Wednesday - Thanksgiving
Word Art Wednesday - Anything Goes
ABC Challenge - U is Unlimited

Off to clean off my craft table and desk.  Talk to all of you tomorrow.

Quick One

Hello.  How is everyone?  I am determined to get some cards made this week.

Tonight I made a quick one.  I love the how simple it is.  Plus it has glitter and a gem.

   Clear It Out - Christmas
Curtain Call - Plush & Plaid
   Fab N Funky - Dies and/or Punches

Fall

Hello again.  Now for the cards I made today.  I got several cards done.  I don't know if I will get them all posted tonight or not.

The first one is the swirly leaf card from Silhouette Online.  I cut the leaf out of white and then used my Memento teardrops and colored the leaf with several colors.  I really like how it came out.  After that I left the card simple so the leaf would be the highlight.

I am using it for the following challenges:
   Crafty Gals - Anything Goes
Through The Craft Room Door - Anything Goes
613 Ave Create - Anything Goes

Back in a bit.  Well, actually I think I will post the other cards tomorrow.  I need to finish up and get to bed.  It is a work day tomorrow.

One Last Halloween

Hello everyone.  I had today off and I spent it getting a few things done around the house.  But I did find some craft time.  So I have some cards to show you.

I actually made this one right before Halloween and I didn't have time to post it.  This was such a cute card.  I really like it.  The card is from Silhouette Online.

I am using it in the following challenges:
   Die Cuttin' Divas - Halloween
   Fan-Tastic Tuesday - Halloween
Tuesday Throwdown - Too Cute To Spook
City Crafter - Creatures of the Dark
Gem of a Challenge - Too Cute To Spook

I don't think I will be making any more Halloween cards even though I have a few more Halloween challenges.  We will see.  Have a great night.

Pumpkins

Hello.   One of my favorite things about Fall is pumpkins.  I like color them and decorating with them.   I also like pumpkin candles, and food with pumpkins.  Just not pumpkin spice coffee.

This is one of my favorite Fall images from Bugaboo.  I have made it big and small.  I just like the flower with the pumpkin.   The Happy Thanksgiving is by My Craft Spot.  (Her shop is closed and I sure do miss her.)

Hiding In My Craft Room's challenge is your favorite cutting machine.  That would definitely be my Silhouette.  However, I love my Big Shot, too.  Even though, the Silhouette will cut just about any thing, I still try to use my dies in my Big Shot.  Plus I just have to use my embossing folders.

I am using the card in the following challenges:
   Catch The Bug - Bingo
Hiding In My Craft Room - Fav Cutting Machine
613 Ave Create - Anything Goes
   Curtain Call - Cute Pumpkins
Craft Your Passion - Anything Goes #284
Crafting From The Heart - Anything Goes #82
Tuesday Morning Sketches - Sketch #323

That is for tonight.  Have a good one.

Flying Birdbrain

Hello.  How is every one today?  I have just one quick card for you tonight.  Hopefully I will have more tomorrow.

I really wanted to do the sketch at From The Heart.  I just love their sketches and I thought this one would be great.  Once I went to do it, my mind was  blank.  I didn't want my card to be white because of the white border around my image.  So I went with black.I looks okay but I feel like there is a lot of blank space.  I may change it up later.

I am using it in the following challenges:
From The Heart - Sketch #122
   A Gem of a Challenge - Spots and/or Stripes
CAS on Sunday - Washi Tape
Jo's Scrap Shack - Anything Goes

Chat with all of you tomorrow.  Have a good one.

Halloween Cutie

Hello.  I am trying to get back in my craft room.  I really need to work on some Halloween cards, plus I have some non-card projects I want to work on.

I still don't have my challenge list completely up-to-date.  Maybe tonight.  I did see that  Catch the Bug's sketch ends tonight so I decided to use one of their cute Halloween images.  Is this Brat just so cute?

I am going to use it in the following challenges:
Catch The Bug - Sketch #315
Through The Craft Room Door - Anything Goes
Catch The Bug - An Oldie But A Goodie
Di's Digital - Too Cute To Spook
   Artistic Inspiration - Halloween

Well I am off to see if I can find any thing else to work on.  Have a good night.

Halloween Window

Hello.  It is hard to believe I haven't posted anything in a month.  First, I was sick and then I just didn't feel like making anything.   Hopefully that is changing.  My challenge list is no where close to up to date but I do have some of it done.

This Halloween window is a Miss Kate Cutables file.  I knew when I saw it, that I was making a card out of it.  The first one was with an orange background.  Then I cut the next two with yellow.  I like the yellow much better.

I am using it in the the following challenges:
613 Ave Create - Anything Goes
Craft Your Passion - Anything Goes
Crafting From The Heart - Anything Goes
   Dream Valley - Halloween
   Crafty Calendar - Halloween

I don't know what I am doing next so I may or may not see you again tonight.  Have a good one.

Whimsie Doodles

Hello.  How is everyone doing this morning?

I have been Guest Designing over at Whimsie Doodles.  It has been so much fun.  I am here early this morning to help introduce this month's challenge.   It will be a fun one.  It is a color challenge.  I just love the colors.

What do you think of when you see these colors?  I thought Halloween.  So I just had to use 'The Skinny Witch Flying'.  I cut out an extra hat so I could 3D it.  Then I added little giggly eyes to the spider.  The white ribbon in the background has all kinds of Halloween words in different colors.  Then I added 3 of my perler beads. (One of my projects for today is to make some Halloween colors.)

I hope you enjoy the card.  Make sure you go over to Whimsie Doodles and enter the challenge.

Have a great day.

Happy Saturday

Hello and Happy Saturday.  My computer is giving me problems so I hope I get this done before it crashes on me since one of the challenges end in a few minutes.

I am guest hosting at Whimsie Doodles so I have a bunch of images printed out to use.  The yellow almost makes this spring looking but I love this little girl.  The background is a new texture folder that I picked up a couple of weeks ago.  I really like the doodle look of it.

It is a nice fall day here, so even though, I have a cold, all the windows are open.  So when I took this picture, I had to close some of the blinds so it wasn't so bright in here.

I am using this card in the following challenges:
ABC Challenges - Queen of Hearts
Crafting From The Heart - Anything Goes #76
Crafting When You Can - Anything Goes
Simon Says Monday - Stamp & Die
   City Crafter - Feeling Flat
613 Ave Create - Anything Goes

Chat soon.  With all of my projects, I should be back with some thing soon.

Birthday Elephant #1

Hello.  Today was the first day back to work.  It was a busy day.  Just nine months until summer vacation.  Just kidding.  I loved having the summer off but it is nice to be back.  It is always fun to see the changes in the kids.

My son's birthday is coming up.  I think I am going to see how many elephant cards I can make him.  He will probably roll his eyes when he starts receiving them, but he will get over it.  I have 6 Bugaboo elephants alone, plus I have 3 more in my shopping cart.  This is going to be so much fun.  I think I will start mailing them out around the 15th.  That will give me 10 days.  So keep watch to see how many I get done.

This is the first one.  I just love this elephant from Bugaboo.  They have several Edward Elephants and you will probably see more of them.  I did it in red.  It is my son's favorite color and red and white is the colors for the University of Alabama.

I am using it in the following challenges:
Little Miss Muffet - For The Boys
   Inspiration Destination - Anything Goes
Jo's Scrap Shack - Anything Goes
   Sketch Saturday - Sketch #377
Through The Craftroom Door - Favorite Team Colors

Have a great night.

Imagine That by Kris

Hello.  I got a phone call last night and by the time, I finished this card, I was ready for bed.  Not that I went to sleep.  I read for a little while.

This is the new Digital of the Month at Imagine That.  I just love it.  There is a set of them.  This one, a fall one and a school one.  I just love them.  I didn't get the school one but I may have to go back and get it.  You will see the fall later this weekend.

I knew when I saw it, I wanted to make a step card and I wanted apples down the sides.  The paper comes with the set.  Just a great package.   I have missed the last couple of progressive challenges so I am so glad to have it finished.

It is colored with my copics and then I added Glossy Accents to all of the apples so they are shiny.  I haven't been listing my supplies at the bottom but I will try to get better at it.

I made an extra one so when I decorate my table by the door for Fall, I will have one for it.  I know that sounds odd, but some times I make a card and I just like it so much that I want to show it off and just enjoy it.

I am going to use it in the following challenges:
   Imagine That - Progressive
Marker Pop - Anything Goes #76
   613 Ave Create - Anything Goes #139
Fan-Tastic Tuesday - Make It Cute
   Penny's Challenges - Use A Sentiment
Simon Says Wednesday - Make It Colorful
