Cut It Up

Hello and Happy Halloween.  It is challenge time over at Cut It Up.  The last two weeks went fast and we got some great projects entered.  Thank you to every one that made a project to enter.

The theme for the next two weeks is Tags!  Use more than one tag on your card, layout, or project.  The challenge is sponsored by Pretty Cute Stamps.  The winner will receive a $15 gift certificate.

For my tags, I layered them on top of each other. It is hard to see but there is a black tag and then the white one and the gray slanted tag. 

I kept the card simple since the tag was so big.

From The Heart

Hello.  I hope everyone has had a great weekend.

After work today, I decided to make a card using the From The Heart sketch challenge.  This week, it was pick any sketch from their site.  I picked one that was already used by the design team.  It is a simple layout, but you can add to it.  Which is what I did, I added the twine and the brads.  The image is the Broom Flying Birdbrain.  Perfect for Halloween.

Think Pink

Good Sunday morning.  I haven't been outside yet, but it the sun/glare on my computer screen is any indication, it is a sunny day outside.  I wish I was going to be home, I would work outside some, but I have to work.  I will be leaving in about 45 minutes, so this is my only card for the morning.

I have several challenges with the think pink theme plus I need a few more cards for the ladies at work.  I decided to use the Cocoa's ribbon from the Sweet N Sassy Patriotic Cocoa set.  I think Cocoa is so cute and I have him in several different scenes.

I used the sketch from Sketch N Stash.  I didn't like this ribbon but I was running out of time.  I still have a few things to do before I leave for work.  When I make the others tonight, I will change the ribbon.

Halloween Box Card

Hello....Good morning or night depending on how you look at it.   My sister saw a box card similar to this on the web somewhere and she really wanted to make one.  I just had to make one with her.  I started it before the Alabama football game, but I didn't finish it.  So here I am at 1:30 am finishing it up.

All of the pieces came from Silhouette Online.  I wish I had all of the links but there were just too many of them.  If you want to know, just leave a comment and I will go back and look through my library.

Hello.  It has been another busy and long week.  But I did find some time for my craft room today.

Halloween Again

Halloween Spiders

Good Sunday morning.  I am working today so I thought I would get some play before going in.

I don't normally use a lot of black, but Halloween needs black.  After all, you have to make at least one card with a spider or bat.  I think I have a couple this year already.  I thought about changing the orange on this card to black.  But I decided that it would be too black.  I need to use the orange circles on something. 

This card was quick and easy to make.  The cutting took most of the time.  Lots of little spiders to cut out.  I am glad I have my silhouette.  I wasn't sure how well the spider's legs and the word wiggly would cut, but I only had a couple that didn't cut well.

Similar but Different

Hello.  I had a very enjoyable day.  I didn't get a lot of new things done, but I did work on my BCA treat boxes.  Just a few more and they will be finished.  Then I just need to make some cards.

I had this page opened on my computer.  The little Kadoodle Bug Design's bear is just so cute.  I have wanted to use him since he was put on the Kadoodle Bug site.  When I saw him as a card, I knew I would be making him.

Mine is a little different.  I didn't add the sign, the ribbon or the bat.  This bear is just so cute.  I smile just looking at him.

Imagine That

Hello and good Saturday morning.  This was a busy week and I am looking forward to just relaxing around the house today.  Well, I do have a few things I want to do as far as cleaning but I plan on being in my craft room a lot.

I am still a Guest Designer on Imagine That.  I missed making a card for the blog site so I decided to make a card and post it on the facebook page.  I have so many amazing digitals from Imagine That by Kris.  This has been a great two months and I hate to see them end.

Now for the card...I used the Crows and Pumpkins image that was released last month.  It is a great fall image and prints out great.  I used the print and cut feature on my Silhouette Cameo and cut a circle around the image.  I decided to use the new seal flap card from Silhouette Online. 

I printed the pumpkin paper from the Gertie Goose - Fall Winter paper pack by Imagine That.  (If you have never printed any of Imagine That's paper, you should.  It prints amazingly.)  The flap section of the card was original cut in white but it didn't look right, so I took my doppler and add some orange and green to it.

Don't forget the Imagine That progressive challenge.  You have under two weeks left to enter.

Cut It Up

Miss Kate

Hello.  Today, I decided to play and do the housework later tonight.  I always seem to get caught up and then I never get to my craft room.  It also helps that I cleaned off my craft table last night.

A couple of weeks ago, I took one of Miss Kate's Cuttables' titles and made a card out of it.  I purchased several more titles so I could make some more.  This was one of them.  I love candy apples in the fall.  Just so yummy. 

The title had three layers but I only made two.   I didn't think you will be able to see the middle layer, so I left it out.  When I duplicated the bottom layer and welded it into a card,  I did it backwards.  My card opens on the wrong side, but it will just have to stay that way.  I don't want to waste the paper.

SVG Cutting Files

Hello. 

Today, I made a shaker card by SVG Cutting Files. I cut all of the pieces and immediately started putting the pieces together.  I grabbed the top layer of the cake and put all of the foam tape around it.  After I got it all on, it dawned on me that I hadn't put any acetate on it.   I had to cut another piece to go on top of it.  But that is okay, you would never know if I hadn't told you. 

The next problem came when I went to put my confetti in the cake.  I didn't have anything that looked right.  I decided on the stars.  Despite the problems, the shaker cake when together really easily.

The set comes with a candle, cake, gift and birthday hat.  I will be making the others at some point.

Candy Corn Box

Hello.  It is hard to believe that I have made anything in a week.  It has been extremely busy at work and when I get home, I am so tired.  Hopefully, next week, will be a better week.

I decided to make this cute little box from Silhouette Online.  It was quick and easy.  And fun to make.  I didn't put a sentiment on the top.    I cut the candy corns out of white and then colored them with my copic markers.

From The Heart

Good Evening.  Just a quick card, before I head off to bed.

Since it is football season, I thought I would make a few cards today.  I am making University of Alabama ones and Auburn University ones.

Meljen's Designs = Walking Turtle

Good morning.  I had planned on staying home and getting a few things done around the house and playing in my craft room.  But late yesterday, one of my co-workers called and she is sick and wanted me to work for her today.  So I am going in.  I don't mind, there is always next week.

I have had this little turtle on my desk for a couple of months now.  I decided today to use him.  He is going out to a couple of friends who are walkers.  Just a little encouragement to keep going.

One of my favorite colors for masculine cards is green.  So I thought this would work go with the turtle.

I kept the card simple.   I followed the sketch at Seems A Little Sketchy.  I added the ribbon and the gems.  Usually I just add three gems the same size, but I thought I would do them a little different today.

Imagine That

Hello.  Happy hump day. It seems like it should be Friday already.  Oh well, just a few more days.

Today is the day that Imagine That by Kris reveals the October Progressive Challenge set.  You will be so amazed.  It is a great set.  I am so excited.  Two of my favorite things.  Elephants and BCA.

Isn't this just the greatest?  I can't wait to see what every one makes with this set.
