QKR Stampede - Cars, Trains & Planes

I decided to do one more challenge today.  I picked the QKR Stampede challenge.  The theme was Cars, Trains & Planes.  I really had to look for some thing.  I decided to use the frame train from Silhouette Online.  My Dad loves trains so I will be mailing the card to him as a 'Thinking of You' card.

I took the frame and made it into a strip instead of a frame.  I think it came out really well and I will use it again.  After I finished the strip, I stamped 'thinking of you' across the top and bottom.

I hope you have a great day.

Favorite Color & Doodling Challenges

Isn't this little rabbit the cutest thing?  My son is a runner.  He ran his first half marathon this summer.  As you can tell, I am extremely proud of him.  He has had a bad week, so I thought I would make him a card and put it in his room so he will find it.

Red is his favorite color so I used it on the card and it will work for the Whimsical Design's "Favorite Color" challenge.  I am also going to use this card on Meljen's Designs' challenge ("Doodling").

I hope everyone has a great week.

QKR Stampede - Top 5

I forgot to mention Friday that I made the Top 5 at the QKR Stampede's Fruity Fun Challenge.  Thank you so much for all of the great ladies over at QKR Stampede.

Husband's Birthday & Cut It Up Challenge

My husband's birthay is Thursday and I needed a card (at least one).  I decided I would work on one today and I decided on the Griller's apron card from Silhouette online.  It will also fit the Cut It Up Challenge

Instead of cutting out all of the pieces in the various cards, I cut the pieces out of white and then just colored them.  I will list the copic markers below.

I will probably make him at least one more card and some kind of box with candy.  I like to have some thing waiting for him in his lunch box and something on his computer desk when he comes home.  I will let you know what I come up with.

Have a great day.

Meljen's Designs - Mismatched Challenge

I went over to Meljen's Designs to see the winners for the Mismatched Challenge and I took third place.  I was once again shocked.  I love making cards but I do them because it is fun and relaxing.  When I win a challenge, I am always surprised.

That means a new digital stamp.  I know exactly which one I want.  It has been on my wish list for a while, but I wasn't sure if I would use it.   I am going to get the "Little Skunk".   When my son was little, I called him stink.  I still do call him that from time to time.  So I think the little skunk will make a great card for him.

Tuesday Throwdown - Toes in the Sand

I found another challenge to enter.  It is at Tuesday Throwdown.  The theme this week is "Toes in the Sand".  I still have several beach stamps I want to play with so I just had to make a card.

I used "Pearl's Castle" from Whimsie Doodles.  I purchased it last year and I haven't had time to make any thing with it.  It will be a digital stamp that I will use again.  I think he came out really good.

Have a great week.

Pink By Designs - Up, Up and Away Challenge

Pink By Designs and Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbons are running a challenge together for "Up, Up and Away".  I have been working at my part time job and I haven't had a lot of time to work on this challenge but this texture folder has been sitting on my craft table so I thought I would use it for the challenge.

I know this is a simple card but I liked how it came out.  I may change a few things on it when I get some time over the next few days.  In the meantime, I hope you enjoy the card.

Have a great weekend.

Silhouette Weekly Shape Challenge

The challenge this week was a moving project.  I thought an easel card would work out good for it.  I have had this stamp from Penny Black on my desk all summer.  I just haven't had time to play with it, so I took the time to put it on this easel card.  I just adore the colors.

I am also using this card over at Cameo Creations for their '2 Shades of Blue' challenge.

I hope everyone will have a great weekend.

Silhouette 101 - Early Fall/Halloween

I finished this card yesterday and didn't it posted.  Sorry about that.  I really like how it came out.

Once again, the card came from Maple Manor by SVG Cuts.  It was easy to put together.  I did change the faces.  I wanted them to be more Halloweeny that the ones that came on them.  That is the great thing about the Silhouette you can change things around before cutting them.  I also used all scrapes to make the card except the card base.

Have a great day everyone.

QKR Stampede - Fruity Fun

After SVG Cuts gave out the credits for the purse challenge, I bought the Maple Manor set.  Then I was over at Brigit's Scraps and she used the pumpkin card and turned it into a fruit card.  It was just so cute that I had to case the idea.  I love it when you can take one card and make two different ones.

While I have the pattern open on my computer, I am going to go ahead and make a pumpkin set so I will be ahead this fall.

I hope every one is having a great day.

Silhouette 101 - Bowling

My sister saw a similar card over on Pinterest and I just had to make one.  I have a good friend's son who is on the high school bowling team and one of my son's best friends loves to bowl, so I will have at least one card for one of their birthdays.

I used the "Bowling ball crashing into pins" from Silhouette Online.  The Happy Birthday stamp from Rubber Stampede.

I hope everyone has a great day.

Meljen's Designs - Mismatched Challenge

I missed the last challenge over at Meljen's, so I really wanted to make sure I got something done for this one.  The theme was 'Mismatched', Use patterned paper from two different manufacturers.  Well, that was easy for me.  I very seldom use paper from the same company.  All of my paper is divided by color and I just pick what goes together.

I have a nephew who is a state trooper.  He always knew that is what he wanted to do and he loves his job.  I am always looking for cop stamps.  The bear over at Meljens is one of my favorites.  I tried to make the colors to make his uniform.  He will be surprised when it hits his mailbox.

I hope everyone has a great week.

Silhouette 201 - Mallard Ducks

Last one for the night.  I needed a birthday card for my husband's uncle.  I thought the mallard ducks would make a great card.  This card came from the Picnic Park set from SVG Cuts

I hope everyone is enjoying the weekend.

Silhouette 101 - Beehive 'the buzz' card

My Dad and brother-in-law both raise bees so when my sister and I saw this card over at Silhouette Online, we just had to make some.  My sister is sending hers to my Dad and I will send my BIL the one I made.

They just came out so cute.  It is a lot of cutting but really easy to put together.

Have a great weekend.

QKR Stampede - Top 5

The last few days have been so busy that I haven't had a lot of time to stamp.  Hopefully I will get time tonight.  I did check out a few challenges and I found that I was picked for the Top 5 over on QKR Stampede.  I must say that it is an honor.  I love doing the challenges so to be picked for the Top 5 is special.  Thank you to the Design Team.

Silhouette 201 - BAMA Letters

Everyone in this house are huge University of Alabama fans.  My son's nickname is Bama.   My son always wants new Alabama decorations for his college apartment.  I originally made him a "B" gift box when he came home from college, just as a welcome home gift.  He liked it so much that he asked me to make the whole 'Bama'.  I have put it off and put it off.  I finally sat down and put it together.

I used the alphabet set from SVG Cuts.  It takes a while to put the boxes together but they are worth it.  I really like the way they come out.  You will see more of these.

He isn't home tonight.  He is out hanging with friends  I can't wait for him to see the finished project.  I know he will really like it.

This is probably it for tonight.  I will see online tomorrow.

Christmas In July

While I was playing around today, I decided to take the Christmas in July challenge and make at least one card for Christmas.  I pulled out my Memory Box dies. and my Stampin Up Snowflake texture folder and put this card together.

I may try to do a few more cards so I can get a head start.

The two challenges that I am using the card for are Whimsical Design and Cut It Up Challenge.

I have my 3D project finished, I just need to take some pictures of it.

Silhouette Weekly Shape Challenge - Circles

I got one more challenge done.  It is the Silhouette Weekly Shape Challenge.  This week, it was circles.  I had a lot that would qualify but I really wanted to play around with the 3 tag frame from Silhouette.  I also used the butterfly circles.

It is hard to tell from the picture but the white stripe has dots textured on it.

When I cut the first tag, I forgot to change the size so I ended up with one large tag.  Instead of throwing it away, I made a bookmark.  Some one in the family will get a extra surprise with their card.

I am working on another 3D project and I hope to be back later tonight with the finished project.  I hope you have a good evening.

QKR Stampede - Let's Go Fishing

The challenge this week over at QKR Stampede is 'Let's Go Fishing'.  I immediately thought of my Stamps by Judith stamps.  I have so many stubbies.  I need to use them more often.  Maybe I will leave my box of Stamps by Judith stamps near my stamp table so I can use a few of them.

Hope you have a good afternoon.

Cut It Up Challenges - Patriotic Challenge

I just went over to Cut It Up Challenges and I was picked as the top 3 for their patriotic challenge.  I am extremely honored.  Very cool....

Thank you for picking me.

Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbons - Get Well Challenge

Last night, I started this card.  It was a free kit from Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbons a couple of weeks ago.  I wasn't sure what I would do with it when I got it but I must say I had fun playing around with it.  I made six cards, I still need to finish two of them but I will have some get well cards ready when they are needed.

If you haven't been over to the Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbons site, you should check it out.  They have some great svgs kits.  Plus they are starting monthly challenges.  This month it is Get Well.

I hope everyone has a great weekend.

Whimsie Doodles - Summer Challenge

One of my favorite companies is Whimsie Doodles.  I wasn't sure about digital stamps when they first came out, but I fell in love with Whimsie Doodles.  I could easy buy all of their stamps.

I haven't been really good about posting regularly so I have been trying to enter more challenges as a way to motivate myself to post more.  Whimsie Doodles' challenges are always the first one I check.

Plus I sat down today and organized all of my digital stamps, so hopefully I will be able to find what I want to play with easier.  Which will mean I will have more time to stamp.

The challenge this month is 'Summer'.  Dig You Leah was just perfect for this.  I used one of Silhouette America's backgrounds (shovel pail background) as a back drop.  I really hope everyone likes what I have come up with.

I am also going to use the card for a challenge over at Crafty Cats Weekly Challenge.  Their theme this week as 'It's Child Play'.  I thought this would qualify as childs play.

Supplies:  Copic Markers; B00, B21, B23, E00, E31, E35, E50, E53, G00, G02, G07, R20, R22, R29, Y17, YR02, YR04, YR61

Silhouette Weekly Shape Challenge

The challenge this week over at Silhouette America was to make some with a 3D image.  One of the examples was a picture.  I really like this idea, so I went looking for a frame that I would like in my kitchen.  I have green and red apples in my kitchen.  I put one of each on my project.  I really liked how it came out.

I hope you like the project.

Patriotic Challenges

I had three more patriotic challenges I wanted to enter so I am using the same card.  The digital stamp is from Meljen's Designs.  I only made one card and then I cut the pieces for three more and I am going to put them in a ziplock so that when I want a patriotic card, all I will need to do is put them together.

The challenges are.....

     Meljen's Design - Patriotic
Little Scrap Pieces - Stars and Stripes
QKR Stampede - Rock the Red, White & Blue

I hope everyone had a great day.  It is rainy here so I hope some one is getting sunshine.

SVG Cuts - Luxury Handbag

I got an email from SVG Cuts today and they are having this challenge where they will give you this cutting file to make.  It is an adorable little purse.  If you make it and post it to their site, they will give you a gift card for $6.99. I just had to make one.

I made it into an Auburn University purse for my sister-in-law.  She will just love it.  So if any of my nieces see this, don't tell your Mom.

Repeat Impressions Again - WHAT IF? Wednesday ~ Sketch Challenge J2613

I decided to go ahead and make a card out of my ATC card and I like the Repeat Impressions' sketch challenge so much that I just used it to make the card.

If you would like the supply list just check the post below.

I am off to work on dinner.  Have a great evening.

Whimsical Designs - ATC Challenge

I am working on challenges today.  I have several I want to complete.  I just finished the Whimsical ATC Challenge.   Years ago, I made lots of ATC cards.  I haven't made one in years, so this was fun.  I will probably put it on a regular size card.  If so, I will post it for you.

I had this little rabbit sitting on my craft table, so I just picked him up.

Have a great day.

Supplies:  Stamps; Hero Arts Hello, Morning Star Bunny....Copic Markers; R00, R02

Repeat Impressions - WHAT IF? Wednesday ~ Sketch Challenge J2613

It is time for another Repeat Impressions' challenge.  I just so love seeing what everyone comes up with.  It was easier to look at my stamps since I have them all organized.

This little girl is just so cute.  I have been wanting to use her for some time.  I think I might change the card around on the next one.  I am thinking a pale pink card and white ribbon.  I don't know I may leave it as is.  I may change her hair to black so it doesn't blend into the hat.

I just realized that this would qualify for the DCC73 - Monochrome challenge so I will enter it over there too.

I hope everyone is having a good week.

Organizing

One of my goals for this summer is to organize my craft room better.  My stamps are in pretty good shape as far as organizing goes.  I do have a box of stamps pulled that I want to play with but I try to keep my shelves organized.

Years ago, I purchased several Iris Carts and I have my random stamps in them by catorgory (flowers, sayings, sports, animals, etc).  Then the companies I shop with regularly have their own boxes. That way, if I need to check to see if I have a stamp, I just pull that drawer/box.

One of the companies that I haven't organized is Repeat Impressions.  I discovered them a little over a year ago and their stamps I been sitting on my table because they are favorites.

This morning, I finally sat down and mounted all of them (well actually I have two left.  I ran out of cling foam) and put them in cases.  I used the cases from Stampin' Up.  I love these cases.  I am looking for some where to buy them in bulk.

They will probably still sit on my table but at least they will be in cases.

Have a great week everyone.

Silhouette 201 - Gift Box Riley

I played around with a tutorial from Lori Whitlock on how to put stitches around a card using the cameo.  It was a great tutorial and easy to follow.  Once I had the stitches done, I had  to find something to stamp in the middle of the card.  I picked my Gift Box Riley.  I needed some birthday cards.

I also did the card in blue with an extra layer but everyone like the red one best of all.

So I am ahead on birthday cards for a month or two.  Now I can go back to working on "Just Because" cards.

Have a great weekend.

Silhouette Weekly Shape Challenge

The challenge over at Silhouette Online was a flower.  I am not sure I like the card I made but it is finished.

I used one of my texture folders on the bottom left corner.  I cut three of the flowers and layered them.  I should have used three different shades of yellow but I didn't think about it until after I had finished the cutting.

I am also going to enter the Crafty Catz Weekly Challenge.

I hope everyone has a great evening.

I won!!!

I won the Pretty in Pink challenge over at Meljen's Designs.  I entered this at the last minute.  If you haven't shopped at Meljen's go over and check out the wonderful digital stamps.

Have a great day.

Meljens - A Charming Project Challenge

I really wasn't sure what I wanted to do for this challenge but I knew what digital stamp, I wanted to use.  It is probably more springy than summery but I really like how it came out.  I don't know if this is going to be a birthday card or a just because card.  I will decided later today.

I will be using the card for Meljen's challenge and QKR Stampede's Anything Goes challenge.

Have a great day.

Silhouette 101 - Uncle Sam's Hat

While I was playing with the "Made in USA" set from SVG Cuts, I made the uncle Sam's hat.  It was easy to put together and looks so cute on my mantle.  Once I get everything finished, I will take a picture of the completed mantle.

The hat was suppose to have a flower on it, but I left it off.  I like it better the way it is.

I am not sure what I am going to work on next, but I am sure I will find something.

Have a great evening.

Silhouette 201 - USA

I saw these letters over at SVG Cuts.  I just loved them.  I had to make them.  I figured they would be fairly easy to make.  They weren't.  I have been working on them off and on all day.  I still love them and they were worth it, but if you go to make them know it will take a while.

I figured since I had these made I would use them for a couple of challenges The first is Cut It Up.  The challenge this week is New Nations.  Then Little Scrap Pieces is also using a patriotic theme.

I have a few more things I want to make from this kit, so I may be back later.

Have a great afternoon.
