Give A Crafter A Cookie

Hello and Happy Thursday.

It is time for another Give A Crafter A Cookie challenge.  It is hard to believe it has been two weeks already.  This one is going to be a great one.

It is sponsored by Fred, She Said Designs and Kitty Bee.  I can't wait to see what every one comes up with.  This will be so much fun.

I went with a design from Fred, She Said.  Isn't this puppy so cute.

I kept the card pretty simple and added paw prints on the background square.  I thought the flowers in the pink stripe with with the flower the puppy was holding.

Make sure you come over to Give a Crafter A Cookie and enter the challenge this week.

August 3rd

Hello.  It is actually August 3rd but I don't want to post this card until after my sister's birthday so you aren't seeing it until August 23rd.  Happy Birthday Connie.  I hope you like your card.  It was real hard to keep it a secret.

It took me hours to get this file together.  It came in a mega bundle from Paper Creators.  (I can't find the exact file in their shop.)  Their files come as jpgs so you have to trace then and then cut them.  But I could get a clean trace so it took forever to clean up the files.  I think I did pretty good.  I really want to figure out how to make a generic one so I can add what ever theme I want.  Some thing to work on, I guess.

Again, HAPPY BIRTHDAY CONNIE.

Chat with all you later.

Black and White

Hello.  I really thought I would be here sooner than this.  Oh well.  Things happen.

A really quick one.  When I saw the black and white challenge at City Crafter's, I knew I wanted to make this card.  I saw it over a year ago on Pinterest and I just love how simple it was.  You can't see it on the picture but the butterfly is textured.

I am using it in the following challenges:
City Crafter - Black and White
Love To Scrap - Anything Goes
   Crafty Hazelnuts - Anything Goes

Chat with you later.

Quick and Easy

Hello and Happy Monday.  I am off to day and I so looking forward to some play time this afternoon.  I have to straighten the kitchen and then mop it.  Hopefully it won't take long and I will have time to play before I cook dinner.

I am still playing around with my Distress inks and the blending of colors.  I promise I will get off of it soon.  I still need to show my sister how to do it.  Hopefully tonight.   My digital was a little bit for this one but it looks ok.  I think the image is from Little Miss Muffet.  I have another idea for it so you will see it again over the next few weeks.

I am using it in the following challenges:
Freshly Made Sketches - Sketch #250
Inspiration Destination - Anything Goes #99
Jo's Scrap Shack - Anything Goes
Paper Creators Craft - Keep It Simple
Little Miss Muffet - Anything Goes

Off to the kitchen.  Chat later.

Color Blending

Hello again.  I have another color blending card for you.  I even went looking for the link.  It is a Craftsy.  And it is even on sale right now.  I caught it several months ago and I went through the first lesson and made notes.  The previous car is the results of the notes.

This is the second lesson.  In the lesson, she put the stamped image in the middle of the card.  I decided to put mine at one of the bottom corners with a sentiment at the top.  I think shades of blue would pretty with some snowflakes.  I will have to remember this for this winter.

The bird is a Bugaboo digital stamp.  She is kind of springy, but I wanted to use her with the bright colors.

I am using it in the following challenges:
Through The Craft Room Door - Anything Goes
Through The Purple Haze - Anything Goes #106
Simon Says Wednesday - Make For The Border
Craft Rocket - Things With Wings

I am off to clean the kitchen and then read a while.  Chat with you tomorrow hopefully.

Daisy

Hello.  Another weekend.  Another day at work.   Another rainy day.  My grass may never get cut.  Just as soon as it drys out, we get more rain.  Oh well.

I wanted to try something new.  So I went searching and I found this technique that I have been meaning to try.  You use Tim Holtz Distress Ink and blending sponges.  It is lots of fun. I wish I had a link to share with you but I don't.  I just had some notes with the sponges.

I added a daisy to the side.  I just love daisy.  I don't know why but they rank up there with roses.  I always have a big pot full of daisies sitting by my front door.  They make me smile when I come and go out of the door.

I am using this in the following challenges:
Pile It On - Make Your Own Background
   Tuesday Throwdown - Anything Goes
   Penny's - Anything Goes #291
As You Like It - Favorite Flower
CAS-ual Friday - Time To Color

Cut It Up Challenge

Hello and Happy Friday.  I have my days straight today.

It is time for another Cut It Up Challenge.  This week the theme is a little different but it is a fun one.  August 28th is Bow Tie Day so we want to see Bow Ties on your projects.  Won't that be fun?  The challenge is being sponsored by Stinkin' Cute.

I used the tie trio cardc from Silhouette Online, but I took the regular ties off and added bow ties.  I am going to use it as a birthday card.  I love the trio cards and this one was fun to put together.

I can't wait to see what everyone does.  Have a great weekend.
