From The Heart

I am still on vacation so making cards is a challenge.   I have no paper trimmer, no background paper, only minimum cardstock, and no big shot so no textures.  My cards for the next few days will be very simple.

I wanted to do the From The Heart Monthly challenge so I would get the digital image for next month.  This month, they gave us a choice between two images.  I chose the snowman.   I tried to make non-Christmasy so I could use it for winter.  I think it came out pretty good.

I picked up the ribbon from Hobby Lobby today.  I think it looked cut across the top of the card.  I was going to put a sentiment on the front and forgot all about it.  When I get home next week, I am going to add some glitter to it.

I am also going to use it for the following challenges:
   Get Inky - Winter Snow
   Inkspirational - Anything Goes
   Parade Your Crafts - Christmas/Winter

Off to work on the rest of my cards.  Have a good night.

Playtime

I have been busy the last few days getting ready for Christmas.  So this afternoon, I decided to take some time to just relax and play a little while.  I still have so many things I wanted to make for Christmas.  I won't get every thing done but maybe a few more things.

I decided to cut this lantern while I was folding clothes.  I knew it would take a while and I figured it would be waiting on me when I was ready.  It took forever to get it off the cutting mat because I didn't want to mess up the snowflakes.

I did it in white and blue so I could use it through the end of January.  I had planned on cutting several of them but after it took longer to put together than I thought, I decided on just one.  I am going to put it on my winter mantle.

I am going to use it for the following challenges:
   2 Creative Chicks - Christmas/Winter
   Silhouette Challenges - 3D
Incy Wincy - Let It Snow
   Crafty Catz - Anything Goes
   Cardz TV - Winter Wonderland
Chick N Scrap - Holiday Gifts
Craft Spot by Kimberly - Holiday Gifts

Wow, and I was just making it because I wanted it.

Have a great day.

Catch The Bug

I know you have seen several of my cards for the Holiday Chaos Celebration at Catch the Bug.  I didn't get them all done, but it was so much fun.  The theme each day was challenging but once you thought about it, it was fairly easy.

They announced the winners today and I won second place on Thursday's theme.  I am so excited.  Thank you Catch The Bug.  I will enjoy playing with my new digital stamps.

Have a great day.

Cut It Up Challenges

It is time for another challenge over at Cut It Up Challenges.    The theme this time around is Christmas.  You must use a die cut.  It is sponsored by As Cute As A Button.

I used a gingerbreadman border from Silhouette Online and added a Merry Christmas sentiment under them.  It was a quick and easy card to put together.

Make sure you join us.  It will be a fun two weeks.

Have a great day.

Meljen's Designs

I had a busy day and I didn't get a lot of stamping time.  I started these gift tags last night and I sat down tonight and color one of them for the Tags challenge at Meljen's Designs.  As you know I love Meljen's Designs and I thought this little penguin would be perfect for my niece's Christmas present.

Have a nice evening.

Catch The Bug

I just love the name of this site (Catch The Bug).  I caught the stamping bug over 20 years ago and I never lost it.  I am not complaining, it is a great way to relax.

I am working on day 5 of the Holiday Chaos Celebration challenge.  I really want to get all of these done, but this will be the last one for tonight.  I have a few more things I want to work on.

Day 5 is Pick a treat and then follow the recipe.  I decided on Sugar Cookies with Sprinkles - Make your card a shape other than Square or Rectangle, 3 pieces of Bling & Ribbon.  I had the peppermint candy shaped card on my to do list so I  thought this would work perfectly.

I don't have a good track record with cutting out words so I didn't try to cut the words.  Plus I don't know how it would have looked with the gems in the center of my candy.

Off to finish these cards.  Hope you have a great evening.

Ugly Sweater Card

I am still working on my Holiday Chaos Celebration Challenge.  I am up to Day 4.  I will get there.  I have until the weekend to get the other cards made.  I am going to try and get day 5 done tonight.  Hopefully, I will get it finished.

For the sweater card, I used the argyle sweater gift card box from Silhouette Online.  I enlarged to sweater to a 4" square.  The joy garland is from Meljen's Designs.  I think the card came out really good.

We always have an ugly sweater day at work right before Christmas break.  I think I will give this to one of the ladies that always goes all out.  She will get a kick out of it.

Have a great afternoon and I will be back in a little while.

Tuesday Throwdown

I was picked for the Top 3 at Tuesday Throwdown.  I am honored.  Thank you so much for picking my Christmas box.

Chocolate Covered Cherries

Good Sunday Morning.   I have to work today but before I leave I wanted to post my latest candy boxes.  I love it when I can re-use a cutting file.  I used the acorn choc box that I used at Thanksgiving.  I simply took the acorn off and added a tree.  I cut them in green and added little cupcake liners with chocolate covered cherries inside.

I am going to give them to the ladies at work.  I am sure they will love them.

I am going to use them for the following challenges:
   Silhouette Challenges - 3D
Love to Create - Holiday Gift/3D
   Tuesday Throwdown - Baking Materials
   Silhouette Online - Christmas

It is great when something I would already make fits into a challenge.

Have a great day.

Glitter N Sparkle

I won 2nd place at Glitter N Sparkle this week.  What a great surprise.  I will have some thing new to play with.

Have a great night.

Bugaboo Candy Cane Mouse

Since I messed up on my Catch The Bug Holiday Chaos Challange, I started completely over.  I wasn't sure about the mouse but she grew on me.  She really does color up really good.  I think the card came out really good.

Day 3 is  Pick your FAVORITE way to unwind during the holidays:
Cocoa & Holiday Music
Fuzzy Blanket & a Fire
Egg Nog & a Holiday Movie
Christmas Treats & a Glass of Milk
Take a Nap
And use the recipe below for your creation using today's New Release:
Cocoa & Holiday Music - Use the Color Chocolate & Something Silver
Fuzzy Blanket & a Fire - Use Texture and at LEAST 3 layers
Egg Nog & a Holiday Movie - Use the color cream & a Funny sentiment
Christmas Treats & a Glass of Milk - Non-Traditional Christmas Colors & BLING
Take a Nap - Keep it Simple - Use ONLY Cardstock

I chose the Cocoa and Holiday Music one.  I colored the mouse  with my copic markers and the added a background paper with a silver strip down the side.   The mouse is brown to cover the chocolate part of the challenge.

Off to get ready for work.  Hopefully this evening I will have something else new for you.

Snowman with a blue bird

I started out wanting to work on my Catch The Bug challenges.  I had this card all figured out when I realized that day 3 has to use a new release by Bugaboo, so this card wouldn't work.

I finished it anyway.  It is just so cute.  I used my snowflake texture folder for the background.  I used a snowman from Inkadinkdo.  And in order to make it Christmasy, I added a Merry Christmas stamp at the bottom of the square.

I guess I am off to work on my challenge card now.  Have a good night.

Catch The Bug

I am behind on my Catch the Bug Christmas Chaos challenges.  I am hoping to work on them later tonight or tomorrow.  In the meantime, I decided to go ahead and do the Catch The Bug Recipe Challenge.

I had some of my winter Northwood stamps on my desk so I picked up one and decided to use it.  The recipe called for 1 ribbon, 2 layers and 3 papers.   I added glitter to the snow.

I am going to use it in the following challenges:
Catch The Bug - Recipe Challenge
   C.R.A.F.T. - Christmas

That is probably all she wrote for tonight.  Have a great night and I will see all of you tomorrow hopefully.

Giant Snowflake

I saw a snowflake card on Craft Spot by Kimberly.  I just loved how clean it looked so I just had to make one too.  I wanted to add something to it so I went looking through my digital stamps and came up with this cutie from Whimsie Doodles.

I am going to use the card for the following challenges:
   2 Creative Chicks - Christmas/Winter
Clear It Out - Anything Goes
Craft Spot by Kimberly - Sparkle & Shine

I have another card to finish and then I will post it.  I hope you have a great night.

Santa Tic Tac

I have a quick Santa for you.  I don't normally do eat tic tacs but the boxes are so cute, I just had to make some.   I gave them to the ladies at work.  They just love getting some thing I have made.

It is going to be used on the challenge at Crafty Catz.

Have a great day.

More Tags

I am still working on tags for my Christmas presents.  I still have several shapes I want to make into tags.

Today, I used the reindeer from one of the Silhouette Online boxes.  The tags were bigger than normal but that is okay.

I am going to use the tags for the Silhouette Online Weekly Shape Challenge and the Catch The Bug  Chaos Christmas challenge.

I will be back in a little bit with some thing else.

Snowman Rocker

As you all know I love rocker cards, when I saw this treat topper by Lori Whitlock.  I knew I was going to make a card out of it.

I added gems to the holly on his hat and left the rest of the pattern as is.

I am going to use him in the Craft Spot by Kimberly challenge for shaped cards.

Have a nice night and hopefully I will be back in a little while with something else.

Happy Monday

The advantage of cleaning all day yesterday is that it gives me more time to play today.  I really enjoyed coming home to a clean house.

My project for the afternoon was this cute gingerbreadman from Imagine That.  There is a boy and a girl in the set, so there is so much you can do with the set.

I cut an extra set of hats so I could 3d it.  I also added glitter to it.  I cut the gingerbreadman border from Silhouette Online.  The Merry Christmas stamp is from Morningstar.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:
Imagine That - Monthly Challenge (I have never gotten one finished this early in the month)
   2 Creative Chicks - Christmas/Winter
Catch The Bug - Christmas Chaos - Day 1
   Creative Cutting - Christmas Cards
   Inkspiration - Anything Goes

Off to finish dinner.  I will be back later tonight.

Meljen's Designs & From The Heart Sketch

I cleaned house all day so I only have one project for you.  I had a list of digital stamps I want to use before Christmas. This 'Bitty Christmas Tree Bears' stamp from Meljen's Designs is one of them.  I think the little bears are just so darling.

I colored them with my copic markers and added glitter to the snowflakes, snow on the ground and on the tree.

I am going to use this card for the From The Heart Sketch #44 and the Glitter N Sparkle - glitter and sparkle challenge.

I hope everyone had a great weekend.
