Christmas In July

Hello.  I know I have been quiet.  It has been busy around my house.  School ended and I was all ready to spend some time in my craft room.  What is the saying....You make plans and God laughs.  He was laughing.

My son bought a house in Grand Rapids and moved the last of June.  I went up and spent a week with him.  It was just so much fun. We were busy but I just enjoyed the time.

I came home and it was time to get busy.  My husband was (still is) in the middle of a huge job and didn't have time for paperwork.  I usually help out but I had more than usual.  Then there was the 4th of July.

I had my routine down.  I was going to get some time in the craft room.  Then it dawned on me I had  two weeks before my son came home for his vacation.  That meant I had a lot to do.  I was moving his old bedroom and making it my craft room.  His new room needed painting.  It took forever to get the other room cleaned out but I did it.  I painted it red and gray.  University of Alabama colors.  It came out amazing.  I just love it. (I will be posting pictures later.)

The room got finished on Tuesday and he was due Thursday night.  I moved all the furniture and got it all set up.  But that  left a mess in the rest of the house.  I spent Thursday moving things into my new craft room.  I knew it would not be ready for his visit but I had to get started and organize some of the mess.

We had a great visit.  His girlfriend and I even got in my craft room for a little while.  I am still moving things around but I am getting there.  I updated my challenge list on Sunday and I really want to get a few things done this week.

To that end, I ran across this card, I started and never finished.  I thought it would be perfect for several of the Christmas In July challenges.  The little girl/elf is from Bugaboo stamps. I had previously cut all of the circles and I just needed to embossing the background and add all of the gems.

I am using it in the following challenges:
   AudSentiments - Christmas In July
   Crafty Sentiments - Anything Goes
Die Cutting Divas - Christmas In July
Crafty Gals - Christmas In July

Well, I am off to fold some clothes and work in the kitchen for a few minutes.  Chat with you again soon.  Have a great afternoon.
