Fun In The Snow

Hello.  Just a quick one.  This may be one only way I will see snow this winter is on my cards.


The stamp is by Mulberry Woods.  This snowman is so cute and brings back a lot of memories of growing up.  I am from the South and we didn't get a lot of snow but when we did.  It was so much fun sledding down the road by my Grandmother's house.

I put stickles on all of the little falling snowflakes and added a snowflake on the corner.  A friend borrowed my snowflake punches so I pulled out one of my dies.  And then I added a gem.

Cut It Up Challenges

Hello and Happy Friday.  I hope everyone is ready for a nice and relaxing weekend.  I still didn't take as much time as I would have like this week to just relax in my craft room but what else is new.

I have a new challenge for you over at Cut It Up Challenges.  This will be fun.  The theme is HOT DRINK.  It must include a hot beverage; coffee or tea and it has to have a die cut some where on the card.

The challenge is sponsored by Newton's Nook Designs.  I just adore their stamps so this was so much fun to play with.    The winner will get a $20 store credit.

I used the set called Newton Loves Coffee.  Newton is my favorite cat (next to my living cat of course lol).  I am getting better at coloring him.  The sentiment is also in the set.  I will be using this set over and over.  Just so cute and some great sentiments included.

Penny Black

Hello.  How is everyone?  Ready for another week? 

I have had this set for a while and I always forget about it.  I decided to use the dump truck stamp.  It is a little bigger than I would normally use, but I do like it.  I just feel like it takes up the whole card.  And because of that, I added my sentiment in vellum.

Fluffy Winter Snowman

Hello.  Where did last week go?  It was just so busy.  Hopefully, I will be around more this week.

I saw these new cut files from Lori Whitlock and I just fell in love with them.  You will be seeing more of them.  After I put the card together, I just had to add something to the top of it.  my sister thought the Fluffy Snowman from Penny Black would work and she was right.  I just love him on there.  As before, I paper pieced the scarf and hat.

Dinosaur

Hello and how are all of you today? 

The challenge over at Die Cuttin' Divas is Dinosaurs.  My son is all grown up and I don't have a lot of need for dinosaur cards, but my niece has a 2 year old.  I thought he might like this card.  I started with the Happy Birthday dinosaur card from the Silhouette Online store and changed it to fit my needs.  I am sure Liam will love getting the card in the mail.

Valentines, Here we come

Hello.  How are you on this sunny Sunday?  I am so glad to see some sunshine.  It has been so rainy lately.  I have said it before but I will say it again, I would rather have snow than rain in the middle of the winter.  Rain is ok during the summer when it is warm/hot, but cold rain is just.....

I have a quick card for you before I get ready for work.  I really needed a lots of layer challenge for this card because it is loaded with layers.  Oh, well.

The image is from Bugaboo.  The image comes with the Happy Valentine's Day sentiment or without it if you want to use it for something else.  I added lots of red for Valentine's.

Cut It Up Challenges

Hello.  It is time for another Cut It Up challenge.  I have missed some of them but it is good to be back into the swing of things.  This was fun challenge and I hope everyone has fun with it.

The theme is It's Snow Fun! You must add a snowflake on your card some where.  The challenge starts today and ends January 25th.  The sponsor will be Scrappy Dew.  She will be giving a $10 gift certificate to the Scrappy Dew store.  Lots of great things to choose from.

I decided to purchase one of Scrappy Dew's set to make my card.  I picked up the snowmen set.  Four adorable snowmen.  I only used two so you will see the other day later....

I made a tri-shutter card.  I added lots of snowflakes from the Silhouette Online Store along with a winter scene in the middle of the card.  It took me a while to cut every thing but it was a lot of fun to put together.

Hello.  It is wet and cold here.  I am so ready for the rain to leave.  I would rather have snow.

Cleaning Day

Hello.  How is everyone today?  I haven't made any thing new over the last few days because my desk/table was all covered up.  So today, I am taking the time to clean it up.  Tonight will be play time.

I had these cards sitting on my desk.  I made them a couple of days ago and I didn't post them.  So here they are.  I found both of them in the Silhouette Online store.  Both of them are by Lori Whitlock.  I just love these cards.

I used glitter paper behind the snowflake.  And on the snowman one, I embossed a swirl on the snowman for some texture.

Snowy Days

Hello again.   Back again with another card.  I am still working on snowmen.  I have so many I want to use over the next few weeks.  But I need to work on Valentine's also.  You will probably get a mix.

This is a Bugaboo image that is just too use not to use. I added some liquid pearls on the snowflakes falling down.

Fluffy Hat Snowman

Hello.  How was everyone's weekend?  Mine went really fast as always.

This is one of my favorite snowmen.  It is just so cute and adorable.  I wasn't sure what color I wanted to use so I went looking through my scrap bags.  I ran across this piece of blue polka dots and knew it would be perfect.  I like to paper piece but I have gotten spoiled with my Silhouette and I haven't had to fuzzy cut anything it a while.  Usually I scan the image into my computer and let me Silhouette cut it for me.  I didn't take the time to do it this time.

Wild Rose

Hello.  On a wet, windy and cold day.  I thought we would get some snow but we got rain instead.

I have had this Wild Rose stamp for a while and I never had used it.  I decided to use it for a couple of late Christmas challenges.  And to get a head start on my cards for next year.

My Hubby

Hello.  How is everyone this fine wet day?  I didn't know it was going to rain today, but it did.  Oh well....

I had this card on my Valentine to do list.  But the challenge at Just Add Ink was Just add "n", so it fit the bill.  I thought I would make it and just save it, but the card is so cute, I think I am going to hide it tonight and let my husband find it.

The card came from Silhouette Online.  It is just so adorable.  I will definitely be making it again.  Just perfect for my electrician husband.

Brrrrr

Hello.  Just another quick one.  I actually made this a couple of days ago and forgot to post it.  My sister and I made it together and she wasn't completely happy with it but I just thought the snowman was adorable. 

I found the pattern on Silhouette Online.  I cut the earmuffs and nose in white so I could color them and add some shading.  I also shrunk the card down to  4 1/4".  I just like to have a standard size so I don't have to go to the post office to get it checked.

New Year

Hello.  Happy New Year's a day late.  I worked yesterday and then my sister and I worked on a card but it isn't finished yet.  Plus I am going to use if for something so you won't see if for a few days.

I don't make a lot of New Year's cards.  I usually too busy doing the Christmas things.  I am going to try over the next few weeks to make a few cards and put them up for next year.  I only made one of these cards because I couldn't decide on colors and I wasn't sure if I would like what I decided on.  I do like it so I will be making a few more of these cards. 

The pattern came for the Silhouette Online store.  It was a really good pattern.   The only thing I regret is that I used some adhesive paper and it isn't sticking really well.  I think will end up having to put some more glue on the back of the glass to make it stick.
