Christmas in July

Hello.  My In-Laws are still visiting so my crafting time and been a little here and a little there.   I have three cards started.  I did get one card made for Christmas in July, but I printed out four images, so I need to finish the rest of them. 

I used Whimsie Doodles for this card.  I have so many of their Christmas images and I love using them.  This is Stocking Goodies.  This little girl is so adorable in her pjs. 

I used the sketch from Digi Sketch Challenges.  It was a quick and easy sketch and those are the best kind.  I don't have all of my Christmas paper out yet so I just looked through my scraps.  Each card will probably have different paper.

Cute Little Elephant

Hello again.  Well I guess it is actually a new day.  The house got quiet.  Everyone went to bed so I decided to make a card.

I found this little elephant over at Lee H Illustrations.  I just love elephants so I just had to buy him.  I have seen numerous cute little pink elephants but I always do mine gray.  Do you think this little elephant is getting in shade from the flower?  Probably not, but that is what I thought of when I saw him.

I think I am going to take the bow off of the twine.  It looks too droopy for me.

Birthday Box

Hello.  Today was my husband's birthday.  I put together one of Lori Whitlock's pop up boxes for him.  It came out really good.  It was super easy to put together.

Lori Whitlock

Hello again.  While I was playing with some of Lori Whitlock's files, I decided to cut this one.  It has been on my to do list for a while.  I did it in red, white and blue. It is too late for the 4th of July, but I will ahead of the game next year.  So Happy Birthday USA.  (a little late or early depending on how you look at it.)

The banner was too small for my sentiment so I left it off and cut this one with one of my decorative scissors.  I think it looks like a flag waving (kind of).  

If I make more of these,  and I might, I could take the celebrate freedom off and just put Happy Birthday.  We will just have to wait and see.

Birthday Balloons

Good Wednesday Afternoon.  I hope every one is having a great hump day.

The next two months are big birthday months for me, so I need to make some cards.  I decided to use Lori Whitlock's new balloon card.  When I first cut them, I thought the balloons were huge, but I just love the card. 

I went outside my normal colors.  I really liked these colors together.  I textured the top balloon so that there was so solid colors sitting on top of each other.  Instead of cutting the little pieces around the balloons, I cut one big piece.  This made putting the card together super easy.  I will be using this again. 

The challenge over at As You Like It is favorite sentiment.   Like several of the design team, I don't have a favorite sentiment but I do love this small Happy Birthday.  I have used it several times and it is perfect for the front of the card.

Imagine That

Good afternoon.  I won't be on here long because I have got some running around to do, but hopefully this evening, I will be back.

Did you know that Imagine That had sketches?  I didn't or if I did, I forgot.  I was looking around store site the other day and I saw them.  They have been open on my computer since.  So today, when I sat down to make a card, I went to the sketches first.  I think you will be seeing more of them.  There are some great possibilities.

I don't use purple often.  It just isn't one of my favorite colors.  I only a couple copic markers in purple, only one roll of ribbon and no buttons.  But when I sat down with this image from Little Miss Muffet, I decided to make her dress purple.  I didn't want to use pink.  I have made too many pink cards lately. I didn't want a lot of purple so I just highlighted with it. 

I reversed the embossing on it.  I thought it would get it a different look.  I think it came out really well.

Squigglefly

Hello.  It has been a busy weekend.  I had some household chores to do and I am slowly getting them all done.  I even cleaned my craft room.  I have some new shelves and I have been organizing.  Once I get everything back in here.  I will take a picture or two.

I took a break and printed out one of my Sguigglefly digital images.  This one is another Shy Bear (sbhibella) image.  I think he is so cute.   I covered the heart up with the clouds.   The saying is from My Craft Spot by Kimberly in the Simply Sentiments.

The clouds don't look great but I could find my cloud stencil.  It is somewhere.  I will find it eventually.
