Imagine That

Hello once again.  Every month, I tell myself that I will do the Imagine That monthly challenge and every month, I am late doing this challenge.  I am determined to get the card done early in March.

By the way, Imagine That has changed their website.  I think it looks great.  Check it out if you haven't been over there lately.

Until then, here is my card for February.  I loved this image.  It is a great digital stamp for Valentine's Day, so even though it has passed, I made a Valentine's Day card.  I left the bear white so it could be a polar bear.  I wish I had some Liquid Applique but I am out and I am going to wait until next winter before I buy any so that it would dry out.

I used the sketch F1914 from Repeat Impressions for the card.

Have a great evening.

Birthdays

Hello.  It is hard to believe that today is the last day of February.

I needed some birthday treat boxes so I cut out some of the cupcake boxes.  You can find the cutting file at Silhouette Online.  When making cards and boxes, pink is my favorite go to color.

I had all of the cupcakes cut and put together.  I was ready to write my post and every thing when it dawned on me that I had a little Whimsie Doodle girl carrying flowers that would go with the cupcake.  So I went back to my Silhouette Cameo and printed and cut some of them.

Since I am still stuck on Action Wobblies, I added one to the back of the little girl.

I plan on using this box for the following challenges:
Whimsie Doodles - Anything But a Card
Little Miss Muffet - Anything Goes
   Tuesday Throwdown - Anything Goes
   Action Wobble - Birthday

I still need to make a card for Imagine That's monthly challenge, so I will be back in a little while with something else.

Have a great afternoon.
Yes, we are expecting more snow this weekend.

Action Wobbles

Good evening.  I have a little friend that has a birthday coming up.  I thought a action wobble card would be a great card for a little six year old boy.

I just love the birdbrain digital stamps from 'From The Heart'.  This image is the Stamp of the Month.  I printed it a little small but it looks good on this new rocker step card.

I have always liked the rocker cards (I know I make a lot of them) and when my sister showed me the rocker step card, I had to have the pattern.  I googled it and find the pattern on Paper Craft Kits.  It was my first time there and she has some great patterns.  I bought a few more to go with the rocker step card.

I am going to use this card in the following challenges:
   Little Miss Muffet - Birthdays
CMC Copic Challenge - Anything Goes
   Little Tangles - Monochromatic
   Digi Darla - Masculine
From The Heart - Stamp of the Month

Have a great night.  Hope to see you tomorrow.

Cut It Up

Hello again....I have had this snowflake card from Bird's cards opened on my computer for several days.  I really liked the way the snowflake is cut in half to open the card.

I didn't want to just have the snowflake so I decided to use this print and cut rabbit on the front and add an action wobble on the back of it.  The rabbit is from Silhouette Online.  I was surprised how well it printed.

The white snowflake is cut from glitter paper.  This is the first time I have used glitter paper on my Silhouette Cameo.  I wasn't sure what to put on the panel behind the snowflake so I ended up using my Stampin' Up snowflake wheel and stamping more snowflakes.

This is my card for the Cut It Up challenge.  It is late since I was having problems with my cutter.  The theme this week is 'Winter Fun; Blue and White'.  We have two wonderful sponsors, this week.  They are Fleurette Bloom and Joy's Life.  Great prizes so make sure you go over and enter a card/project.

I am also going to enter this card in the Action Wobbles challenge.  The theme is use a print and cut image.

I had meant to get more done today but it didn't work out.  Have a great evening.

Clear It Out

Hello.  It has been almost a week since I have posted any thing.  I just haven't been in the mood.  I am going to change that tonight.

In the meantime, I have a card to post.  I made this card and then forgot to post it.  It was one of my last valentines.    I purchased both the card and the inside from Silhouette Online.  The hearts on the front of the card are made with glitter paper.

The inside is just too cute.  I love the inside pop-up patterns but I don't normally use them because it makes the card thick and hard to fold.  This one didn't.  I am going to have to look and
see what else have in my library.

I am entering the card in the following challenges:
   Clear It Out - Red
   Repeat Impressions - Hearts
   Craftin Desert Divas - Glitter
Love To Create - Anything Goes

I hope you have a great afternoon.  I will hopefully be back later with something new.

Paper Shelter

Hello.  I love love love 'The Paper Shelter'.  Their images are so great and cute.  I discovered their site a couple of months ago and I can't get enough of their digital stamps.  Now I just need to find time to play with them.

I took a few minutes today to play with 'Just Me' .  She is so precious and I am going to use her as a 'Just Because' card. I used the sketch over at Repeat Impressions

I am going to finish coloring the extras I printed and I will try to get back later with something else.  Have a great afternoon.

Non - Traditional Valentines

Hello on a snowy evening.  We are once again getting snow.  They are predicting several inches and low visibility.

I know Valentine's Day has passed and I am slowing putting away my stamps and paper, but I do have a few challenges to enter.  Die Cutting Divas is one of them.  Their theme was non - traditional valentines. I normally always do pink and red valentines.

I decided today to cut the Valentine Gate Fold card.  I thought I could cut it out of black and white and get a really classy look.  And I was right.  I love this card.  I think I am going to cut a few in black and white and some in blue and white.  Also this card cut beautifully.  I am always worried about the delicate cards.

I am off to cut a few more of these.  I think they would be great cards for the Operation Write Back program.

Have a great night.  Stay warm in you are in the winter weather.

Incy Wincy Designs

It is time for another Incy Wincy Designs' challenge.  This week, I had a hard time coming up with some that would work.  It is a photo inspired challenge.  Just wait until you see the photo.

Here is the photo:

The sponsor, this week, is Delicious Doodles.  The winner will win 4 digis of their choice.

You can interrupt the photo any way you like.  I used some of the colors. The orange, blue, and browns.   I think the pattern paper hits on several of the colors.

I cut the image using the print and cut feature on my Silhouette Cameo, but for some unknown reason it didn't cut correctly, so I had to do it by hand.  I could only save two of the images, so I don't know if I will just scrape them and start over or cut the other image by hand.
It is hard to tell from the picture but I colored the flowers a pale blue.  I don't know if I am going to add a sentiment at the bottom.  I will have to think about it.

I think there is just so many options for this digital stamp.  I will be playing with it again soon.   I hope to see you over at Incy Wincy Designs.

Have a great Monday.

Yes, it says 'Let It Snow'.  I don't mind the snow, it
is the cold temperatures that I hate.

Denami

Hello.  I hope everyone has had a great weekend.

I had today off and my husband had to work so the house was all quiet.  I had meant to get some stamping done, but instead, I cleaned.  I put my Valentine's Day stamps away.  I also pulled out my St. Patty's Day and Easter stamps.  I have some I really want to play with.  Hopefully over the next few weeks, I will have time.

The first company I went to was Denami Designs.  I love the little chickies.  I have so many of them.  I really want to use them more often.  To that end, I started with the St. Paddy's Day stamps.  I have two right now, but there are two new ones I want and they are on sale until Tuesday.  I can see an order in my future.

I need to do the From The Heart Sketch #53 so I thought the big St. Patrick's Day stamp would be perfect because it is a bigger stamp.  In fact, it is too big.  In order, to use it for the sketch I turned the card long ways.  The sentiment is under the chickies so I didn't add one at the ribbon.

I stamped and cut out one of the butterflies and a couple of the clovers.  I didn't do it before I took the picture but I want to add some glitter to the clickies.

That is it for now, but I might be back later with another card.   If not, have a great night.

Action Wobbles

I have fallen in love with action wobbles.  I bought some over a year ago and never used them.  I finally used them last month and now I love them.

My husband is an electrician so I decided to use this light bulb for one of his Valentines.  I put the wobble behind the heart.  I loved how it came out.

I am going to use it in the Action Wobbles Manly Challenge and QKR Stampede's Heart and Kisses challenge.

That is it for tonight.  Have a great night.

Hearts

Hello.  I don't really need anymore Valentine's cards, but yet I am still making them.  I think my wonderful husband will be getting a card every day this week.  Why not?

I saw this card today on the new designs on Silhouette Online.  I just loved it, so I had to cut it.  It will be my husband's  card tomorrow.

I am using this card in the following challenges:
   Catch The Bug - Love
Eureka - Love Is In The Air
Love To Create - Color Challenge (Red & Pink)
Clear It Out - Love Is In The Air
   Little Tangles - Celebrate Love
   Get Inky - Valentines/Love

I will be back in a little while with another card.

Incy Wincy Designs

Hello.  Good Monday Morning.

It is time for another Incy Wincy Designs' challenge.  The challenge this week is Sassy and Sexy.  We have two wonderful sponsors this week.  Sponsor #1 is My Creative Classroom and sponsor #2 is Sassy Studio Designs.  Please take a moment to look through their sites.

I used a digital image from Sassy Studio Designs for my card.  The image was called ' smurfette' so I just had to make her dress blue.  I added a blue flower with a pearl in the  center with a Thinking of you sentiment.

I also did something that I don't normal do on a Incy Wincy Designs' challenge day.   I used a sketch challenge.  It is from Tuesday Throwdown

I hope everyone has a great Monday and I look forward to seeing you over at Incy Wincy Designs.

Valentine Motherboard

Hello again.

We are all computer geeks in this house.  Some more than others.  I decided to make this computer motherboard card for my son for Valentines.  I made two versions of it.  One with a heart on the USB stick and the other with an Alabama 'A'.  We are all Alabama fans, too.

I think he will be surprised when he gets it.

I am going to use it for the Glitter N Sparkle's Valentine add some red.  It has a little bit more than some red but it should work.

Curtain Call

When I saw the challenge at Curtain Call (cuppa Cocoa), I had a couple of ideas come to mind.  I had wanted to make this cocoa holder at Christmas and I never did find the time, so I made him today.  I added a heart to the cup so it wouldn't looks so Christmasy.

The cutting file is from KaDoodle Bug Design.  I wish I had a different face for the penguin but this was all that I had.  Time to go shopping at Peachy Keen.

Off to work on something else.  Be back in a little while.

From The Heart

Hello.  Happy Sunday.  I am off today so I want to get some challenges done and some general playing.  Some where during the day, I need to finish the laundry and clean the kitchen.

I started the day off with the i{heart} sketch at From The Heart.  From The Heart is quickly becoming one of my favorite digital companies.  They just came out with some new images and there are several that I can't wait to play with.  Check them out if you haven't all ready.

This sketch was an easy one.  The hardest part is picking two matching pattern papers.  I always have trouble doing that.  I added the red layer to bring out the red hearts.  The image is 'Heart Strings' from Whimsie Doodles.

Off to put more clothes in the washer.  Be back in a little bit with another challenge.

Glitter N Sparkle

I got an email this morning from Trisha at Glitter N Sparkle.  I was one of the winner this winner.  I was shocked.  It is chosen by random draw so thank to the generator for picking my number.

This is the card that I entered.  I know you have already seen it but just in case you missed it.

Have a great day.

Cut It Up

It is that time again.  Time for another Cut It Up Challenge.  This week's theme is Valentine's Day.  It is sponsored by Cute as a Button.

I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with.  I saw this  cutting file on Bird's Cards.  I just knew I was going to cut it and make a card or two.  Every thing cut so well.  I usually have trouble cutting words, but no this time.

I hope to see all of you over at Cut It Up.

More Hearts

One more for tonight and then I am going to watch a little bit of the Olympics before I head to bed.  I am combining some more challenges.  And using one of my favorite digital stamp companies.

First the image, it is Heart Strings from Whimsie Doodles.  She is so sweet and I love the string of hearts.  For some unknown reason, I am using a lot of red and pink.  Hopefully, it won't last after Valentines, but who knows.

I did something new on this card.  Several weeks ago, Silhouette Online had a pattern as the free shape of the week.  I saved it and finally played with it.  I had heard that the pattern print really good on vellum, so that is what I tried.  The red layer with the hearts is a printed pattern.  I don't know if I will use this a lot, but I did like the option of making my own paper squares.

I will be using this card in the following challenges:
   Sketch Saturday - Sketch #295
   Silhouette Online - New Technique
   CMC Copic Challenge - Girly

Have a good night.  See you tomorrow.

Dumbbells

While surfing the web today, I ran across these dumbbells.  They are simple but I thought they would make a cute candy box for my son.  I always have several things sitting on his desk when he comes home from college.  I have been so busy that I haven't made him anything lately.  I guess it is a good thing he won't be home for another 4 weeks.

The cutting files was from SVG Cutting Files.  I made a red one (for Alabama) for my son and a black one for his high school coach, who started him out in the weight room.  It is a good thing, that I work at the school, I will be able to give it to the Coach tomorrow.

I looked for a weight lifter digital stamp, but I couldn't find one that would work.  If anyone knows of a digital weight lifter, please let me know.  I can always go back and add one to my son's later.

Off to work on something else.  Chat with you later.

Birthdays

Hello.  I hope everyone is having a great Thursday.

One of my closest friend's son is turning 16 in a couple of months.  I decided to use the number challenge at Sweet N Sassy to make him a card.  I also have a list of Meljen Designs' that I want to play with and this little Topsy Turvy Birthday Cake was on it.  So I combined them.  Then I also used the sketch from Chocolate, Coffee & Cards. I like it when several thoughts combine into one card.

I knew I wanted the card to be blue so I pulled out my drawer of blue pattern paper.  These two were one of the first that I saw.  I was afraid the card would be too full but I think it came out really good.  The sketch didn't have a button on it but I added it.

I made the card base white.  I went through a phase where I always had a colored card base, but I am now back to using white again.

So here is a complete list of which challenges I will be entering:
   Chocolate Coffee Cards - Sketch
   Sweet N Sassy - Use a Number
   Glitter N Sparkle - Buttons
   Love to Create - Celebrations

Off to finish a few more of these cards.

Non-traditional Valentine

Hello yet again.  This will probably be the last time for tonight.

I am combining challenges.  I wanted to get Whimsie Doodles done.  I have a week before it is due but I wanted to make sure I had lots of time to work on it.  Whimsie Doodles is one of my favorite companies and I didn't want to be rushed.

The challenge at Whimsie Doodles is a sketch.  I wasn't sure what would work with it so I decided to use the 'Mini Valentines' digital.  I picked the cookie because I am going to also use the card for the My Craft Spot challenge.  The challenge at My Craft Spot is 'Valentines for Kids'.

I made the card normal size, but it will still work for the kids' challenge.  I am going to give it to one of the little girls that comes through my lunch line every day.  We try not to choose favorites, but she is just so sweet.  She comes in every day and gives me a hug.

The colors are not traditional but I added orange and green hearts so it has some thing that looks like Valentines.

Have a nice evening and hopefully, I will have some more time tomorrow to play.
