One More

Good evening.  Ok, this is it for the night.  I am going to quit and get my desk cleaned off.  Then lose myself in a book for a couple of hours before I head to bed.

While my Mother was here, we looked at stamps and she picked this one out.  We both just loved it.  I ordered it off of Amazon and had it shipped here.  I stamped off some for me and next week, I will mail it to my Mother.  I hope she enjoys it as much as I did.  I am sure you will see it again.  It is by Stampendous.

I normally would have colored the roses pink but I used the colors off of Connie Can Crop.  I think the coral color goes well with the yellow daisies.  I cut the two leaves off the side of my rectangle.   After putting the card together, I added three perler beads at the bottom corner.

Husband's Birthday

Hello again.  Tomorrow is my husband's birthday.  I haven't had time to make a card, but I knew what I was going to use.

I purchased this digital from Tiddly Inks a few months ago.  I know it is a girl but with all of the tools, I knew I wanted it to make a card for my husband.  I cut the hat and drill out and added some 3d foam tape.

I also had some tools from ???? (maybe
Meljen's) so I used them on the inside of the card with a 1/2" stripe of matching paper across the top.

Summertime

Hello.  How are all of you doing?  This summer hasn't been what I expected.  I wanted do get a few projects done around the house and then to just relax and enjoy my craft room.  That hasn't happened.  I have been working 6 days a week in my part time job.  That is just unheard of.  Oh well.  Things happen.

My parents surprised me with a trip to Michigan.  I took the days off so we would have some time together.  My Mother and I spent some time making cards.  You will get so see them over the next few days I am sure.  This was one of them.

I just love these new fold cards over at Silhouette Online.  I am sure you will see more of them.  I know I have the cat
and the dog ones.  But I think there was more.  I even cut an extra watermelon and put it on the inside.

Art Impressions Stacker (30 Days - Day 5)

Hello.  My busy life just got crazy.  I went from working 4 days a week to 6 days a week.  I had lots of plans for this summer.  I still plan on getting a lot done, but it will be crazy.

I am going to try real hard to put the finishing touches on my cards tonight so I can get caught up on my coloring days.

My BFF got back from vacation and came over to play on Sunday.  I borrowed her new AI stacker and made a couple of cards.  I just love these little guys.  I made the slider and I think it is bigger than AI's original.  I am going to have to play around with it.

30 Day Coloring Challenge - Day 4

Hello.  This weekend got so busy that I didn't take the time to post any thing.  Friday night, I sat down to watch the Olympic Gymnastic Trails and decided to color while I watched.  I didn't make the card until Saturday morning, but it does count as coloring on day 4.

I have used the digital from Bugaboo several time and I am sure I will use it again.  I added Winks of Stella to the centers of the flowers.  The blue pattern is a texture folder that I have had forever and a day.  I also added some gems to the left side where the paper slipped and didn't get embossed.

Cut It Up

Good Friday morning.  It is time for a new challenge at Cut It Up Challenges.  And it is a big one.  It is our 100th challenge.  We have a bunch of prizes and the challenge is an Anything Goes, so we are hoping to get lots of entries.

I went with a basket of strawberries for my card.  You can find it here at Silhouette Online.  There are a lot of pieces but it was fun to put together.

I used winks of stella on the berries.  You can see it on one of the cards but not the other.  It must be the angle.

30 Day Coloring Challenge - Day 3

Hello.  I have ten minutes to get this posted, so I am going to have to type quick.

I am working on printing a bunch of images and also stamping some so I can color them.  So in the evenings all I will need to do is put the cards together.  I hope this will help me stick to the coloring challenge.

Simple and Quick

Hello.  Just a quick one before I head off to work.  My son is coming home next weekend.  Their is a big country music concert at the local Speedway.  He will be going all three days so he won't be home much, but I will get to see him.  I am also dog sitting for him while he is at the concert.  I just had to have a couple of surprises waiting for him.  When I get them all done, I will take a group pic.

This little dog house will be full of treats for the puppy.  It was just three cuts and real quick to put together.   Won't it be so cute with doggy bones in it?  I am going to pick them up this weekend.

30 Day Coloring Challenge - Day 2

Hello.  I didn't tell you a lot about the coloring challenge.  It was started by The Daily Marker.  I have tried several times but I never make it.  I hope I do this time.  At the very least, I want to get some images colored and I can make cards later.

Have you seen Art Impressions new stackers?  I just love them.  My BFF is on vacation but she called me Monday to tell me she was ordering a couple of them.  I just had to follow suit and order one too.  As expected, I ordered the elephants. She ordered the cats and turtles.  I then showed them to my sister and she ordered the dogs and ducks so between the three of us, we have the whole set.  I will be borrow all of the others, so keep a watch out for more cards.

The elephants were so easy to color.  Just my C1 copic marker with C3 for shadowing and RV00 for a pink taint in their ears.  The slider goes together so easy.  I just love it.  I also put some of the polka dot ribbon on the inside of the card.

30 Day Coloring Challenge - Day 1

Hello.  This is actually a day late.  I should have posted it yesterday but I never sat down and finished it.  I am going to try really hard to color something every day for the next 30 days.  I colored this yesterday but I didn't get the card finished.  I will be back later today with another one for day 2.

This is my new favorite girl from Bugaboo.  As I know you have seen the one with her smelling a flower.  Well, here is the other pose. 

One of the things I finally got done on my to do list was putting all of my paper away.  I have a cabinet where I store my paper by color.  I was way behind putting new paper away.  When I went to put the blue away the drawer was full.  So I really need to use more blue.  So that is way this card is blue (several different shades). 


I was going to put a butterfly where the bow is but the bow was sitting on my table so I decided to go ahead and use it.  The shade is different from the polka dot ribbon but the whole card is that way.

I even completed the inside of the card.

Panda Hat

Hello and Happy 4th of July to all of you in the USA.

I have some basic straightening I want to do today so I will be here off and on.  While I was on vacation, I went to the National Zoo in Washington DC.  I got to see the Pandas.  I was just so happy.  This little girl makes me remember.

The digital is from Tiddly Inks.  There are several good images in the set, so you will see this one again real soon.  Maybe even this week.  As always, I used my copic markers,  I just love being able to color hair with them and I am getting better at it, I think.

Bugaboo

Hello.  I hope everyone in the USA is having a great holiday weekend. 

I took a bunch of digitals on vacation with me to color.  This is one of them.  She is one of my favorite girls right now.  I just love her long hair pulled back.  She is a Bugaboo digital.  When I pulled her out this morning, I went over to Bugaboo to see if there are more of her.  There is one with a butterfly on her nose.  I bought it and I am sure you will see it soon.

The lattice panel behind her is a die that I have had sitting on my computer for months.   I thought it was the perfect size to for the card.

Back in the Craft Room

Hello.  It is time to get back into the swing of things.  My craft room is a mess and I still have a box packed with things I took on vacation.  Oh well, hopefully over the next few days, I will get things organized again.

I sat down today and updated my challenge list and then decided to make a card.  I have several of Lori Whitlock's new flip flap cards and I decided to play with one.  They are similar to a swing card.  Then I had to find a digital to print in the center of the card.  I never got around to playing with From The Heart's monthly image so I decided to use it. 

The white space around the ice cream bowl was just too much for me so I grabbed a sponge and put on some pink ink.  The striped paper on the outside works great with the colors of the ice cream. 

I just love how this came out.  I will be using more of the flip flap cards.

Hello.  Well, I am back from vacation and I hope to get more cards made next week.

Today it is time for another Give a Crafter A Cookie challenge.  The theme pic should be an easy one.  When I saw it and the sponsor, I knew which digital I was using.  The sponsor is Imagine That.  I just love Kris' images.  I even used some of her paper. I kept it simple but I just love the out come.
