Sesame Street

Me again.  This is probably my last one for the night.

I have had this little creature in my coloring box for some time now.  I wanted to make a card for my niece's little boy.  I thought he would really like it.  He is from Craftin' Desert Divas.   I made him orange to look like Ernie from the Sesame Street.

I am using it in the following challenges:
   Connie Can Crop - Sketch
   Jo's Scrap Shack - Dies
Crafting When You Can - Dies & Punches
   Tuesday Throwdown - CAS
Through The Craft Room Door - Anything Goes

Shelf Card

Howdy....

I made one more shelf card.  I just love making these.  I am going to try to make one from scratch with my own ideas.  So keep a watch out for it.

This is a cowboy one.   Chat with you later on hopefully.

Back To School

Hello again.

Months ago, I  bought a mega bundle from Paper Creators for shelf cards.  All of them are print and cuts.  It is the cutest set of cards.  The set has to be convert into cut files for the Silhouette and it takes a while but I just love them.  You will be seeing more of these as I get them converted. I am going to try and get one more done today.

This is the back to school one.  Just so cute. I am going to put one on my boss' deck Tuesday when we go back to work.

I am using it for the following challenges:
    Creative Knockouts - Schools In
Glitter N Sparkler - Back To School
Crafty Sentiments - Lots of Layers
Die Cuttin Divas - Anything Goes

Chat later.

Football Season

Hello and Happy Hump Day.  One of the girls that works with me at the school, has a hump day t-shirt.  She wears it every Wednesday.  The elementary age kids just love it.

Sunday, I was in football mood.  Alabama has their first football game of the season Saturday and I wanted to have a few new things made up.  Hopefully my coffee table will be full for the first game.

I also made a new magnet to go with the schedule.  It was quick and easy to put together.  I found it over in the Silhouette Online store.  I printed and then cut the I using Heart Heart Studio paper.

It doesn't really go with any specific challenges, but these are the ones I am using it for:
Simon Says Wednesday - Anything Goes
Craft Your Passion - Anything Goes #327
Crafting From The Heart - Anything Goes #125

Chat with you a little later.

This one has been on my to do list for a couple of weeks.  It was quick and easy to put together.  I only made one and I have a feeling I should have made more.  Next time....

College Football

Hello.  Just a quick one before I head to the shower.  I am working today and I only have an hour before I leave.

This is an old project.  College football season is here.  I have had this schedule on my freezer for three years now.  Each year, I just print a new schedule and I am ready to go.  My son has the same one on his refrigerator.  This year, he needed a whole new set, the old one didn't make it through the last move.  I took the new set (they are the same except this one is a little bigger).  I purchased the pattern from the Silhouette Online store.  It is one of my favorites.  The big elephant is a decal I have had forever.

That's it for now.  Hopefully I will be around after work tonight.

Purple

Hello.  And welcome to another weekend.  I hope every one gets a chance to relax and at least enjoy part of the weekend.

If you are a regular on my site, you know I don't use a lot of purple.  It just isn't one of my go to colors.  A couple of sites have yellow and purple challenges so I decided to see what I could come up with.  It is more yellow than purple but it is there.

The flower jar is a Bugaboo digital and the Birthday Wishes sentiment is My Craft Spot (closed now).  I added some Winks of Stella to the flower that I popped out.

I am using it in the following challenges:
Sugar Pea - Mix It Up #11
Cupcake Inspiration - Purple, White & Honey
Tuesday Morning Sketches - Sketch #366
Crafting From The Heart - Anything Goes #124
   Crafty Sentiments - Anything Goes
MHK Designs - Purple & Yellow

Off to vacuum before I get ready for work.  Chat with you tonight hopefully.

Favorite Thing Ever

Hello.  When I think Summer, I think ice cream, but really I can eat ice cream year 'round.

This little cutie from Bugaboo is one of my favorites.  Something about her.....The filagree stripe is a Spellbinder border.  I had to cut out part of the middle to get it to fix on the card. You can't see it but I also added Winks of Stella on the ice cream and the little heart.

I am using it in the following challenges:
   Catch The Bug - Bingo
Dream Valley - Pretty In Pink
Hiding In My Craft Room -  Yummy
Craft Your Passion - Anything Goes #326
Freshly Made Sketches - Sketch #251

Off to clean my craft table.  Have a great night.

Give A Crafter A Cookie

Hello and Happy Thursday.

It is time for another Give A Crafter A Cookie challenge.  It is hard to believe it has been two weeks already.  This one is going to be a great one.

It is sponsored by Fred, She Said Designs and Kitty Bee.  I can't wait to see what every one comes up with.  This will be so much fun.

I went with a design from Fred, She Said.  Isn't this puppy so cute.

I kept the card pretty simple and added paw prints on the background square.  I thought the flowers in the pink stripe with with the flower the puppy was holding.

Make sure you come over to Give a Crafter A Cookie and enter the challenge this week.

August 3rd

Hello.  It is actually August 3rd but I don't want to post this card until after my sister's birthday so you aren't seeing it until August 23rd.  Happy Birthday Connie.  I hope you like your card.  It was real hard to keep it a secret.

It took me hours to get this file together.  It came in a mega bundle from Paper Creators.  (I can't find the exact file in their shop.)  Their files come as jpgs so you have to trace then and then cut them.  But I could get a clean trace so it took forever to clean up the files.  I think I did pretty good.  I really want to figure out how to make a generic one so I can add what ever theme I want.  Some thing to work on, I guess.

Again, HAPPY BIRTHDAY CONNIE.

Chat with all you later.

Black and White

Hello.  I really thought I would be here sooner than this.  Oh well.  Things happen.

A really quick one.  When I saw the black and white challenge at City Crafter's, I knew I wanted to make this card.  I saw it over a year ago on Pinterest and I just love how simple it was.  You can't see it on the picture but the butterfly is textured.

I am using it in the following challenges:
City Crafter - Black and White
Love To Scrap - Anything Goes
   Crafty Hazelnuts - Anything Goes

Chat with you later.

Quick and Easy

Hello and Happy Monday.  I am off to day and I so looking forward to some play time this afternoon.  I have to straighten the kitchen and then mop it.  Hopefully it won't take long and I will have time to play before I cook dinner.

I am still playing around with my Distress inks and the blending of colors.  I promise I will get off of it soon.  I still need to show my sister how to do it.  Hopefully tonight.   My digital was a little bit for this one but it looks ok.  I think the image is from Little Miss Muffet.  I have another idea for it so you will see it again over the next few weeks.

I am using it in the following challenges:
Freshly Made Sketches - Sketch #250
Inspiration Destination - Anything Goes #99
Jo's Scrap Shack - Anything Goes
Paper Creators Craft - Keep It Simple

Color Blending

Hello again.  I have another color blending card for you.  I even went looking for the link.  It is a Craftsy.  And it is even on sale right now.  I caught it several months ago and I went through the first lesson and made notes.  The previous car is the results of the notes.
class over at

This is the second lesson.  In the lesson, she put the stamped image in the middle of the card.  I decided to put mine at one of the bottom corners with a sentiment at the top.  I think shades of blue would pretty with some snowflakes.  I will have to remember this for this winter.

The bird is a Bugaboo digital stamp.  She is kind of springy, but I wanted to use her with the bright colors.

I am using it in the following challenges:
Through The Craft Room Door - Anything Goes
Through The Purple Haze - Anything Goes #106
Simon Says Wednesday - Make For The Border
Craft Rocket - Things With Wings

I am off to clean the kitchen and then read a while.  Chat with you tomorrow hopefully.

Daisy

Hello.  Another weekend.  Another day at work.   Another rainy day.  My grass may never get cut.  Just as soon as it drys out, we get more rain.  Oh well.

I wanted to try something new.  So I went searching and I found this technique that I have been meaning to try.  You use Tim Holtz Distress Ink and blending sponges.  It is lots of fun. I wish I had a link to share with you but I don't.  I just had some notes with the sponges.

I added a daisy to the side.  I just love daisy.  I don't know why but they rank up there with roses.  I always have a big pot full of daisies sitting by my front door.  They make me smile when I come and go out of the door.

I am using this in the following challenges:
Pile It On - Make Your Own Background
   Tuesday Throwdown - Anything Goes
   Penny's - Anything Goes #291
As You Like It - Favorite Flower
CAS-ual Friday - Time To Color

Cut It Up Challenge

Hello and Happy Friday.  I have my days straight today.

It is time for another Cut It Up Challenge.  This week the theme is a little different but it is a fun one.  August 28th is Bow Tie Day so we want to see Bow Ties on your projects.  Won't that be fun?  The challenge is being sponsored by Stinkin' Cute.

I used the tie trio cardc from Silhouette Online, but I took the regular ties off and added bow ties.  I am going to use it as a birthday card.  I love the trio cards and this one was fun to put together.

I can't wait to see what everyone does.  Have a great weekend.

Pretty Kitty

Hello.  I spent most of the day thinking it was Friday.  I guess I will have two Fridays this week.

I fell in love with the Pretty Kitty set from Stampin' Up.  I got my set yesterday and I decided to stamp at least one kitty tonight.  I am not real good at color kitties.  I guess I will have to practice some more.

This set has some great sentiments in it.  This one is purrrrfect for my BFF, so she will be getting this card in the mail.  She loves cats, too so that is even better.

I am using it in the following challenges:
Your Next Stamp - Sketch #45
Craft Your Passion - Anything Goes #325
Crafting From The Heart - Anything Goes #123

Off to take a shower.  Chat with you tomorrow.

Spencer Loves Christmas

Hello this rainy Tuesday.  I am off today and I am planning on getting a few things done around the house and some play time.

I like the idea of paper piecing but I just don't do it enough.  So I am going to try and keep it in mind today as I making a few cards.  The hat and shirt came out looking really cute on little Spencer (from Little Miss Muffet).  I left his pants a little green hoping to make it look Christmasy without the traditional green color.  I added glitter on the hat and around the boots.

The merry Christmas is from Morning Star.  I just love their little sentiments.  I have several of them and I use the all the time.

I am using it in the following challenges:
   ABC Christmas - Paper Piecing
Art Impressions - Glitter & Shimmer
CAS on Sunday - Sketch #89
   Glitter N Sparkle - Anything Goes #201
Sparkle N Sprinkle - Anything Goes

Off to finish the second card.  Chat with you later.

Baby

Hello.  Wow, three post and I haven't even left for work yet.  Please scroll down and see the other post.  It looks like a relaxing day.  Or at least I hope it will be.  Hopefully, I will have some more time to play after I get home from work tonight.

My niece is pregnant and will be having the  baby tomorrow.  It is going to be a little girl.  We are all so excited and can't wait.  Her son, who is two, is fun but we are all looking forward to having a little girl to spoil with lace and ribbons.

The pattern is from Silhouette Online and I used scraps for every thing except the card itself.  I just love when I get to use my scraps.  I have so many and I really need to use them more often.

I am using this card in the following challenges:
Aud Sentiment - For A Child
   Tuesday Throwdown - New Addition
   Brown Sugar - Anything Goes
   Jo's Scrap Shack - Scraps
Hiding In My Craft Room - Anything Goes #1

Well I am off to work.  Hopefully I will chat with you tonight.

Kitty Cat

Hello again.  I have another one for you.

This one was so much fun to make.  I used the Mini Cat Spinner from Art Impressions.  I have a couple more of these so you will see them again.  These are easy to put together and so adorable when they are done.  The saying comes with the stamps.

The striped paper was original red and white but I colored the white to match my colors.  I also embossed the bottom strip with paw prints.

I am using it for the following challenges:
   Lawnscaping Challenges - Puny Sentiments
   Penny's - Anything Goes #290
Inspiration Destination - Anything Goes #98
   Marker Pop - Embossing
   Di's Digitals - Fun Folds

Chat with you later.  Enjoy your day.

Mowing Grass

Good Monday morning.  Just a quick note before I get started with a million other things.  We have some one cut our grass every week.   He is a friend of the family.  Our yard is small and he can cut it in less than 30 minutes and then he has some spending money.   I don't know how much longer he will be cutting it so I wanted to make a quick thank you card for him.  Plus this is one of the stamp sets that my friend gave me and I wanted to use it and then put it away.

Ok, I am off to see what I can get into before I have to go to work.  Have a great day.

Summer Projects

Hello.  How is every one today?  Something I don't know if I have shared with you.  I am a list maker.  I have list for every thing.  At the beginning of every summer, I make a list of the projects I want to work on.  This year, I haven't done real well with the list, but I wasn't expecting to work all summer.  Oh well, things happen.

One of the things on my list is to clean/reorganize my craft room.  Things get piled up and not put back up and I decide that I just don't like how some things are organized so it is just a never ending project.  I started straightening yesterday and decided to go ahead and do a few things.  The first thing I wanted to do was take the leaf out of my craft table.  I do this every few months.  I like the table small.  It gives me more room to move around.  But then I have less space to work.  We will see how long this last.

In shrinking my table, I had to clean it off.  Which means, I need to finish up some projects.  So hopefully over the next few days, you will see me post some finished projects.

A dear friend of mine gave me some stamp sets that she didn't want any more and they were all sitting on my table.  Before putting them away, I am going to use a few of them. This Stampin' Up set was one of them.  I went ahead and made some more Christmas tags.

I also found two of these cute little moose.  I don't know why I printed them.  I probably printed them and realized they were to small.  Today, I made two tags for Christmas with them.

Well off to work on something else.
